I'm a Timex Nerd. 90% of my collection is Timex because I fell in love with my first Timex 45 years ago. Now I am digging the direction of the company with their reissues and can't stop my Timex addiction. Also my late mentor John Bogle wore a Timex. His net worth was 60 million, but wore a 20 year old Timex and drove a 16 year old Volvo. I don't have a net worth of 60 million, but have enough to buy a luxury watch, but I'm just not that kind of person. I also drive a 12 year old Nissan Versa which I love as much as some guys love their Mercedes. I'm just a weirdo.
I guess I'm a special event kind of watch collector. I like to buy watches to mark a special occasion or milestone. When I achieve a goal I buy a watch as a reward. That way whenever I check the time I'm reminded of a special occasion or achievement. It also motivation to achieve more goals.

Ooooh... i like that. Perhaps i should do a part 2 to this. there are a few great one's brought to attention like this one. Thanks!
that’s true, but i’m very creative tof ind a Milestone. i’m working 25 Years but already have that watch. then i thougt i work at least 16 hours a day. so i earned my 50 Working years reward. in compare to the most norma people. and bought my rolex daytona Osterflex ever rose gold ;-)
Sounds like what Russell Crowe said during an interview. During each movie filming, different countries, He buys a new watch to mark that time in his life, achievement,.. Thats Cool..
Fantastic content, just found your Channel and I’ve subbed !! I’m absolutely in love with “tool watches” especially dive watches. There’s something so romantic about having a watch that can go through everything with you in life be it good or bad. Some of the pieces I have remind me of such fond memories I strap them on if I’m having a bad day and it definitely helps. As you said that one watch guy, oh how I admire that man.
I'm a "one watch guy" My James Cameron 126660 goes everywhere with me, and it always will. I love watches and love gaining knowledge about all brands both new and vintage but I can't imagine not seeing my deep-sea on my wrist. Hard to explain but I have peace in my tiny collection.
You forgot about my kind. "Low end and keep it to ten" I don't buy anything too expensive and keep my collecting to ten or less. I am even thinking about keeping my collection to 6 -7. Got to have a diver automatic(right now an Invicta), tachy automatic (right now a Tissot), light dial dress watch (always a Rado ceramic and will probably always have to be a quarts due to cost), black dial dress watch (also always a Rado ceramic, different style than the light dial), Seiko automatic (traditional no complications, or maybe a date and not a metal bracelet), a work beater (right now a $35 SO &CO with leather strap), and a rubber, or silicone, band for working on the car, cleaning, exercising, etc, watch (like a Timex Ironman, or could just wear my work watch like I do now). It is hard to get around to wearing just that many enough. So I am thinking of selling a couple. Great job. I had never put too much thought into the different types of collectors. Not many people I know even wear a watch anymore and if they do they are not watch enthusiasts in anyway. I think another type of collector could be called the Mod Guys, or Tinkerers and end up with collections (both assembled and in parts haha). I like tinkering a bit, but not big into it yet. Thanks for the video and cheers.
Good video . Definitely identified myself . I have learned that once I buy a watch box that hold a certain amount of watches , my brain won't rest until it's filled . I started my collection with the intention to own once piece from every top tier brand , but the problem is that you start falling in love with certain brands and things go sideways. Cheers
I used to be the "one watch guy" when i had my Rolex Explorer 1016. Got rid of a handful of Casio digitals when i purchased the Rolex. Then about 10 years after I picked up a Mid-size Omega M300 (black dial, NOT the Brosnan Bond model) in the Caribbean on a cruise. Haven't looked back since. Good vid. Keep at it.
I've just found your channel and am really enjoying watching your videos. This one was a bit different and I enjoyed your take on different collectors. Keep up the great work mate 👍
The “single brand guy” - guys who only collect one brand, uber loyal. I’m not this guy, but I see it a lot online in forums. Good stuff, keep it coming!
In a way, I think we go through multiple stages of watch collecting. Through my 13 years of collecting, I've fallen into the flipper category and now I'm probably more in the watch box or watch nerd category. While I love my Rolex 114060, my 116000, or my Tudor BB36, I also get a lot of joy wearing my $350 Dan Henry 1964 chronograph and I bought a Casio F-91W just a couple weeks ago. I also buy watches now to mark special occasions and I'm no longer interested in flipping - if I'm buying it, I'm keeping it. Once I start gifting my watches to my kids down the road, ultimately my goal is to become a 2 or 3 watch guy, maybe even a 1 watch guy. So ultimately, we work our way through the various categories of collectors over time.
