Thank you for posting a build with a less popular movement, like the ST36. From your other videos, it looks like you make many different kinds of watches. That's great!
I’ve got the same movement and wanna start putting my own watch together. Any suggestions on good sites or resources for cases? Ideally looking to do a clear crystal / acrylic back.
i was thincking a lot of building my own watch. your video made me buy all the tools and also the components to build this one. Thank you for the video, and also, my wife will hate you for this :))))))))))))))
wonderful video! thanks for all the help and inspiration. the video goes black from 3:54 to 4:20. Can you please upload a new file as thats is where you are attaching the dial
@@jbwatchmods jb sorry if I ask you another question, but not knowing this ST36, I discovered a new world! Is there a seagull that has little hands at 6 o'clock? If so, the dial would change but the procedure would be the same, right?
@@amedeofazzio4792 the movement is different aswell. I believe it's the st3620 that has the seconds hand at 6 o'clock. But yes, the process would be the same :)
Awesome build looks really good, I've just finished my second build both with the NH35 but this Seagull looks a nice alternative, although at 41mm it's a little on the large size for me.
Excellent work! All of your builds have been immaculate, I've really enjoyed watching them and they're super helpful! I've got some materials coming to do an Alpinist explorer style build. If it turns out half as good as yours I'll be really happy! Thanks for the great tutorials, with appreciation and kind regards.
Just a question, did the ST36 movement come ready to use? Someone said that new Seagull movements require disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication before being installed in the watch case.
Hi Jason, can you link to the 41mm case as the one you linked is a 44mm. Very nice a build and cant wait to build one myself. make a change from the good old NH35!!!
Hi. What is the size screwdriver for the screw to release the crown stem? I have the same screwdriver set and can’t get the tip inside the screw head. They seem all bigger than the screw
Thanks for this video!! I enjoy all your demonstrations, but I really appreciate this one in particular because build videos that use non-Seiko movements or feature subdials are rare as hen's teeth! Gorgeous watches BTW. I do have one question: would you happen to know if this same movement can be used with the subdial in a different location, e.g, 6 o'clock?
Thanks mate, I appreciate it! Yes, I believe the movement comes in a variation with the subdial at the 6 o'clock position. I think the movement is the st3620
Sorry but I really have no idea! Best bet would be to try and find the technical drawings and find the post size for each movement to see if they are the same or not
I got lucky and found a seller who does a pretty solid lubrication job. I went to do it myself and realised it was completely fine. Definitely worth checking if the seller you're considering does it or not though
You wont be able to buy these movements soon. They're only going to seel if you buy 10.000 minimum. Edit: That dial looks a million times better than it does on ali photos. That's why it's hard to decide which dials to buy.
Yeah im aware of that... very annoying! Yeah, there's a lot of trial and error using aliexpress. I purchased from 3 different sellers before settling on this one.
Stunning 🤩
Thank you!! 😊

Another watch to make!!!😮😮😮
You're making me poorer and poorer every week😂😂😂

You are a gentleman ☺️
Great video, I may try and build my own watch.
Goodluck!
Thanks for the video. It would be a good idea to oil everything you can reach w/o disassembly. People say, Chinese movements come w/o any lubrication
Another great build. Love it!
Thanks!!
Beaut build JB!
Cheers!

Thanks! Yeah its a nice change from the NH35, I couldn't find a smaller case unfortunately!

Thank you! You're very welcome and good luck with your build!!
Thank you, have ordered the parts for this build. Would love to see a day date build. 😉
Nice! Its on the cards :)
@MJM0000 which strap did you order? because the link in the description doesnt work and I would really like the exact same one as in the Video?

Links updated! Good luck with your build :)
Thank you.
How did you get your logo on the dial? I would love to make one with my children's names on the dial. Thanks! Love these videos! Keep em coming!
I would also like to know that
Thank you :) I have a supplier who does this for me
Where do you get spare parts for the ST36? I need a jewel shock spring.
I'd love to see a build with a Seagul 1903 movement or one of the similar ones.
I recently did a 1903 build but my camera played up! I need to re-order parts now :(
Hi. What is the size screwdriver for the screw to release the crown stem? I have the same screwdriver set and can’t get the tip inside the screw head. They seem all bigger than the screw
I had the same problem. I had to file down the tip of my screwdriver so it would fit :)

I just wish this had a regular seconds hand in the middle, and perhaps exchange the off centered seconds with some other complication.
Yeah, id love to do this with a regular seconds hand aswell!
beautiful movement and great build!
can you try to build NH38 open heart into 41 case with rose gold presidential bracelet with ruby red dial 👏
Cheers! Ive actually got something similar (but different) planned for an upcomming build...
Your video cuts out @4:00
Could you do a Richard Mille? I really like your videos and the designs you have on your page.
Thanks! Unfortunately I don't think there are any RM style parts at this stage
A bit odd question, do you think hands you linked will fit ST17 movement ?
Sorry but I really have no idea! Best bet would be to try and find the technical drawings and find the post size for each movement to see if they are the same or not
Great video! I really enjoyed watching it except the base that was playing. It was so deep that it distracted from the video
Thanks for the feedback! Ill keep it in mind for future videos :)
can u build a simple watch like this (no date function) but one with power reserve indicator?
Im not aware of a movement like this that has aftermarket parts available.
I have question, i just buy seiko mod Submarine but the screw down crown is so hard to open, makes my finger hurts is that something normal or not?
It's hard to say without actually feeling it. But it can give you sore fingers... especially if your not used to it I guess
Problem is that these movements are usually solid dry...
I got lucky and found a seller who does a pretty solid lubrication job. I went to do it myself and realised it was completely fine. Definitely worth checking if the seller you're considering does it or not though
Can you build cartier santos?
Yep! Currently planning it :)
@@jbwatchmods okay brother thankyou in advance!! Keep it up

The background noise (music?) Is unbearable. Had to shut the video down immediately.
