Only in a LAND ROVER it's a WAY OF LIFE. Both my diesel 88" series 1 and diesel series 2a 109 1965 are still running strong. They have never let me down, or left me stranded. Greetings from Florida and the USA.
Stunning Landy! My first was a '77 Safari Station Wagon with Safariwindscreen. It had a 2.6 cylinder sidevalve straight six. It never let me down ever. I miss it profoundly. It ended u with 110 county seats and series3 R6 rims.
Wonderful seeing the landrover. Currently rebuilding one from no basis. Finding and scraping all parts together. The body is similar to yours. Inspirational. Thank you. Love the camping gear. Johan Krugersdorp.
Luckily my Dad never sold it and now we have a duty to preserve it. The pickup to hardtop conversion is very common. That’s different to the Station wagon which is less flexible in this regard. Thanks for watching and appreciate the comments.
What a legendary Rover ! I baught myself a Series 2 A that looks almost Identical its just a 1969 LWB with an 2.25 petrol engine ,He needs a bit of work bu I drive him every day and I am going to build myself a similar kitchen unit what a great Idea. Really love your channel Ijust discovered it 😃

This 2.6l side valve engine is the evolution from the original 1.6 and 2l engine from the Series 1. It is super reliable and robust I will not change it because it is suitable for this vehicle. It is very smooth and has a lot of torque. Only complaint is that it needs to be tuned properly to run efficiently and the carb needs to be properly maintained. If not it will be slow and use more fuel but it will keep on going.

I use a GoPro 9 mostly, it gives great video quality and the sound quality is not bad for a small camera