Yeah agreed 👍🏻 tried to be a 3 watch guy but I’m a watch box Collector. Trying to keep it under 10 as that’s how many spaces in my box.. including a Patek, an AP a few Rolex and some other personally interesting pieces. Each day I wear what takes my fancy. Love it
Not to me. I mean if that's their thing I don't hold it against them go in good health, but why limit yourself to one it's almost sad? I am the one watch-box guy. I have ten slots and I'll keep it at ten. There's a lot of beauty and pleasure in such a collection. And variety. There are quartz and autos and manuals with many beautiful dials. Most are under $1500 one is about $5000 some are under $500. I have plenty of peace of mind. Two slots remain empty and I'll fill them whenever something special comes around. This seems healthy to me.
Great video, I’m not even sure where to start🤔 I’m a bit older than you and my holy trinity was always Rolex, Omega & Breitling but I could jump from the nerd crowd though I’m not after 10 dollar watches I do love some of my USSR & Russian Vostok Amphibia divers that are pretty much under a 100 bucks and at times the strap or bracelet cost more than the watch. Would really think I’m a dive watch fan and mechanical at that though in 1983 my boss at the time and business partner the last 30 years sold me a 1978 1675 GMT Master for 300.00 dollars and I wore it through the mid 80’s then gave it to my younger brother for free because I didn’t like the acrylic crystal and small crown😳 the main reason everyone wants them now and the biggest watch mistake I’ve made to date. Went through several submariners into the 90’s and still have a 16610 W serial from 1995 and a 16613 that I bought brand new from an AD in Carmel Ca on Jan 30 1999 and was a U serial transitional “SWISS” dial which was the first time Rolex used Luminova, Blue dial😉. Sorry this is going to be a book, then needed a blue dial Omega Seamaster Pro Bond from 2000; Breitling Super Ocean from 2002 and I’ve always felt it was better made than the Sub and Seamaster, might not of had rolexes movement but 1500meters and a better bracelet than both. Keep in mind I still have all these then picked up a Titanium Breitling chrono avenger, Breitling avenger sea wolf, Panerai submersible 00024, Longines legend diver, Kobold Seal, amazing Germany brand UTS 1000m anniversary diver, #0008 Stowa prodiver seatime, Fortis B-42 marine master a few homage pieces that I enjoy and aren’t made by the original brand anymore,Tudor & several vintage Seiko divers, in quartz I own the Bulova Lunar Pilot and original vintage Seiko Alien Ripley or the Giorgetto Giugiaro designed watch. Back to mechanical a vintage Seiko UFO, some newer Seiko divers and on and on and many more. I post on IG under twalk80 and it’s all the watches I have today, I just love watches and get joy from most pieces and as a collector the one watch that is a must, the Omega Speedmaster Pro Moon watch is one I don’t have🥺bought a used one years ago from what was called a amazon storefront and when it arrived it was a fake, the price was too good and I should have known better but amazon held on to my money and got it back and it put a bad taste in my mouth and never picked one up even though I know it’s a must for any collection. Well sorry again but I could go on forever about stuff I let go and sure I’ve got a bunch of odd stuff I didn’t mention so maybe a higher class nerd or maybe they don’t have a name for me🤔yes I do have a few g-shocks too, sorry again for goin on and on! Also about 50 straps for the Panerai, shitload for the legend diver and in total maybe 100 straps & aftermarket bracelets and ton of natos!
Very interesting video,I’m 68 and I’m crazy about watches, why? Always have been, but I flip all the time, usually break even ,give away to close friends,I manage to keep them down to 20or so, but there are some I cannot part with old sea dweller, explorer,tc 9bronze , etc.... I always buy used, so I need to watch this video again to work out where I’m at!! Horology is fascinating and it’s a great hobby, what helps is when the wife is slightly interested!
An absolutely wonderful and enjoyable video! Your generalizations are pretty spot on. As a watch nerd, I suspect you may be more of a watch nerd than you think. Hahaha You definitely know a lot about us.
