Well done, Sweetheart! 😍 I’m happy with all those seeds that germinated. Excited to see them grow. If you don’t mind answering some of my questions please. 🥰 1. How are you liking this new potting mix you’ve used for the seed sowing? 2. Did you find the Haworthia seeds’ outer shell harder than cacti seeds’? Would it help if you soaked them first before sowing them? They’ve germinated longer than cacti seeds. 3. Do you spray fungicide after they’ve germinated? Enjoyed watching with you, as always. Thanks for sharing with us. ❤️🤗🥰😘🌵💚
Thank you so much, my love 🥰 Happy with what’s germinated so far, just hope a few more Haworthia come up. I’m liking this seed sowing mix so far, definitely won’t be using the coco coir again, as you know that didn’t work out great. Yeah the Haworthia seeds have a harder outer shell on them, soaking them before sowing would definitely be beneficial, I will do that for next time 😊 I won’t spray fungicide on them just yet, I’ll probably wait until they’re at least 6 months old first or if any fungus issues start developing before then I’ll give them a bit of a spray. Enjoyed watching with you as always my love ❤️ Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement ❤️🥰🤗😘❤️
Second! 😃 I watched your ad first. 😉... Great job getting seeds from your Haworthia. I remember when you made a video on how to pollinate them and it wasn’t easy. You got very good germination rate. I should try that vermiculite on top trick. Some seedlings grow sideways cause they could not cling on to the perlite that I use. 😆 👍🏼
Thank you so much, Ana. Yeah it's good to give the little seedlings something to anchor onto when they germinate. Hopefully more of the Haworthia seeds germinate, it's not been a great germination rate on those far, and a few pots have nothing in them yet. Thank you fo watching and commenting as always, Ana. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Cheers mate. So far nothing has germinated in that pot yet, the plant only produced one seed pod that only had about 4 seeds in lol. Cheers for watching and commenting mate 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Thank you so much, Seb 😊 Yeah always rewarding growing these plants from seed. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Thats so FANTASTIC that many of the seeds you have sown have already germinated, they all look so cute :-D and it will be so wonderful to see how they continue to grow for you over the following weeks and I LOVE the propagators, keep us updated on how you get on with the new seed soil mix, WONDERFUL video Daz and thanks so much for sharing your amazing seed sowing and the germination with us, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a wonderful evening ahead XXXX
Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 Very happy with what’s germinated so far, just hope over the next week or two more will germinate. Yeah that propagator is a handy thing to have, I’ll probably get another one haha. Will definitely do regular updates on how these are all getting on 😊 Thank you so much for watching and commenting as always, Lyn. Have a wonderful evening from Edith & myself to you and Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌸🌺🏜
Oh, woooow, your own Haworthia hybrids😍! I'm so happy for you to achieve this goal 👌💯✨. It's very interesting to see how the seeds have germinated. The mix you used here is closer to the mix I do now. I always use the vermiculite not only mixed and on top, but I use it single to make the leaves of Echeveria grow roots. I like it as well as pumice. I used perlite at the beginning but now I hate it because it goes everywhere with the wind or rain. Very nice video, I enjoyed it a lot! Have a great day friend and a big hug to Edith🤗💕.
