Selezneva deserved the gold, Linoy had the highest difficulty (a 14.700 if I'm not wrong) but her execution was lower than Dina's and Ekaterina. Had Linoy performed cleaner then the gold medal would've been totally hers.
i'm not going to argue who deserved the gold until we get proper difficulty analysis, but linoy was as perfect as she could be if u watch the performance. all balances held, no extra steps to catch the hoop, with the music. it was the cleanest routine i've ever seen her perform.
If yal truly believe Russia paid the judges to win Gold, don't you think they could've just over scored Dina and let her win since that would've been much less suspicious?
I am a New Zealander so I am totally neutral in this. But I do believe the talk of Russia being overscored is over the top. No doubt Russia has had issues with cheating namely in boxing but I do think they produce the top Rhythmic gymnasts.

@@pinakAlena because it is quite unrealistic that a gymnasts can increase 2+ values on her routines's difficulty in just a couple of months. Why didn't she do it before? And why haven't she had these huge scores in previous competitions? I mean, if she can beat a good routine of Dina Averina, she should have had replaced Soldatova in the previous worlds too. Just to be clear, I'm not blaming or hating on Selezneva, I respect and admire every gymnast. Also, why do you have to write in a language you know we won't understand? If you can understand English, can't you reply in English? Just wondering...
2020 Olympics at tokyo Linoy crushed The Russian and won historic Olympic gold:) 2nd and not so important 4th place is not so bad for Russian, israel and belarus the best:)

Estoy de acuerdo, amo la gimnasia rítmica pero ya estoy harta de tanta injusticia. No puedo siquiera imaginar la frustración de las demás chicas, tanto trabajo, esfuerzo y sacrificio que no es recompensado. Rutinas preciosas opacadas por actos de circo en los que da igual la música que se use.

I'm not as knowledgeable in RG as I am in AG and I was rooting for Linoy (although I like the Averina twins especially Arina) but it seems her execution was not as good but her difficulty was through the roof while the Russians had some of the most precise work. Selezneva played it safe and it paid off for some reason and her score wasn't far from her QF. I was hoping Linoy would win gold though.

I would really love to hear from FIG what they think about some scores being raised by 20-30% all of sudden.