@@mrp9498 I have the SBGA231 titanium diver and it's very comfortable on wrist. The bracelet is flexible and smooth. I also have the SBGN005 GMT for dress because it's 12mm thick and 39mm case size. The two made a solid rotation.
Nice to see the Seiko three piece collection mixed in with all of those super heavy weights! The show-off guy : “for now he has the money....” Well put!😆
Became a one watch guy recently. Picked up an Omega Seamaster (2014) in a ‘Black Friday’ sale on ‘Watch Finder’ for an absolute steal. Being lusting for a Seamaster since watching Casino Royale! Feeling fulfilled and love the piece....however, that speedmaster would look great on my wrist at some point haha
I am a "three watch guy". I have just 4 and I'm really happy with all of them and is more than enough for me. Another great video and many thanks for sharing.
While I definitely fall into your "one watch box" type, I consider myself a category you didnt mention: the strap collector. I've got a dedicated 6 watch box, mostly modest Seikos, in my one box. However, I have dozens of Natos and quick change leathers and silicones for hundreds of possible combinations. I switch out my straps weekly and it feels like I've always got a new watch.
Since watching this video. I have embraced my Watch Nerd. In the last 17 days I have enjoyed 17 different watches in my collection. My ultimate goal is to one day be a 1 watch person but until then I am going to enjoy my nerd status. Thank you for this video it helped me realize I am not crazy. 😁
Great analyses and spot on in many ways! I'm in the 3 watch camp with one being the classic G-shock! I've battled the urge to buy more as I know they'll either not get worn as much or would get sold eventually
Spot-on on the descriptions of these different types of collectors especially the one-box guy. But I have yet to meet a one-watch type of collector and I agree that it will be an interesting person. More power to the channel.
I say it again, you really pick great topics for your videos! It’s superfun and interesting to watch them. You bring lots of insight to the worlds watchcommunity!! Thanks for sharing!🙏🏻💪🏻
How about the “mood watch” guy. Sometimes we want to wear what we feel, depending on our means to acquire such, and it doesn’t always have to be expensive or dependent on social conventions.
My collection is the “one of each” i.e. one field, dive, aviation, dress, casual, quartz, chronograph, as well a a beater. Although I do have a couple overlaps due to sentimental reasons, I try to keep my entire collection in one WatchBox....and the collection does shift over time but those few select pieces stay a permanent fixture in my collection.
I’ve gone from 10 to 7 watches the past year... it was difficult to part with them, but it feels a bit liberating having less watches. I’ll probably sell two more soon... looks like I’m slowly evolving into a 3-watch man
Seen a lot of watch reviews over the years, you are definitely my favourite. Great knowledge and nice to know I'm not alone with the obsession that drives my wife mad ! 15 watches so far and always scouring for the next.We need help......😊
You're right - you're generalizing and stereotyping, but I think we all can recognize ourselves, each other and our thoughts about this passion with these categories. Very engaging, thanks very much!
Very good insight into different types of collectors. One other collector maybe strictly the investor; the one who would speculate the value of the watch in the future and sell at a higher price point, just like someone who buys and sells valuable works of art and sells them at an auction. Makes his living doing this.
Love the thought that went into this video. Very perceptive and insightful. I think I personally fall under the “One watch box” category as well. Hoping to get a bigger box from Santa this Christmas though. Hehe. Cheers and stay safe.
Excellent video , I enjoyed it. 👍🏻 Can you do 3 watch collection series budget videos and what u recommend spending 10k, 5k, 2k, 1k, 500 bucks for average person .
