Dear Ms Lyn, regarding transplanting seedlings in early stages of development you might want to look at this video from a well-known Dutch cacti grower: th-cam.com/video/NvPPawMPQlM/w-d-xo.html (please turn on the subtitles). I've been using this method for years with great success, so I'd call it well proven. Also, at least in my experience, relatively frequent repotting, especially in the first year of developement, significantly accelerates the growth of the seedlings of most species of cacti. Exception to this rule would be very slow growing species belonging to genera Aztekium, Strombocactus, Pelecyphora, etc. Best regards, Nino
