hi jesse, i cut my hair a couple months ago, it was down to my mid back. i cut it out of frustration because i didn't know how to deal with it or what products to use, and i'm starting to really regret it. i think i'm gonna grow it out again and you've helped me come to that conclusion. i'm gonna need to go through the awkward stages again but it'll be worth it. last time it only took like 1.5 years to get super long, my hair luckily grows quite fast, and the hair on the top of my head is already down to my mouth anyway. (but the sides and back are short)
i miss not having to care as much, not having to take trips to the barbers every couple weeks, not having awkward pieces of short-ish hair sticking up at the back. my hair affects my mood so much, i have such a love hate relationship and an emotional attachment to it, it affects my mood drastically when i think too much about it and i go into depressive states.
i'm gonna go on the journey again, thanks for making me come to that conclusion. i'm gonna be wearing hats a lot i guess lol
i attached a photo of what my hair looked like about 7-8 months before i cut it, but i think it got auto deleted
growing my hair out 2 years now. Doesn't suit my face at all but I just did it for fun. Might grow it until long enough to donate

The crown of my hair is a lot mor dry and frizzy than the rest and a quick research points to the sun as a factor, but what would your suggestion for longer hair be if you don't want to wear a cap everytime you go out?
I would ask what you can do if it's already there, but I just found a video of yours about that exact topic!!!

hey jesse, hope ur doing good...whenever i try to grow out my hair (coarse), the side hair tend to get alot of split ends...and hair feel less like hair and more like straw...could i get some tips on what to do...i have trimmed my hair now but i rlly want to grow them out

also the only difference between triangle and heart shape is. Triangle have more angular jaws, which heart face has more soft jaw, like rounded.

Great video. I have a question tho. My hairline is slightly receded (norwood 2/2.5 maybe) but I still have really good thickness. Could this make my choice of hairstyle limited or can I still go with pretty much anything? Oval/oblong face btw. Most people wouldn't notice the fact that my hairline is receded unless they look for it but I feel like maybe some hairstyles could make it a bit more obvious.
I doubt it's that bad, you probably just have mature hairline/widows peak. A lot of men get that sort of hairline, doesn't need to be straight. I'm just assuming though.

I got a square face but I had short hair for most my life and it looked very blocky. So I tried growing it out and now it's very long to balance my face but everyone says it looks ugly. But idk what to do cuz I know if I go back to short hair imma look like Steve from minecraft.
I have a so-called heart-shaped face (not mentioned in the video) which, according to my hairdresser-barber, is not common in men and which is one of the few face shapes that, for example, Buzz cut and bald don't suit because they make the forehead look exaggeratedly big and the cheeks look puffy. Because of this, my barber-hairdresser recommends a hairstyle that covers my forehead and is shorter on the sides, but the funny problem is that I'm going bald due to balding so I have to settle for bald even though it doesn't suit me (my face), my style, my personality and My music taste at all. And these are things that I don't want to change about myself so that I would fit better with my baldness (I don't want to change even though some anonymous people on online forums recommend men to change themselves for bald if they are balding), like listening to different music or wearing different clothes. But luckily, hats still exist, although it is polite to take them off indoors.

Either save up money for a hair transplant before your hair is completely gone OR experiment with different beard styles (if you have a beard)

when you apply styling creams (e.g moroccon oil curl cream) do you apply it after a shower and then forget about it? do you have to wash it out at the end of the day? or if you apply it in the night can you sleep with it and forget about it? can you use it after every shower?
its the same question with styling products... do you apply it and forget about it, or does it need to be washed out that same day?

It's quite common that hair can become more wavy or curly when its longer. My waves are also more extreme the longer my hair gets. Im not an expert tho. I don't know if your hair type can change from your childhood too teenhood or adultness.

I have an oblong face but with kinda weak or rounded chin so short haircut even scissorcut sides look horrible, I grew my hair out with a fringe and I actually got alot of compliments, now focus is drawn to my eyes and cheekbones while covering my 5head and creating some balance, so all you long faced bastards try a fringe atleast once.

They can be easily confused and when you google them the same person is often described as having a different face shape depending on where you look. Diagrams on their own are just silly.
