I think it's fascinating & seems to be better for the cows bc THEY can decide when they WANT to be milked. it's gentle & hygienic & the cows don'(t seem to object.
The best free agency milking system to date. The cow decides when to be milked ; is stimulated to enter the milker by a feeding system designed encourage entry. This system is in harmony with the herd environment.
I'm glad to see that these Cows have their full tail, and hair on their udders. I wonder what kind of feed the machine is giving to the cow? I hope it's hay/grass based feed.
The feed in the robot is usually starch based pellet and starch is remove or decreased from the cows diet at the bunk so the cow is enticed to come to the robot to get it starch
About 40% of energy for cows cames from barley, oat, wheat, rapseed, soybeans, corn or what ever is availeable, rest of food is grass silaga or corn silage... cow can give 15-20 liters by eating hi quality young grass, rest 30 liters per day is by heavyer foodstuff... cow will get heavy ketose and other healthproblems if cant get enough energy...
In New Zealand we do the same thing except it's on a rotary platform that holds 50+ cows. It may not be optional for the cows but trust me they love getting the special feed, and sometimes push for next turn. If you still think its inhumane they get a big paddock full of lush grass for most of the day and are only milked for an hour or two twice a day. Find a better system and feel free to argue. In short this method is over-complicated and unnecessary it is a lot simpler to achieve happy cows.
Fascinating machine in the way the cows cooperate in the process, but one thing isn't clear. What happens if the cow decides to relieve itself while milking? I can see that beautifully clean stainless steel not remaining so... Oops!! Lol
why is there always some idiot on here saying it's bad for the cow to be milked, I wonder if he has the same attitude about human life, I doubt it. Great invention, wonder if it's cost effective
You'd think so. They are getting quite popular. I reckon it would pay for itself greatly.Better quality product. Better price given to the farmers for the product . Happy cows.
Yes the cow is shocked . There are probes that lower down onto the cows back. It is a touch first then a shock so the cow usually leave on the touch and doesn't wait for the second touch which is the shock
They actually clean themselves, bacteria is a huge issue for the whole milk line starting form the tits until the tank. These robots are regularly washing the whole line with hot water and chemicals and they rinse it.
+Jein Woo Perhaps a separate robotic arm with a pressure washer on the end to do a regular cleaning cycle of the rear enclosure. This would allow the robot to clean only where it needs to be cleaned or areas that are sealed being cleaned to reduce the chance of a person squirting water or other cleaning solution into areas of the rear enclosure where it isn't needed or could do damage. This would be useful if the cow has a bowel or bladder release and the area is quickly cleaned up or is there a catch bucket that moves into position in case the animal defecates to minimise the cleaning.
I liked this machine, Please send me quotation of this machine to be delivered in India. ALso let me know which breed of cow is comfortable with this machine.
two probes are lowered onto the cows back . The first time is just a touch the second time it gives a small shock the cow will leave . The next time the cow remembers the shock so they usually leave on the touch
There is 1440 minutes in a day. if you want to milk 65 cows per day 3 times which is the average your shooting for given some cows will be more aggressive to get in and some wont some will pass through 2 times and some can make as many as 8 tries in a day so just for average say3 times at 7 minutes thats1365 minutes only leaving 80 minutes in the day for entering and exiting the milker and lets not forget how fast are the cows entering and exiting most cow dont run in and run out most take there timethen you also have to remember that the milker washes at lest 2 times a day for 20 minutes. I think its going to be hard to honestly get 65 cows through in a day.
It's unlikely to do that. Cows like being milked. When the udder gets too full, it's really uncomfortable for the cow. Studies showed that when allowed to choose how often to be milked, cows actually like to do it more often than the industry was doing it. These machines make it possible for cows to get milked whenever they want to, so people don't have to do it.
It takes to much time to start milking and the solid arm(like lely) is much faster and sistem like this the hosed can be easily detached by the cow leg that is why the whole arm is better then this
TERRY IBUKI No it is getting to hard to get good help milking is a seven day a week job 2 or 3 times a day it take a specal person to milke cows with this robot milker you do not have to worrie if some body calles off work unless the robot breaks down then you need the tech .I do not like the robot but labor is getting harder to come buy . I do not like the self check out in stores it take a person job away if you replace more people with robots than who you going to sell to robots do not eat or drink do not spend pay check do not draw pay check. What use will we have for people dosen't look good after you think about .
William Robinson or it’s just easier for the calf to do it from the front or side but the arm is more mobile so it’s better for the arm from behind (I am an atheist but idc if you believe in god)
this is sick. I can't believe engineers have spent hundreds of hours to design these machines, to just exploit other living creatures. This is the world that we live in today.
+Thomas Miller I don't. Simple. I leave other living beings alone, by refraining from consuming products / by-products that came from exploitation and torture and slavery.

