I paid my bill for Cricket it was like $56 years ago my phone would not work they told me I had to go to Buffalo from Batavia and I don't drive I live in New York so cricket sucks also where I live and I barely got any service anywhere except for in town
They are even worse now. I've been with them for over a decade now. I caught them in multiple lies and even when presented with evidence they refused to admit fault and started yelling at me saying "the customer is not always right" I also get tons of spam calls and wrong number texts. There are numerous other major issues with the company as well. I'm switching providers tomorrow.
Sorry that happened to you. You were so right about customer service. Horrible!! I'm leaving after 3 years. So many issues to mention, and I got nowhere with them, only transfered, hung up on, couldn't understand broken English. I am waiting on them to release my phone number to my new carrier. I heard one guy tried that and they wouldn't do it, so after having that number 10 years, he had to get a new number, be cause straight talk wouldn't release it. Guess thats how they punished him for leaving. I'm leaving regardless. I have $55 in reserve because I had to purchase it to get a sim card kit. Said my old sim wasn't working on an unlocked phone I'd purchased. Bought it, still couldn't get data. After 5 useless hours over a 3 day period, still not solved. A friend of mine told me about the APN settings, Access Point Names, entered that info, I got data. Now, I can't call or receive calls with data connection at the same time. If I delete the APN settings, then I can call. Put in APN settings, got internet, no calls in or out. I'm done with them. Save yourself the trouble, go elsewhere. Straight Talk is ranked the lowest of the lows, do your research. Have a great day.
Having the same problem for 3 weeks now.... can't receive or make calls... but can text and use data.... I have a note 9... they are doing away with 3g... I can't get a straight answer but I don't think my phone has Votle so it doesn't have means to make calls since 3g is gone. After 10 years too ... looks like I have to leave. I want to keep my number tho
Straight Talk seems to also have a bad habit of recycling other people’s phone numbers as well. Mine used to belong to an inmate and his friends called thinking it was him. Not long after, my wife’s phone stopped working because the person that used to have the number she was using apparently reinstated their phone line and ported the number to their phone. Going to be switching back to AT&T very soon.
I was outright triple charged and they're not going to give me the money back I can't talk to a supervisor. And I'm not getting my money back they said call my bank. I'm pissed
I wonder if my phone is getting hacked and that is why I got a $0.01 deposit again. If you see a $0.01 deposit there waiting to rob you I use the debit card I only put hardly any in it. I'm wondering if someone at Straight Talk actually really robs you on purpose so they can take your money? And it was not a mistake when I was paying my bill man I need to find a better one
That’s terrible that this happened to you I can’t believe that there isn’t any verification questions that is asked when customers call in so that this doesn’t happen. I couldn’t believe that the other representatives that you talked to before the senior one wouldn’t confirm or deny what you were asking them
They gave a new number that wasn’t even requested and they say wait 24 hrs and call back to see if we can give it back. By then they could give it to anyone else. I think the number is gone now. Customer service was unknowledgeable, unhelpful and a time waster. Super frustrating! I’m not trained in that but I’ll transfer you to another dept. or they simply hang up the call several times. You can be sweet or frustrated it makes no difference. They are incompetent and it’s clearly time to find another carrier.
I called them just to ask if they were going to discontinue the straight talk card one 6G comes out and this guy hanged up on me without even saying anything
My wife had payed about $325 for her phone. It died on her, so she sent it in and about 29 days later she got a phone. but this phone cost around $170. not to mention we had to call them about 17 times and OMG do that suck. rude and they just don`t give a crap. oh and yes they will transfer you fast. man do they pass the buck. oh and one more thing they hung up on her 6 times out of the 17. and she got charged for the month that she didn`t have the phone. the supervisor told me we are going to just have to deal with it.
I went thru a similar situation. Like for nearly 2 months straight I couldn't talk nor text and literally had no data on my phone. It was like my phone was active without any service. Thru them fuckin up I lost out on a good paying job. So had to switch service on those idiots smh.
I'd been with Straight Talk for at least 10 years total. In recent months they did something to my Dashboard on the Straight Talk website. I'd log in and according to my dashboard I didn't have even one cell phone number that was active! They also had no info as to which Service Plan I had! I called them more than once attempting to get my Dashboard updated. All I knew was they were charging me $37 and I was supposed to be charged less for the lowest GB data plan I had. I got tired of it and closed my Straight Talk account this evening. I switched to Mint Mobile after trying them out for a short time. I never enjoyed the times when I had to call Straight Talk Customer Service. It was always difficult for me to understand the reps and for their reps to understand me. Nearly all of them had foreign accents and many of them talked fast! The other reasons I dumped Straight Talk were because Mint Mobile was offering 3 free months of service if you purchase a 3 month plan. Also the cell towers they use where I live are giving me a full spread of bars regarding cell phone signal! I always had a weak signal at home using Straight Talk, always had to use Wi-Fi Calling to make calls and sometimes the call quality wasn't good. I'm going to enjoy Mint Mobile, got a good feeling about them. I have to see if they offer wireless tethering for Internet use on my laptop. Straight Talk never allowed it.
Don't do it you'll be having hell for sure me and my boyfriend had trouble trying to get off straight trust me I was aggravated and frustrated by this nonsense
Had my number forever…only had straight talk for 1 year… my number has been ported out 4 times now…Jan. 3rd was the last time I used my number….super frustrating😒
It's REALLY disturbing that Straight Talk FAILS to keep your Phone Account Secure, and, scammers are able to STEAL your account!! Yikes!!!!!!! I'm Glad I saw this video, now, I don't think Straight Talk is trustworthy. Thanks for getting that information out!!
Very similar to what happened to me. I got swapped twice as well. They got in my email too. Crazy full story on my channel...These phone reps so clueless....
I'm glad I left straight talk it was a pain In neck me and my parents tried calling costumer service it was ridiculous I'm glad I switched to At&t I hated straight talk I couldn't do anything on my old my phone or get on my social media accounts I've gotten a new number and everything else and new phone I'm happy with at&t I hate Straight talk they are the worst straight talk is a rip off and makes you get phones that will break down on you all the time and heat up and lag and give you problems as well me and my parents left straight talk I hated straight talk
Although I agree that during that time the authenticating process was not that secured, it doesn't mean that it resulted to the loss of your bitcoins; if a phone number is transferred to another device, the only information the new owner will get of the previous owner's data would be coming from text messages and somehow calls, and would certainly not contain email accounts, login and personal info.
The scammer with my phone number logged onto my email via text authorization, then gained access to my Coinbase account with my phone number again with text verification… so yeah my phone number being compromised because of Straight Talk was the reason my Coinbase account was compromised. If the scammer did not have texts coming to my phone number to their phone, this would not have happened.
You are so right ESPECIALLY about their unbelievably S***y & RIDICULOUSLY UNPROFESSIONALCustomer Service!!!!! You would not believe the dozens & dozens of stories i have to tell about it. I will be SHARING it EVERYWHERE soon.

