I trained tactical comms to all of the Korean SF units, Army and Navy. Comparing students everywhere over 23 years, they were tops as they come to class prepared and work from 8 to 5 every single day. They have a prideful absolute desire to excel that is 2nd to none. 20 years before this, I was an active duty advisor to one of their SF Brigades. I would say go outside in four rows of five on the soccer field and be ready for a comms check and they would say soon, waiting for you, Mr. Harris!
Dammit, leave it to the SEALs for being so braggish and arrogant. At least Green Berets do better at emulating the "quiet professional" standard. But a little humility can go a long way
If you watched the whole episode, you can tell the production team wants each unit to smash talk to each other. The Americans were quite friendly and the Koreans were surprised by their friendliness on a survival show. Americans were trained with real combat. Pistol shooting is not quite useful in real warfare. In fact in later episodes of real combat section of the compition, the Americans outshine the Koreans. The Korean units were very good as well. There were some closed calls. In the end, when they are doing 2 teams alliance, everyone wants to be with the American team because they all acknowledge the experiences of the American Navy
Rangers lead the Way! It's like the difference between a Jarhead and a POG.
Don't worry I watched the whole series on Kocowa and then went back and read all the comments on every episode that were in Korean and translated them. By an enormous amount, literally everyone, I kid you not! Found the USSF team endearing and they loved them. They actually played it down way more then the other teams, it's kind of a constant part of the show for the teams to talk a LOT OF SMACK between the teams on this season. I was worried like you but no everyone fell in love with our guys and didn't see them as arrogant.
It was purposely done for comedy effect. Watch - "S. Korea airs gratitude video ad" - for what ur brave ancestors had done for a tiny insignificant country. 😢
We really do believe we owe our existence to US (part of UN Veterans from 22 countries).
*We've got beards, therefore testosterone. We're so alpha. Be amazed* _ every SEAL who loves the limelight. They should be call Navy Cringe!
I think Americans forget that Koreans fought in Vietnam so ferocious that the North Vietnamese were actually scared of Koreans vs Americans...
More like they responded in kind to Viet tactics. They would torture civilians (since some were spies) and punish them, etc. Basically use NVA/VietCong tactics against them so it was effective
I think it came down with the mentality during Vietnam war. Koreans sent to war are volunteers getting paid extra fighting the same type of enemies they fought during Korean war, many of whom had seen the war in their homeland turning them into battle hardened veterans. This in mind, they have the better mentality why they need to fight, which is money to support their country, hate against the communists and honor for their country as well as supporting those who supported their country. on the other hand, many of the US forces are bunch of conscripts and misfits (including criminals given the chance to pay their due by going to war) needed for the war machine to keep rolling. Also for most of the US troops, they didn't understand why they need to fight a war thousand of miles away from home and many only wanted to survive and come back home to their country. Either way, the war could've ended swiftly if the US was brave enough to eliminate the North Vietnamese army instead of fighting a prolonged guerilla warfare but their fear of the Chinese and Soviet Union declaring a world war hindered a full military campaign against North Vietnam. Too bad they didn't have enough intelligence that NV is actually not getting along well with China, hence Vietnam and China had a war after Vietnam war. Soviet also was not interested in giving their full support to the Vietnamese. In total, US lost d/t politics. If politicians at that time(mostly d/t congress) was brave enough, Vietnam war shouldn't have lasted that long, and it should've been won.
Meanwhile North Korean propaganda would have you thinking all American soldiers are 6ft+ bodybuilders who live for war
After the SEALs lost they went back to writing their next book.
Discipline. Never underestinate nor overestimate others. Just go prepare yourself.
It's a show. if you watched the whole show they are all talking smack at each other probably part of the drama. Also, it's a normal thing in the military. Maybe not openly talk smack but competition is strong.
I trained with the ROK Marines in Pohang, South Korea, from the 33BN WPCO. I saw those motherfuckers carrying a 42kg 81mm fully-assembled mortar up the fucking mountain with their full gear added on. I also got to train with them in the Mountain Warfare Training course outside of Pohang. They beat us hands down. We didn’t even have a chance against them. Trust me, these are one badass motherfuckers. I’m so glad they’re on our side. Semper Fi, brothers.
And don't forget, Asians are smaller than Caucasian but carrying those loads? What an epic one.