A bit late to the party here, but really liked this vid! I'm a 4 watch guy [for now]. have four more in mind that will complete my collection so long-term 8 [max with no flipping]! I guess I'd categorise myself as a 'The Content Collector'. Daily beaters are a Seiko 5 [Japan made] on an olive NATO strap and a Citizen Eco Drive Calibre 3000 on a rally style leather strap. Weekender for Saturday pints in Kehoes or Mulligans is my Breitling Superocean 44 on black rubber strap with deployment clasp [f**king bomb proof], then for dress, evening, feeling Top Gun-esque 😂 I have my IWC Pilot's Chronograph with Top Gun edition strap. The four more I would like and that's me are - Tudor Black Bay GMT, Rolex Submariner 5513 no-date, a vintage [1999] JLC Reverso Grande Taille. Specifically that year for the JLC as it was worn by Pierce Brosnan in the Thomas Crowm Affair which is a favourite movie of mine that came out in 1999 and I just remember thinking, I wanna get there one day. And IMHO better than the original with Steve McQueen [sorry Steve!]. Finally and because I am a devout petrolhead as well as a watch lover, a Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 as worn by the boss in Le Mans. Love the channel BTW! Have interacted on previous vids Keep her lit! fist 🤙🏻
Good vid man and yes I fall into the 3 watch collection guy. Did make me laugh as I agree with the different groups too. Did have a larger collection but eventually didn’t see the point and think deep down I want to probably become the 1 watch guy as my Rolex Sub does everything I need 👌🏼 keep up the good work bud 👏🏼
Phil Nelson yep, I never wanted to love the Subbie, but if I had to have just one watch, then it’d be a Rolex Submariner.......or bizarrely a Damasko DC66.
Your watch book collection is cool😎. I was a one watch ‘girl’. I wore my speedy everyday for 4 years, it was a present from my parents. But it’s getting really beat up so I finally purchased a second watch - blue black bay 58. Hopefully I can take better care of it 😊
Guess I've been all these guys at one time or another over the years - except for the 100 watch, money no object guy. One collector you didn't mention is the guy or gal that specializes in one watch brand or type. For example at various times I've owned as many as half a dozen vintage Tudor Subs, and I also got seriously into Nivada Chronomasters, and ended up with quite a few of em. Still struggling to keep the overall collection below 50. Thanks for all the great videos - my new favourite channel.
Interesting! I guess I fall into the "One watch box" category: 10 and counting ... (Oris, JLC, IWC, Chronoswiss, Fortis, Nomos, Sinn, Zelos, Yema, Direnzo). I am trying to have as much variety as possible in my small collection, in terms of country of origin, brand, style, functions, etc. Next on my wish list are Christopher Ward, Glashütte Original and Omega. As I want to focus on quality rather than quantity and not go much beyond 10 (or maybe a dozen) watches, rather than being a "Flipper" I have begun to give some of them away to my loved ones (Oris - son, Nomos - wife, IWC - father). Cheers!
I am exactly what you described as the 3 watch guy. My end goal is a 5 watch collection which i set my mind to 3 years ago after collecting watches for about a decade. If acchieved i will become the watchbox guy i guess. Still saving money for my 4th watch and litteraly nothing that has been released over the last years has made me change my mind. I am grateful that I am over the point of being impulsive, the endless searchs, decisions, doubts and so on. Every watch I add to my existing collection must offer a unique perspective and dimension while still being practical. Currently that is the remaining challenge and fun in collecting watches for me. I do wonder if i ever hit the 5th watch as the price also increases exponentially now, not sure if i can ever justify paying that amount of money on a watch. But that is also part of challenge and fun.
As a newbie I am buying low cost, attractive and great value watches in different categories to experiment with the styles, what do I really like? When will I wear it? This may lead later to a more expensive purchase. You are correct, just wearing an attractive watch makes you feel better. It does not have to be a Rolex or Patek.
Fun video! I’d put myself in between One Watchbox and Three Watch Guy. I’m in the earlyish days of collecting, but I have a specific plan for my core collection. I envision the number being four to five pieces. The Explorer and the Sub I’ve been fortunate enough to acquire already. Next will likely be a dressy watch, perhaps Grand Seiko or IWC. Then most likely will come the Datejust. Beyond that I’m not sure, but a man’s gotta own a Speedy right?
Great analysis and reasoning, I know I’m a little behind on your videos but working through them all...newly subscribed! Called out some excellent points, recently become a 3 (4 in all honesty) watch guy...aspiring to be a 1 watch guy within a few years. Recently picked up my 126660 from my AD and think it could happen sooner rather than later.
Hands down the coolest fucking intro to any watch video! This is why we wear mechanical time peices. It's the nostalgia, craftsmanship, and beauty of design. Much like our glorious past.
