    It looks so cute, that wisteria is going to be so happy to be in the ground that you’re gonna have to be pruning it constantly but it’s definitely worth having in the garden! I love wisteria! 😍❤️

      @visitourgarden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes totally worth it!!! Even if I have to prude it back it’s going to be so fun over the chicken coop 💚

    I have that same wisteria myself, and I also have a chicken pen with native honeysuckle vines growing up and over it, which is beautiful. One word of caution I'll offer just because I found this out for myself......if you have raccoons in your area then chicken wire will not keep them out of your chicken pen. I had to change mine out with hardware cloth to keep them out. Chicken wire just isn't strong enough to prevent raccoons from getting in.

      Love wisteria and honeysuckle!
      We are very lucky where we live that we don't have raccoons at all. we have had these girls 3 years now and luckily nothing has ever bothered them. We even have tons of chickens that live around the town haha its so cute to see them running in the alleys 😂

    I live with my daughter and she’s extremely scared of anything potentially invasive. (She tore out my passion vine when it demonstrated how happy it was in our smallish garden. 🥲). So I have to just watch other people’s pretty vines. Your wisteria looks beautiful. And it will give the chickens some nice shade.

      You should try and grow Morning glory then! They grow huge but they are annuals. Stunning show of color too!

    I have grown wisteria here outside of Houston for over 20 years and it grows pretty well. It's one of my favorites. That's going to look and smell great!

    Love Wisteria. How big will the trunk get? I’m thinking of using Wisteria to replace an old sickly climbing rose bush. Thanks!

    • @visitourgarden
      @visitourgarden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The trunk stays very small, It’s a tall grower. 💚💚

    Mine is probably the same size. Mine definitely need repotting. Need to do it after some watering.

    I have heard that some varieties of AMerican Wisteria smell like cat pee. Have you had any blooms yet, and if so, what is the fragrance like?

    • @visitourgarden
      @visitourgarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have never had that problem, luckily. My grandparents had one that smelt like cat pee. So yes it’s true it can happen.