As a Korean myself, the US does have stronger personnel. Not to mention if this wasn't a biased video, you would've also shown how dominant the USSF team:
1. Ship boarding mission.
2. Tire-pull challenges (there were several of them).
3. Their "Ace" alone in one of the tire challenges outmatched 2 opponents.
4. Sure they may not have done as well in the shooting, but you're talking about guys who have left the special forces more than a decade ago unlike the Koreans who may have left a few years previously.
Ian was definitely their MVP. Dude was awesome and walked the talk for the most part. I think they actually had strong potential to enter the final round if they didn't end up speed rushing their last mission. For the most part, I felt it also had to do with Will's tendency to be too hot-headed and reckless. If he had slowed himself down and matched his team's pace overall, the results could have been very different.
@@lychvy8023 Fair points
@@lychvy8023 yeah, WILL def forgot his roots and all these tv show exposure got to his head.
@@alansohn855 You are right. I only took the scenes of American soldiers underestimating and losing to Korean soldiers, as the title of my video suggests. I do agree with @lychvy8023. If Will had not rushed through the ship boarding mission, the USSF team would have performed better and gotten shot way lesser.

@@Aryan-nv9kd That's politics, military wise in every combat engagement they've won. Look what the US managed to turn the Korean military, Ukrainian military, etc into.
All the US SF guys were out 10+ years, all the Korean guys were out relatively recently within 3 years. Also, in that actual combat scenarios the US team outperformed the Koreans.
Cope lmao
@@sadcapyyoutube Lol, that's literally the truth, I watched these series, plus can say, that USSF were not used to work with korean pistols, as in default they are using glocks. Plus all koreans wanted to get some experience from them, since they were deployed and had combat experience
@@sadcapyyoutube 40year old retirees vs guys in their late 20s, not cope, truth lol
@@chubss808 Then maybe turn it down a notch and don’t be talking shit so much. Also, Koreans don’t walk around daily with guns, or shooting with guns daily whereas Americans often do. So the “10 year out” vs “3 year out” doesn’t mean squad
@@dominus6224 lol hard cope
Despite initial misconceptions, the South Koreans, drawing from their history of bravery in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, displayed remarkable resilience. Their brutal interrogation tactics in Vietnam resulted in an impressive kill ratio of 21 to one, challenging stereotypes. This serves as a powerful reminder not to judge based on appearances, as the South Korean forces proved their mettle on multiple fronts. Trusts me these guys are relentless are fearless when encountered in combat. South korean are brave warriors!
I agree! Even the leader of Somali Pirates, who got caught and arrested by Korean UDT, vowed to never mess with a South Korean vessel again! He told media that in just a span of 30 minutes, most of his men were already wiped out by the Koreans. He underestimated their brute and intelligence on how to handle situations like this. Luckily, he got sent back to Somalia after negotiations were made. And even more fascinating is that he was never physically tortured. Instead, they let him sit in a silent room all day to understand how important it is to feel shame and guilt... especially when it's dead silent.
by the way, the Chinese films always portray the South Koreans military in a very bad way in their Korean war films and literature as well
I would never underestimate the ROK guys. They are constantly on alert for war with the North, so they train hard to defend their homeland. They got a lot to lose if they ever lost to the fatty up North. The protection of their home is their motivation for training as hard as they could.
Never judge the book by its cover!!!
None of these korean SF hold a candle to american SF none of them have seen any combat lol
As a Korean, i would never think Korea would win USA
???
No one cares about static marksman ship
US special forces, as well as every other combat job in the US military prioritize combat marksmanship and combat shooting drills, moving and shooting
You guys focus on shooting a paper while standing still and complain about brass hitting soil
But whoever gave them the number one title... Navy seals look like boy scouts compared to SAS.
I'm only here for the funny comments 😂
Americans: You will never be like us.
Koreans: That's the point kiddo!
Going in cocky and talking shit while your opponents are quiet is always a sighn of uncertainty. Don't push the quiet person in the room there usually the most dangerous..!