I’m a little all over the place. I started out trying to find a decent watch below $500. Ended up with sarb033, sarb017, SKX009 and Khaki King. Then went on to buy an Oris, Tudor and Omega. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get down to a 2 or 3 watch collection and some how I don’t see it getting below 5.
What about the sentimental watch guy? He buys a watch to mark a special moment. Hopefully all of us have been fortunate to be that guy at least once with many more watches to come!
I was a sentimental watch guy until the woman that gave the watch to me cheated on me and gave the watch bad juju. It was a Seiko automatic, and it stopped dead on the day we broke up. It lasted exactly as long as the relationship, to the day.
Oisin as far as watch collecting goes we are brothers!! ❤. I could never be a one watch guy but most definitely could be a one brand guy and it would be TUDOR for me. 😊
Fantastic content as always. Great start. Well done mate! Hello from Scotland (p.s. I've not figured out which type of collector I am. One watch - A Speedy - and can't afford anything else at the moment!)
5 ปีที่แล้ว
In the moments i've considered becoming a one watch guy, that's the watch i thought of.
@ Good stuff man! I'm considering a Tudor Black Bay 36mm or 1926 with black dial as a next more affordable option! Want the simplicity of a Rolex Datejust / Explorer but at a budget. Hope you're loving Italy. We were in Venice last year. Fantastic place
Admittedly I’ve gone through many luxury watches to get to my current state, but for the past 2 years, I’ve been the 1 watch guy. It’s an unpolished Rolex Submariner 16610, and I love it! And to your point, it’s become so much a part of my life, that my wife definitely associates it with me 🤔
This is a great video. Very well thought out and described and yes I do fall into one of these. Not sure if I can be the one watch guy, but would love to be the 3 watch collection guy. I think that’d the perfect balance but takes so much zen like discipline to get there.
A very interesting and fun to watch video 👍. Nice analysis, and I have to admit I am the most similar to the "watch nerd" thus the name of my channel "watch geek" 😁😁
My smelly chain smoking uncle used to visit us annually from Georgia and would bring 20-30 watches and clocks and set them up in the spare room he stayed in. The entire week was fully of buzzing, chiming and ringing all in unison. He was also a very wealthy stock investor. Well, I inherited the watch appreciation gene.
Im the one box guy but it was a Seiko/microbrand diver box and just through losing some income I've had to go down to Casio/Timex range but there's still joy to be had in any range.
Nice classification of collector types. I am definitely a “One watch box guy”. Actually scarily fits me to a tee. Well done my Timeless Watch friend!😃👍🏽
I’m a one watch box guy but it’s not full yet. Plus some are on the winder so the box is usually half full. I don’t think I’ll ever fill the box completely. I find myself not wearing many of them. Time will tell I’m sure. Great video, thanks!👍🏼
Hey thanks for the interesting video! I’m definitely the 12 watch guy with a core of about 8. While some come and go. Oh and I was wondering where you got that Omega art piece that’s behind you in the video. I love it and I recently bought the Moon watch!!!
I think you missed one. The iconic collector. Although you named some traits in each of the category. But I understand that this was a "broad generalization." So the iconic collector only collects 1 or 2... from each brand. This depends on how many iconic watches come from the same brand. Example is a Cartier-Tank, Santos and Crash... I am one of those collectors. I have over 80 watches. Everything from AP to Zelos....🤣 A very good video. Too bad I did not catch this when it was first released. Way to go Oisín!
For me the one watch box is perfect. I have a few sentimental watches that I can never part with and then some more recent higher end editions that I don’t want to wear to work. Perfect balance for my life :)
Im a HANDS ON collector. Since i cant wear all of them i gave them to all my close friends and family members and enjoyed watching them wear it everyday its like giving a part of me to them. I also have a secret collection that my 3 sons will have on the future. I wear 3 hand steel Seiko Diver as daily beater, 2 hand multi-digital rubber G-Shock for sports activity, and 5 hand leather IWC for special occasion + a 4 hand gold Rolex retirement gift from my wife.
I'm a Timex Nerd. 90% of my collection is Timex because I fell in love with my first Timex 45 years ago. I understand. I mean, you're fuckin' weird and I don't want to be like you, but I understand.

Agree

3's the magic number!! The one watch owner is the person who has found peace of mind.