Do it, I switched to AT&T ever since the incident in this video and have not looked back.
You are so right. Ive had the same experience with catching them in LIES. But of course the "valued customer" is never right with Straight Talk.

That night was crazy! I felt soooo bad for you bro. You looked like you were ready to blow while you were on the phone with customer service.
That was a rough night, I don’t usually get annoyed by customer service… but the people I was talking to had no idea what was going on…

Did you ever make a video mentioning that you had straight talk before this incident.
Have a question for anyone? esim, would it had made any difference with this situation? I’m considering getting it just, because of cases like this
Sue them.

I’ve been happy with AT&T so far
Yes this happen to me they got my phone too. After 3 different ticket #'s I e got no where. They got $1800.00 . Not getting it back
Thank you I was planning to go to straight talk.
Be very happy you didn't!!!!!!

So if I use it to just text my friends is it still good to use or do you know any other pre paid plans
Hey man. You should never EVER use sms as 2FA
Are the scammers able to swap numbers on any phone service?
Depends on the security of the phone company, wouldn’t surprise me if they’re able to bypass other carriers
@@TuNgo Thank You for responding.

I feel your pain! Txs for posting this fiascio. Sounds like some broker sold your info! This is too fishy!
GET THE IMEI / ESN NUMBER AND TELL THE FEDS. THAT WILL STILL BE ON YOUR ACCOUNT
Kelly..
If I buy a phone from walmart with straight talk, will it work with Boost Mobile?
No
Sad to say... Even BOOST phones are better, buy from them. MY $260 straight talk phone sucks
Ups ..
You should definitely switch to US Mobile and give a try!
Doesn't matter wich company he's with this sort of thing shouldn't be allowed in the first place.
I’ve switched to another phone company and I feel pretty confident that it will not happen again.
I do not blame u for leaving
This crappy phone doesn't have a removable SIM card Galaxy a10e
They stole my phone number
No way, did they do anything for you?
@@TuNgo nope I pretty much lose my 10 years old phone number
Did they go after your safemoon crypto currency
Nope, still have that.
So simplified what very happened you got your coin stolen?
Straight Talk let someone switch my phone number to their SIM card and they used the phone number to get access to my email and Coinbase account :(
@@TuNgo shit happens haha
Sound Quality 👍😃👍

You should never post crypto portfolio on TH-cam. If you are popular on TH-cam.
