Irys is a Nephilim, half angel half demon & is the symbol of hope (Edit:) Anther example of a Nephilim is Dante from Devil May Cry

ah, now the heterochromia makes sense. And her musicstyle!

It's been mentioned already, but IRyS' lore is that she is a Nephilim.. a being that is the child of a celestial (angel) and an abyssal (demon), and her domain is the concept of "Hope"; like Mumei's Domain is "Civilaztion" or Kronii's "Time". One of the things I love about her is the way she plays into her character lore by embracing the positive/negative energy of Hope itself.. as hope is not always a good thing: it can lead to self-improvement and benevolence, but it can also lead to delusions of grandeur and fanaticism. She represents this in her streaming as her normal "innocent" persona occasionally changing into the infamous "Yabairys" gremlin persona that comes out at times

She really thought that through. I would love to know how much of that concept came from IRyS @.@

Just as "Carbonated Love" is the song that perfectly defines her personality, "Caesura of Despair" defines her LORE (another example: her 2nd EP, "Journey". 6 songs, 1 story).
Also, being the first song it has become the perfect song for key moments for her, apart from being nostalgic 💎❤️👍

Glad to see you enjoying more Irys singing. I think many have commented this but the chaos we hear is probably a portrayal of her half angel half demon nature. A funny trivia Irys has dropped about this song is when this was being created, she was asked what her vocal range is. She naively give them her maximum vocal range which resulted in the song spanning the whole of said range making it very hard to sing without preparation. This is why she rarely sings Caesura in karaoke (I believe this is indeed Latin, referring to to the musical concept/notation of the same name meaning a pause in music). This is quite sad because I really love her singing in this song.

      hahaha, thats a funny story!
But i mean, would it not have gone that way, maybe the song wouldn't be that great :D

Sadly IRyS doesn't have any acapella in her catalogue yet.
She does still have ten songs you haven't heard on her latter two EPs if you ever want more. I think the easiest to recommend of these songs is Berserker from the Quarter Bravery EP, a fan favorite that even though it didn't get a video, was also performed at the 3D showcase.

ooh, then i have still some good songs for the future, thats great to hear.
no acapella on the other hand is a little bit sad :(

I really like this MV. It shows the idea of the lore, and I also think the quality of the clip is beautiful.

Yeah, the animation is stunning. Sadly it's too short. Barely had enough time to give a quick "nice animation" statement on my first listen...

6:32 i always like her and suisei`s live/3d performances better. cause the both aresuch good singers, but for some reason seem to get drowned under backgroundmusic/mixing for alot of their studio song versions. maybe thats is just a me/personal preference though.

She is an amazing live performer, that you can clearly hear. In this one she sounds a little bit muffled, which i assume is the fault of the microphone.

hmm interesting that the instrumental threw you off for this, that being said though it just so happens that there is a diff ver of this song that came out at her debut time that I actually like alot better than the PV ver called the attacca ver. which is also on her ch it switches the the intrumental up to a more edm esque style but still keeps all the pretty singing

Ou, okay. I will give that a listen. I assume it is on the EP then. Thanks for letting me know!

Do you think about seeing beyond the songs? Example: best moments of the week, cuts of funny or dubious moments? If so, I recommend them. They are wonderful and very funny.

I want to, and i will in the future. My hololive experience (or more like VTuber overall) is watching gaming streams and clips. (i love clips)
for now i try to record clip reactions also, but i'm not satisfied enough to upload them, so maybe that will take more time.
overall i want to experience VTubers and especially hololive more deeply. I liked watching reactors (but there are a quite a finite amount of them) so i thought to myself, why not? So i want to see all the things (MV, cover, 3dlive, concerts, clips). Thats my goal :D

@@RIANticsI give you my full support. I recommend seeing if you can do collabs with other channels that do reactions. When a new MV comes out. (Since it will be in your focus of recorded videos). It's an excellent way to exchange audiences and meet more content creators. If you want, I can recommend three who do this. Two are Vtubers and the third started playing Holocure (a fan game). And addicted to Hololive, and now he's recording videos getting to know them and everything. Lol

@@ThiagoABarbosa Thanks for saying that! I would absolutely like to do something like that in the future. I think that could also be interesting for others. If you have recommendations, please do :)
but well, thats the 4 or 5 day on YT, i'm new, etc... so i think it will take some time until then :D

I see you have reacted to multiple IRyS songs! Nice!
Um, while there is not an "official" acapella song from her, she did a short acapella rendition of her latest song Carbonated Love in a collaboration stream about 2 months ago.
I highly recommend listening to the original song MV first: th-cam.com/video/DjNNpw2x2dU/w-d-xo.html
And here's the link to a clip of her singing the acapella version: th-cam.com/video/7anSafIklRI/w-d-xo.html
I'll go check out your other IRyS reactions! 😀