Jeremy Pitotti clearly I have a long way to go to peace of mind. Lol. I am envious of them too
Especially if that one watch is a Timex!
Jeremy Pitotti one watch guy?!? I envy you so.... what I would give to be satisfied with one watch! LoL 👍🏼😎💨

Started watching you cause of Tim write, Marco and JJ streams! MASSIVE Rolex fan boy here!
Spot on and realized I've evolved through this addiction. 3 watch +1 "Visiting" is my current flow. Thanks, really enjoyed!
I hadn't really thought about collector types, but this was a great video, really interesting. This channel is such a breath of fresh air, keep it up.
An absolutely wonderful and enjoyable video! Your generalizations are pretty spot on. As a watch nerd, I suspect you may be more of a watch nerd than you think. Hahaha You definitely know a lot about us.
I’m a two watch guy. For 40 years it was a Rolex DAY-DATE and a GMT. Then about a year ago I switched to two Grand Seiko watches. A diver and a GMT.
GS look nice. I need to try one on some day. They look like comfortable watches.
@@mrp9498 I have the SBGA231 titanium diver and it's very comfortable on wrist. The bracelet is flexible and smooth. I also have the SBGN005 GMT for dress because it's 12mm thick and 39mm case size. The two made a solid rotation.
CraigShipp.com Nice👍🏼
My man!
Nice to see the Seiko three piece collection mixed in with all of those super heavy weights!
The show-off guy : “for now he has the money....” Well put!😆
Great content! I have learned new things about the collectors watches. More of this. Thank you!
A very comprehensive and in my view quite accurate (and witty) summation of the different type of watch collectors out there.
I am a "three watch guy". I have just 4 and I'm really happy with all of them and is more than enough for me. Another great video and many thanks for sharing.
A fun topic and I feel you were spot on with most of your observations. Thanks!
The more I watch the more I like your videos. I don't know where to put myself really!!!!
I’m a “2 Box guy”.Same collection, just larger. Great content as always Mr. O’M. Now at 5.3 and continuing to head up....
Another fantastic video !! I can not get enough of this content! I love this channel and the way this man does it. THX BRO
I have a few of various types sizes makes and models. My taste changes over time. Great show keep up the good work.
I absolutely love the class, grace, insight and realism you bring to the hobby. Keep up the great work!
Seiko dive watch guy cause I'm poor n i want 1 for each day of the week. Turtle. Monster. Sumo. Samurai. SKX. Baby tuna. I'm off Sunday's.
I aspire to be the "Seiko dive watch guy", oh yes please need to get "on the graft"(lots and lots of overtime).
😂😂😂 great comment 👍👍👍
Great analyses and spot on in many ways! I'm in the 3 watch camp with one being the classic G-shock! I've battled the urge to buy more as I know they'll either not get worn as much or would get sold eventually
Spot-on on the descriptions of these different types of collectors especially the one-box guy. But I have yet to meet a one-watch type of collector and I agree that it will be an interesting person. More power to the channel.
Favorite channel so far. Would love a video on buying vintage watches.
I say it again, you really pick great topics for your videos! It’s superfun and interesting to watch them. You bring lots of insight to the worlds watchcommunity!! Thanks for sharing!🙏🏻💪🏻
I forgot to ask, which Guy are you..?🙈
the 'mod' guy...sekio collector usually
100% or now even Casio with the Metal add-on Cases now!!
How about the “mood watch” guy. Sometimes we want to wear what we feel, depending on our means to acquire such, and it doesn’t always have to be expensive or dependent on social conventions.
What's your depression watch?
Never knew I'll see two Mini Turtles and a Samurai in your watch box sitting together with Omega and Rolex. Mad respect!
I love those Seikos!! 😎
Love that!
Fake omega seamaster
I’ve gone from 10 to 7 watches the past year... it was difficult to part with them, but it feels a bit liberating having less watches. I’ll probably sell two more soon... looks like I’m slowly evolving into a 3-watch man
Lucky you.
Well, you just explained my collection on the “one box collection”. Pretty much spot on.
Seen a lot of watch reviews over the years, you are definitely my favourite. Great knowledge and nice to know I'm not alone with the obsession that drives my wife mad ! 15 watches so far and always scouring for the next.We need help......😊
..yes... we do. 😂
You're right - you're generalizing and stereotyping, but I think we all can recognize ourselves, each other and our thoughts about this passion with these categories. Very engaging, thanks very much!
