    Thank you very much for making this video. I have this MB and I appreciate a granular look at its bios for my own settings. I have copied most of yours. Subscribed and liked.

    I was having weird issues with mine. I ended up sending it back and getting an ASRock 870E taichi. Running super good now. Ram is working correctly, and the chip is overclocking fine now.

    Correction: The IO pins for the front panel are labeled on each connector. You need to slide the IO pin housing along the cable for the labels to show on each of the pin connectors.

      @@KleoYan I'm talking about the MSI cable in the Video starting at 5:20 min. Contrary to your comment, all pins are labeled on that connector 🙂

    Hi Kleo, great review of MSI x870E Carbon WIFi. My question---- you mentioned there is only one CPU fan header. What if I have a CPU aircooler with two fans? I puchaaed Scythe Mugen 6 Dual black edition. Can I swap out the two fans for the Mugen6 with ARGB fans? I puchased Scythe Wonder Tornado ARGB fans same size as the Scythe Wonder Tornado non RGB fans used on the Scythe Mugen6 DBE.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi David Reyes, welcome to my channel. Btw, this is X870E Carbon and not X870 Tomahawk. For most Air Cooler, the dual fans on them are daisy chained, therefore you only need a CPU Fan header. as for the swapp of fans, if they are of standarded 120mm fans and with the same height as in 25mm, it should not be an issue to swap. Unless the Air Cooler you've mentioned uses different size and height of fans of each other. Do pardon me as I can't give you an actual answer as I do not own any Air Coolers which you've mentioned.

    Did you come across any ram compatibility issues with this board? I bought the MSI 870 Tomahawk and it has endless ram issues as evidenced with the massive threads on the MSI forums. I started a return on the MSI 870 Tomahawk and ordered one of these as I don't see any complaints about them. Don't suppose you tried any corsair ram in it?

    • @KleoYan

      @@PLAYER2035 hi and welcome to my channel. I have both this and the tomahawk. Had no issues placing dual ram kit which runs at cl28 or cl30 with bus speed of 6000. Most of my rams are of 32G kit though

I don't get to find those key points you've pointed out from other reviewers. Thank you Kleo and I truely enjoyed your honest opinion. Another excellent review. 👍

    I want to buy this motherboard and the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360. Does the Arctic fit in the top of the Montech King 95 Pro with the MSI board?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi User, welcome to my channel. It will fit as the side VRM is not that tall. it's at 35mm and the rear I/O VRM heatsink is at 43mm, there are sufficient space for the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360. Just make sure you plug your 8pin EPS cable to the motherboard first before mounting the LF3 360.

    x870 proart or x870 carbon which1 is best in your side Kleo? thanks for video

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi Banana Beach, welcome to my channel. Both boards as tested, they both does their job but I would pic the ProArt over this as it has a function where by you plug your discrete GPU DP port to the DP in of the motherboard, which allows to project via the type-c dp port. If you are to use m.2 Gen 5, ProArt will have an advantage, whereby you can use top PCI-E slot with the m.2 Gen 5 plug to Slot 1 and 2 without compromises. as for the rest like USB 4.0 and such.. both are as good.

      @KleoYan hi Kleo ..just finished watching ..and have question ..at begining of video you said that in included USB stick is very important bcz it have drivers for WFI ...does that mean they arent on official MSI page for download? ..im asking bcz my routine of OS instalation is always to download all latest Drivers manuely on separate USB stick .
      1:instaling OS without internet connection
      2:instaling all drivers
      3: after that i connect on internet and i do windpws update ..
      ( im i doing it wrong ? )

      @ during the installation of windows where it will ask to fill in your pc name or to login or such. There won’t be a generic wifi or ethernet driver. So the thumb drive have those. This is when you don’t have a spare laptop or pc to download and to put it to a usb thumb drive.
      Of course after your have pass the stage when it boot to windows, the updated drivers will be updated to the latest version. As there will be a prompt from MSI to request you to click ok. Then every drivers (chipset , ethernet, usb host , controllers and such) will be automatically download and install.

      HI CaptainMaf01, welcome to my channel. After having a closer look. the m570 pro forzr m.2 thick heatsink is having a full casting. I would advise you to remove of the 1st m.2 slot bottom piece of metal and the thermal pad. you can try it yourself, just be mindful do not force. It should sit in nicely and gently.

    MSI has issue with M.2_1 slot near cpu ? i was have that board and heatsink doesn't touch M.2 its Rev.2 ? board moderators and msi HQ know this so.. can you replay with feedback it cools or it has gap ?

    • @flaccus123
      @flaccus123 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I've had the board since 2 weeks after launch and no issues with coolling on my M.2_1. Now I didn't check if the heatsink was touching, however my T705 (which is for OS and Apps) idles in the 30's on fresh boot and under normal usage stays in low 40's. I only once saw it hit 70 during Crystal benchmark. So I guess not every board has the heatsink issue.