It's like a milking resort. Stress free milking. ☺
Happy cow. I saw one smiling. 😁
They should have one for the bulls as well.
Only fair.

Cow :Stop do that!I'm male!Oh no,dont stop
Chill bro
🤣
This looks like a better design than most.
It looks like a very good system
I saw robot milking machine at Dairymaster stand at Irish National Ploughing Championship in Laois Ireland in Sept. 2014
that was lely a4 not dairymaster
did u see a dairymaster robot in 2014? I doubt they have robotic milking options in that company but il check
BEAUTIFUL VIDEO.

Jein Woo So what part of their diet is the milk made from?

You'd think this would be hard to object to. Looked liked the cow enjoyed it to me not to mention cutting out dairy is bad for your health.
Doublin Tucksveto
That depends on your genes though?
Why is the part where the device provider is handling the blue O-ring in reverse?
how much does robot milker cost per unit and where is the nearest dealer in ohio?
Is it true this robot shocks the cow to get them to leave like the Lely A4?
Oh my lets hope not. =( According to what they're saying the Cow is free to choose when to come & go herself hope it's true.
Yes the cow is shocked . There are probes that lower down onto the cows back. It is a touch first then a shock so the cow usually leave on the touch and doesn't wait for the second touch which is the shock
Nice video
Fascinating. Truly. They don't mention what the farmer has to do to clean it, though.
They actually clean themselves, bacteria is a huge issue for the whole milk line starting form the tits until the tank. These robots are regularly washing the whole line with hot water and chemicals and they rinse it.
The inside of the box become very dirty because of the milk splash and requires a lot of cleaning

very nice
MOO IM A FISH IN 2020
from the cows pushing around?
How long would 1000 cows take to be milked?
It takes about 8-10 min per cow
Jein Woo Seriously I work on a farm and it takes about 10 minutes for us to milk 20 cows.
This is why robotic milking is only good for small herd of 50-250 cows One milker for 50 cows
Delaval VMS robot can milk in around 6-7 mins per cow and up to 65 cows per robot.
There is 1440 minutes in a day. if you want to milk 65 cows per day 3 times which is the average your shooting for given some cows will be more aggressive to get in and some wont some will pass through 2 times and some can make as many as 8 tries in a day so just for average say3 times at 7 minutes thats1365 minutes only leaving 80 minutes in the day for entering and exiting the milker and lets not forget how fast are the cows entering and exiting most cow dont run in and run out most take there timethen you also have to remember that the milker washes at lest 2 times a day for 20 minutes. good !
After this they head to the slaughter house.
Any other options ? Please feel free
Not that fast.

Quite expensive to maintain them I hear.
the cow kicks cups off then what

thank you very much

Can these robots be adapted to use a fleshlight?
I'm asking for a friend.
yeah it actually can
what if a human accidently got inside?
Been there and it has lasers to detect weather something is in so you just step to one side and the gates open again
It milks you
Most people have become very lazy when it comes to milking a cow
TERRY IBUKI No it is getting to hard to get good help milking is a seven day a week job 2 or 3 times a day it take a specal person to milke cows with this robot milker you do not have to worrie if some body calles off work unless the robot breaks down then you need the tech .I do not like the robot but labor is getting harder to come buy . No cleaning or disinfecting
Have a look again. They clearly showed the cleaning and disinfecting process
Why do we drink cows milk if it's for their babies. And is it bad for you? Idk, life is filled with rumors and studf
u fking dumb nigga
I think it can be bad for you if you drink too much. I don't know why people drink other creatures' milk.
FunnyVids? Nah
It's very bad for you if you do not have the right genes for it.

If coming from behind was an advantage God would have told the calf to do it that way.

most cattle in this world would not exist if not for the fact that they can be exploited.