You nailed it. I'm a One Box guy. Good stuff, well done.
I’m a three watch guy. But soon to be four, and hopefully five. Lol Great vid as always. Cheers!
Love it.
Very good insight into different types of collectors. One other collector maybe strictly the investor; the one who would speculate the value of the watch in the future and sell at a higher price point, just like someone who buys and sells valuable works of art and sells them at an auction. Makes his living doing this.
I'm in the three watch category. Spot on video
This is my new favorite watch channel. Nice work.
Thanks JT!
Love the thought that went into this video. Very perceptive and insightful. I think I personally fall under the “One watch box” category as well. Hoping to get a bigger box from Santa this Christmas though. Hehe. Cheers and stay safe.
Excellent video , I enjoyed it. 👍🏻
Can you do 3 watch collection series budget videos and what u recommend spending 10k, 5k, 2k, 1k, 500 bucks for average person .
Another fun video - another one to add is the vintage watch collector. Whilst it’s not me, I appreciate the appeal.
Have interacted on previous vids Keep her lit! fist 🤙🏻
Loving the channel, feels very refined for a relatively new channel. Greetings from Kildare BTW.
Thanks!!
Cheers!
Very nice pieces!
Good vid. I really laughed about the Guy who comes to the Wedding in the rare hard to get Starwars Tee Shirt. 👍
I'm a 'one box' guy too. Luckily the box is not full yet. Then again, you can always get a bigger box...
Ya gotta have a speedy at some point!
Yes 5k Subs before New Year. Congrats 👍🏼👏🏻
Thanks, my friend. Cracked open a nice whiskey for moment! Honestly i'm shocked.
Haha I’m the 3 watch guy for sure. Felt great to do the exercise “what I can’t live without” .Simple and to the point.
Totally enjoyed your video , quite interesting !
Love the videos !!! Keep em coming !!!!!
I've been several of these people in the past! Right now I'm the Watch Box Guy, mostly settled on my final 15, but I also envy the 1 Watch Guy.
Being the watch nerd equals freedom. Being able to ignore and not be intimidated by judgement is a blessing while also a curse.
Nice one👍🏻. You missed the theme-collector; all divers, chronos, etc.
Hi, I think this is my favourite video on your channel. I aspire to be the 3 watch guy....Hope you are doing well in these trying times.
Oisin as far as watch collecting goes we are brothers!! ❤. I could never be a one watch guy but most definitely could be a one brand guy and it would be TUDOR for me. 😊
I stumbled across your channel, great content.
What a great insight and thanks for summing us all up! 😂
That was spot on
😂 really enjoy this vid
Thanks 🙏🏼
Fantastic content as always. Great start. Well done mate! Hello from Scotland (p.s. I've not figured out which type of collector I am. One watch - A Speedy - and can't afford anything else at the moment!)
You missed my kind of collector: the “DRY DIVER”. Bunch of dive watches but barely gets in the swimming pool. 🤪
I want to get to be the 3 watch guy . I am getting there .I just think watches are so beautiful . It's like guitars. I only have 2 now.
My new fav watch channel.
A very interesting and fun to watch video 👍.
Nice analysis, and I have to admit I am the most similar to the "watch nerd" thus the name of my channel "watch geek" 😁😁
Great analogy of watch folks. Thanks
Cheers Neph!!
I’m a one watch box guy but it’s not full yet. Plus some are on the winder so the box is usually half full. I don’t think I’ll ever fill the box completely. I find myself not wearing many of them. Time will tell I’m sure. Great video, thanks!👍🏼
Nice video Oisin, thank you Mate.
Great videos!! How about a video on micro-brands like Horage?
Loved this vid - very astute observations
Im a HANDS ON collector. Since i cant wear all of them i gave them to all my close friends and family members and enjoyed watching them wear it everyday its like giving a part of me to them. I also have a secret collection that my 3 sons will have on the future. I wear 3 hand steel Seiko Diver as daily beater, 2 hand multi-digital rubber G-Shock for sports activity, and 5 hand leather IWC for special occasion + a 4 hand gold Rolex retirement gift from my wife.