I saw many people just hiding behind their Entity while can't really keep up with the name, these are just examples. Most of the time maybe we are just lucky during the selection but it's our fault that we didn't keep up with the fitness and knowledge etc after we passed ☺️
I feel like koreans are no jokes. They were resilant towards mongols, japans, Chinese and even their own kind. 😂
Be confident and humble but not over confident and arrogant. Real man is humble, respectful and confident, not underestimate his opponent and will always fight to win and helps his team when needed ! 😊
Where to watch? Watched the last year and its so good, i dont know they made a new one
As a half Korean and Black American and father being military I ❤️ both
The Koreans meant business when they showed up in their suits 😎💯👌🏽
Navy seals focus nowadays is writing a book and using the trident and status to become millionaires 🤣. General public eats that up.
the GIGN is the best for me... i like korea teams, because this tactique is intelligent !
The GIGN is not a SF, they are not doing the same job. But in their job (same as FBI HRT, part of SAS, GSG9, etc.) they are indeed amazing
The pit look more like of a wrestling tournament than anything else. As a former School wrestler, it's all about technique never try to out muscle your opponent.
As a certified close combat instructor who trained with overseas SF, I can say that most bigger size guys prefer brute force instead of techniques. People who rely more on techniques are smaller size guys and women.
Korean SF is to US Navy SEALS as US Navy SEALS are to Walmart cashiers. ROK SF is hard af and no other force in the world combines such attitude, intelligence, and physical hardness.
I’m embarrassed by these “Special Operators” As usual, all show, no go. The navy seal thing has been played out for ten years now.
Title of the show please? 😊
The amount of people who actually believe this is real is astonishing.
Well, if you watch the entire series, the US soldiers were given a fair chance to compete against their Korean counterparts, and they performed decently in some missions. So I don't really see what's there to believe or not believe. Losing a competition is just a fact.

"We are the number one special operation force in the world" - I think 1st SFOD - Delta might have something to say about that. 😂😂😂😂
Other countries too
We really need to be humble in America. Most Asian countries wrote the book in martial arts and warfare. We let these fools pump our heads up in American military culture. I served in combat arms. We all do it! And when you take an L you learn to hush up! Just do work! Your actions should speak for themselves. When you fall short and you will. You regroup and get better!
koreans are hyper competitive they become instantly good at whatever it is they pick up
Excellent teachers and trainers
Part 2 or any others?
I don't think these were real navy seals, they would not be allowed to show their face.
They're retired around 10 yrs already.
To guys that didn't know, the show was mostly a propaganda to show that Korean Spec Ops are better so it's expected that it will be skewed against the foreigners. I don't even know why they even added foreigners but I'm sure it's to make the Koreans look better in public and letting foreigners win will be a bad PR, so I'm even surprised they lasted that long in the game. The weapon alone used was Korean, which is something that the Americans are not that familiar with (if you have experience shooting different weapons you would know that there's a different feel for different weapons) It takes some practice to be proficient in a specific weapon hence why they didn't do well on that part. Language barrier is also another issue. some of the SEALS in the show was medically retired for a reason d/t real combat operation which could've affected their overall performance. Mixing up SEAL's and a Green Beret was also not a good choice specially regarding how both units operate/different tempo. SEAL's operates more slowly while Green Beret's uses swift action, attacking by surprise, violence of action. Age comes into perspective as well and depending on how long they've been out of service it does affect their capability. Another thing is the Korean guys are trained and more accustomed in the challenge thrown in this show compared to the American guys. And yes, some of the Korean team still operates at some point like being in the reserve allowing them to keep their skills sharp. I think someone pointed out as well that the pistol used by the Americans were not properly calibrated. also, in the mission phase in the ship, the weapon that the green beret was using keeps jamming. There were also parts in the ship mission that the guys acting as cartel members broke cover while the Koreans was doing their mission as well as the enemy cartel was doing more ambush against the Americans. I can keep going but in the end it's a show to promote Koreans SF. FYI, there's a reason why foreign spec ops in the world comes to the US to train and learn from the US military. Let that sink in.
@@skyisdlimit6125 Well, this military reality show serves zero political purpose since US and South Korea are allies. So if UK soldiers won some competition against the US, is that "propaganda"? So this is not the definition of "propaganda". Ultimately, this video is for entertainment purposes. Don't take it too seriously.
Where can I watch the entire program?
Hi, it's available on Netflix.
The problem with a lot of SEAL members: Arrogance. They really do look down at their rivals.
