“The ass is fat, but its fake” 💀 I’m agree with you on the mental health talk being vain. A lot of the times, I feel like people use it nowadays for their lack of self-worth and shitty attitude. Rappers like Juice WRLD and Kid Cudi are actually very one dimensional when talking about mental health. It’s all pretty surface level. Also, plenty of rappers talked about their mental state back then, but didn’t just make that one aspect of their music. I would argue that rappers back then did it more effectively also. When I listened to a song like “You Can Never Feel My Pain” by Prodigy, you can really tell the difference between real pain and fake emo shit. When rappers nowadays talk about “mental health,” a lot of the times it’s just an excuse to flex (cover insecurities), talk about pill popping, and diss women.

I watched the devils advocate about a month ago and enjoyed the film. Blending the concept of lawyers choosing their clients to the spiritual world was interesting. I always wondered how lawyers sleep at night knowing they are defending something evil. Btw, You have the most interesting perspective in TH-cam. I bought into the Kanye hype big time before finding this channel around 2019 and digging into recommendations.
Cool video. I ain't gonna lie man but listening to your breakdown of movies are interesting and makes me see things from a different perspective. Hope there's more to come. Not saying that I don't like your music videos but I don't think you're film videos get much love. Other than that nice video 😎

I checked out Nicki’s new album and I physically felt ill afterwards the shit was so wack, Lil Kim would beat her so bad in a versus it would be comical. Also I’m gonna check out that movie thanks for the recommendation, peace!
lol slowly and surely. I've seen Fury Road. It was ehhh. Metal for me is tricky because I need it to have a strong beat. Do you consider Rob Zombie Dragula and Godsmack I Stand Alone to be metal? I like those songs.
I like foundational metal groups like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, but only because they had a strong rhythm and blues influence (black music) also in the case of Zeppelin they weren't just a straight forward metal band, but I honestly can't stand later thrashy metal music cos the black influence was taken out which makes it too monotonous for the most part.
@@tochiRTA ah I liked mad max a lot. Just saw it the other day. Yes those count as metal to me for sure. Just got into bands like system of a down and korn in the summer. Grew up on Linkin Park at a really early age before hip hop so cool to explore different genres. My next door neighbour just showed me godsmack the other day
@@Tripled857 I like and appreciate them both especially now. Cool seeing the evolution. Those harder thrashier songs click with me a lot better now. Still don't like extreme metal. But I don't mind a slipknot song here and there.
@samihhaider9384 yeah now that you mention it I actually don't mind some groups like Linkin Park, there were even some Metallica songs I thought were okay, but like you said maybe the extreme metal was too much.
There’s a more deep underlying meaning for black people to feel the need to align themselves with consumerism because we’ve always been told we were bottom of the barrel of society so in a sense we do it to reclaim power and self esteem about ourselves. But all in all it still is bad because we’re doing nothing but giving back money to our oppressors just to look more important than our fellow people it’s sad tbh. When ye or rocky do it, it does get a little repetitive but I can see where they’re coming from they are pretty fly dudes.
I'm not a fashion dude but I give Rocky a pass because I really believe he's obsessed with fashion. It's genuine with him. I believe he's said that he would roam Manhattan looking for the flyest rarest sh*t, whether it was $1000 or $10. With Kanye, he came out with the White kid preppy look to show he was better than n*ggas.
Man I can't even vouch for Kanye's fashion like that Mans literally switches wardrobes like a pop artist and he sells consumerist ideas n vibes to kids If the definition of fashion is "the way style is expressed through clothes" his whole foundation is shot to me His fits/pieces give off the vibe that he's trying to do this out of spite Like switching from your preppy style to this streetwear apocalypse now vibe with the fake distressed shit and the garbage bag fit is so insincere to me, there's no sense of personal continuity with it other than trying to one-up people with attention seeking antics I don't even think he loves preppy fashion like that, I'd even argue that 3 Stacks had more heart with the Ivy League preppy boy look Mans ruined the modern fashion to me, NY fashion literally is an attention-seeking game now And I'd consider myself a fashion casual still lol **ring-ring** *Missy Elliot wants her dick back*
@@tochiRTA I wouldn't give Rocky a pass for it because his music and brand took a serious hit in popularity after his fashion endeavours. On top of that, I actually don't like Rocky's fashion either. I feel like he's forcing it all, to me he's almost like Drake in terms of fashion. He tries so hard to be a "fashion icon" when he really isn't one, half of his fits are garbage at very least and he's overfeminized himself. A bit similar to how Drake tries to force himself with breaking The Beatles and Michael Jackson's records when...you know, he's not got a fraction of Michael's talent. Feminization is somewhat acceptable imo only if it works for your brand. Rocky's brand does not work with feminine fashion because of the musical content on Live Love ASAP. Rocky portrays himself as a promiscuous rapper that loves fucking bitches, and he has a very dark aesthetic overall which is amplified when you compile it with gold chains/teeth (Goldie?). So for Rocky to try and rebrand with something like "Fashion Killa" really destroys his inherent aesthetic. Yes, we already knew from Live Love ASAP that Rocky liked being "fly" but it was the WAY he was rapping about it. He was rapping about being fly in the underground and not giving a fuck that he's fly. The hoodie, funeral hat stuff was a brand. But Rocky completely tossed this in the can after 2012. By his debut album he began wearing funky clothes, feminizing himself, and trying to force a fashion agenda. He completely lost the plot of Live Love ASAP. Music became watered down, more safe. It never worked. For him to circle around industry plants like Drake, Rihanna, and goofy ass people like Tyler The Creator was also a sign of sellout behaviour. Search "ASAP Rocky 2014" in Google. He was already falling off when Yams was alive. Those fashion gigs he did already slashed the Live Love ASAP aesthetic. Proof is in the popularity of songs too. On the Praise the Lord and Fuckin Problems videos, Rocky shows no "insane" sense of fashion anywhere. On Praise the Lord he has a basic fit with a yellow coat and a police armor which is a little bit out of the ordinary but still looks somewhat natural at least the way he pulled it off. By the end of the video he just changed into a dark fit. Nothing funky. On Fuckin Problems he had a suit as one fit and then had borderline hood clothing in another set. Absolutely nothing about these vids portrays any sort of fashion agenda, and these are the songs fans like "most". Even on LSD, there's not really any fashion in it. He's tried to push fashion narratives in his other videos though, notably "LPFJ2", "Multiply", "Tony Tone", "Fukk Sleep", his recent videos (post-Testing) and none of them have performed well. The reality is people are not looking at Rocky for fashion advice. The people wanted dope music from him. This is especially apparent when fashion is primarily a female dominated industry.
@@what-rf5kj I definitely don't care about Rocky's fashion but I've never cared about fashion in general. Ironically, the coolest thing I ever saw Rocky wear was the LiveLoveASAP stuff. The Blackscale "Silence" hat and hard ass camo jacket. I don't remember anything else.
