    I was having weird issues with mine. I ended up sending it back and getting an ASRock 870E taichi. Running super good now. Ram is working correctly, and the chip is overclocking fine now.

      @KleoYan hi Kleo ..just finished watching ..and have question ..at begining of video you said that in included USB stick is very important bcz it have drivers for WFI ...does that mean they arent on official MSI page for download? ..im asking bcz my routine of OS instalation is always to download all latest Drivers manuely on separate USB stick .
      1:instaling OS without internet connection
      2:instaling all drivers
      3: after that i connect on internet and i do windpws update ..
      ( im i doing it wrong ? )

      @ during the installation of windows where it will ask to fill in your pc name or to login or such. There won’t be a generic wifi or ethernet driver. So the thumb drive have those. This is when you don’t have a spare laptop or pc to download and to put it to a usb thumb drive.
      Of course after your have pass the stage when it boot to windows, the updated drivers will be updated to the latest version. As there will be a prompt from MSI to request you to click ok. Then every drivers (chipset , ethernet, usb host , controllers and such) will be automatically download and install.

    Hi Kleo, great review of MSI x870E Carbon WIFi. My question---- you mentioned there is only one CPU fan header. What if I have a CPU aircooler with two fans? I puchaaed Scythe Mugen 6 Dual black edition. Can I swap out the two fans for the Mugen6 with ARGB fans? I puchased Scythe Wonder Tornado ARGB fans same size as the Scythe Wonder Tornado non RGB fans used on the Scythe Mugen6 DBE.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi David Reyes, welcome to my channel. Btw, this is X870E Carbon and not X870 Tomahawk. For most Air Cooler, the dual fans on them are daisy chained, therefore you only need a CPU Fan header. as for the swapp of fans, if they are of standarded 120mm fans and with the same height as in 25mm, it should not be an issue to swap. Unless the Air Cooler you've mentioned uses different size and height of fans of each other. Do pardon me as I can't give you an actual answer as I do not own any Air Coolers which you've mentioned.

      @KleoYan do you think this board will be good for 9800x3d and RTX 5090? I am not sure if I can get full 16x PCIe and and if the motherboard bios is ready or do I need to flashback

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @VexOoo-x7y this board is carter for 9000 series processor and also for future 5000 series GPU. if you want x16, just don't plug any m.2 to the 2nd slot and any PCIE devices on the 2nd PCIE slot. that will be full x16 speed. last but not least, it will be best to flash to the latest bios which has the AGESA 12.0.0.2.b

    Did you come across any ram compatibility issues with this board? I bought the MSI 870 Tomahawk and it has endless ram issues as evidenced with the massive threads on the MSI forums. I started a return on the MSI 870 Tomahawk and ordered one of these as I don't see any complaints about them. Don't suppose you tried any corsair ram in it?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi User, welcome to my channel. It will fit as the side VRM is not that tall. it's at 35mm and the rear I/O VRM heatsink is at 43mm, there are sufficient space for the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360. Just make sure you plug your 8pin EPS cable to the motherboard first before mounting the LF3 360.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI CaptainMaf01, welcome to my channel. After having a closer look. the m570 pro forzr m.2 thick heatsink is having a full casting. I would advise you to remove of the 1st m.2 slot bottom piece of metal and the thermal pad. you can try it yourself, just be mindful do not force. It should sit in nicely and gently.

  • @flaccus123
    @flaccus123 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    The rubber pads on the base of M2 slots actually serve no function. They are just place holders. When you remove the plastic sticker from the base to expose the thermal pad, the rubber blocks come away as they are attached to the sticker. This is unlike the Asus rubber pads which you add to raise single sided m2 drives up so they contact the bottom of the heatsink

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Keith Flanagan, welcome to my channel. I wouldn't say it's of no function. If your m.2 is of single sided chip, only removing the top thermal pad, that will help to support the back and to life up the m.2 to touch the top thermal pad. For double sided chip, it is logical that when you remove both the thermal pad, the rubber pad will be removed too, as both thermal pad will tounch on both side of the m.2.

    • @flaccus123
      @flaccus123 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@KleoYan That's a very good point. I only have double sided M2's so didn't think about that. Maybe that is why on the MSI forums people are complaining that single sided M2's are not making contact with the heatsink. Perhaps they are removing the plastic from the base of the thermal pad and in doing so removing the rubber block.

    • @KleoYan

      @ in every aspect on how a mechanism works or design, there is always a reason. Infact I did mention about it in this content.

    • @flaccus123
      @flaccus123 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@KleoYan MSI never mentioned it in the manual. They probably should have said to leave the bottom plastic and rubber pad in place when using a single sided M2.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@flaccus123 I also can't deny the fact that it should be written. Sorry, don't mean to be rude but to me that's logical as why it's design this way. Alot will be a major problem as m.2 is not touching the top thermal pad if they remove the bottom pads. for me I understand how it works.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Banana Beach, welcome to my channel. Both boards as tested, they both does their job but I would pic the ProArt over this as it has a function where by you plug your discrete GPU DP port to the DP in of the motherboard, which allows to project via the type-c dp port. If you are to use m.2 Gen 5, ProArt will have an advantage, whereby you can use top PCI-E slot with the m.2 Gen 5 plug to Slot 1 and 2 without compromises. as for the rest like USB 4.0 and such.. both are as good.

      I've had the board since 2 weeks after launch and no issues with coolling on my M.2_1.