Thank you so much again, Vanesa 😊 Yeah I’m looking forward to seeing what these Haworthia will look like once they mature. Not as many germinated as I was expecting, though. A couple of pots haven’t got anything germinated in them unfortunately, but I have some seeds left so will try again. Yeah I like this mix for seedlings. I’d never use perlite, I can’t stand that stuff either lol. Thank you for watching and commenting, Vanesa. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Thank you so much, Magda 😊 Yeah I just had to add that bloom at the end, been blooming for three days now. Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜

Fantastic to see some of the seeds I sent you already germinating! Wow, lovely to see them growing, so happy the M. senilis albiflora, and some L. texana too, have started growing! And without checking my list (🤣) I think I spotted some seedlings from Sweden too ☺ Look forward to more updates on growth and when others have germinated too! Great to see Lyn's seeds are doing well too! Really loved the video, especially the part where you showcase each pot of seedlings 👌 I hope more Haworthia sprout too as you dedicated much time to all those pollinations 😊👍🌵🌞🌵🌞
Thank you so much, Claire 😊 Yeah they’re all doing well, the ones from Sweden have very good germination rates. The senilis were a bit slow to germinate, I was worried about those. Hope lots more germinate over the coming days. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Claire. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Thank you again for all the time you used to make all the videos, i got some seeds with the small Collection i got today so i need some inspiration (and info on water lol)
Another great video Daz! I so love the flower at the end 🤩 the siblings of that gymno doesn’t look like that, mine very sad haha. Lovely to see all the tiny babies germinated. I have to look at mine after watching your video to see if I’ve they germinated, 2weeks tomorrow but nothing germinated yet 😩 same seeds as yours from Lyn. I also use a very thin layer of vermiculite on the seeds I’ve sown. The pink seedling looks so cute haha. Thanks for always sharing a very informative and engaging video. Have a great day to you and Edith. 💚🌵
Thank you so much, Katherine 😊 Some of these were a little late germinating, there’s a couple of pots with nothing in and it’s been about 3 weeks now. I hope yours have germinated. I had a couple of pink seedlings come up in the past but they usually don’t live for very long unfortunately. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Katherine. Have a wonderful day and weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
It's going to be so cool to see what the Haworthia hybrids will come out like!!! Very exciting!!! New Plants never seen before!!! Thanks for sharing Daz!!! Thank you so much, Clyde 😊 Yeah I can’t wait to see what the Haworthia will look like once they mature, hope more germinate over the coming days. Thank you so much 😊 That’s great you’re growing some Frailea from seed, they are very cool cacti. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy growing 🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜
I have about 5 phaeodisca and 2 casteria and 4 or 5 graphilia. Flower buds on all but the casteria. Might have to put them in full sun to trigger flowering because the buds have been there for weeks with no action. I love the spine arrangement on phaeodisca and casteria. Love sulcorebutia too and have 4 or 5 of them.
Some started germinating after one week, others a couple of weeks. Some pots have none that have germinated yet. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Thank you 😊 It's tap water to begin with. Less chance of anything like damping off killing the seedlings. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Very informative video😌🤲💖Another one to watch out for is fungicide. I damaged many seedlings applying that. And thanks for the information on sterilization👌It pays just to sow seed in a renowned seed mix and seal the bag and keep in bright light away from direct sun and temperatures about 20℃. Thanks again for this video👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I love your Haworthia collection! I grow some too, but haven't done hybridization yet
Thank you 😊 Yes not a good idea to spray fungicide on young seedlings, I damaged a few as well. Thank you for watching and commenting, glad you enjoyed 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
Yes keep the lid on for a good 2 or 3 months. You can keep them sealed longer but the longer they are sealed the more chance there is of rot/fungus issues occurring. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
What do you do about the spider web mold? i get it a lot in my pots, it seems to grow from infected seeds. I try to remove the rotten seed, and spray with fungicide, seems to work if i catch it early on. But some pots it just take over the hole lot :x Maybe i should try to clean the seeds, but i did destroy all germination before in that process :p. Do you have any recommendations? Best regards :)
Not really had an issue with that. Had a couple of problems with damping off in the past with seedlings and unfortunately lost a whole tray because of it. Best thing to do is make sure all pots/trays are sterilised and use good quality substrate. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
@@Cactimania I made 48 pots in baggies in new grow tent, and they come up all pale and pink, later with a big die off. Not sure if i sterilised my soil to much. Or to littel or to much light :x i keep them 70-100 cm away from 100 watt light. i also used some anti fungi, that can be the problem.. I will redo all the pots, hope you got some input ^^ Thank you mate :)