They look down at everyone. Read their books, listen to their podcasts they only think they should be the ones with a constitutional right in America. They live in delusion from either seeing too much combat or none at all
When you feel strong know its the time that you're weak
If you start out giving you're hips away just by how you stand at 1:58 then yeah you're going to get taken down.
im not american or korean but all special force in the world have different kind of training and tactics..If you bring any foreign SF to compete using the training SOPs that you usually do, ofcorse it was disadvantage for them, if you bring korean SF to compete against american SF using their kind of training also will make korean look bad
you know why they lost Vietnam and Afghanistan 😅
What's the old saying? Navy seals try out for delta and green berets, but gren berets and delta never try out for seals. Not to mention, all SF units in the world can trace their origins to the founding fathers of SF. The british SAS/SBS.
I’m glad that the South Koreans are on our side.

Hi, they are taken from Iron Squad season 3.
What variety show is this?
Steel Troops season 3
Are these guys actors or real seals/sof? They sound cocky as fuck, and they underestimated their opponents.
Yeah I'm thinking the same
Both
They all talk smack in the show, the video was cut to make them look bad while making Koreans look good.
That’s just how seals are. Nothing more than recruitment tools for the Navy. Military mascots.
Doesn’t anyone know or understand the words “Never Underestimate Your Opponents” everyone got their own strengths, skills, and mindset🤦♂️
If you watched the show they all talk smack its just that this video was cut to make them look bad.
So when you quit all together and retire you lose your skills, sounds about right vs maintaining them
Too much pride.
You can also invite The Philippines Scout Ranger and Light Reaction Regiments (LRR) 🎉
Lol wrestling is Korea's national past time. 😆Their tradition is to have wrestling matches on new year. So there's no shame in losing to koreans in a wrestling match like this.
If you really look into America's history in Asia, they cannot fight like Asians, they lost to Asians all the time, till they had to drop atomic bombs on civilians because Japanese ninjas were tearing them apart on the ground.
Well... the us team won by a fair margin against the UDT in the boat carry and boat paddling mission afterwards which was more reflective of their professional experience especially when these US guys are clearly the oldest competitors
Mate , just accept the fact that asian people are more excellent and full with fast learning people
@@GhostRider-ku7bb bro I'm Asian but I'm just speaking objectively from what I watched so far in this series but it is still very early to tell. The South Koreans are definitely the physically fitter ones though I wonder if it is because they are mostly younger than the US competitors
Yeah but the fact that a Diving Team is better than SEALS and Delta Force at SHOOTING (you know, the most important thing) is saying a lot. Also the Americans aren't that much older, they just look it cos they're white and bearded, they're not old enough that age is slowing them down, if anything their age should give them more experience and wisdom. There are no grandpa's in Delta Force or SEALS.
@@CHEESYHEAD684 there is no delta force here lol. And the Korean diving team are also navy seals
@@lychvy8023 My bad, the US SEALS. Yeah I mean, they're not like 50-60 years old where age starts to wear on you, they still look like killers and very fit, I do really think they're at a peak phase where they have more experience than a guy in their 20's but can still move and are as strong as one. Also obviously Asians look like children till we hit like 70 and then we wake up with wrinkles and a a crooked back. Still, South Korean SEALS outdoing US SEALS is impressive.
You clearly cherry picked specific parts to make the US SF look bad when they were actually doing well in the later episodes of the show. Just to be clear the ussf members have been retired for a significant amount of time from the force and are much older than the other contestants on the show. The ussf team are in their 40s and are competing physically against members in their late 20s and early 30s. When it comes to actual experience the ussf have been in active duty for many more years and have real actual combat experience compared to the other teams who have zero actual combat experience. It is even stated in the show that the shooting is not realistic to actually combat shooting. You doing a comparison of the ussf to the other teams is a joke especially when this is just a reality show.
You are right. This video is meant for entertainment purposes. Don't take this too seriously.

British SAS are literally the most feared special forces because Putin himself feared it ( I think so )
SAS is the original that other special forces copied. But with the amount of resources the US can invest, they are probably ahead of the curve
@@VivaLaRazsa the USA when it comes to military power wins by quantity rather than quality & the reason why there's alot of service members in USA it's because it's easy to pass the training of each military branch unlike the British military branches
@@susanoo3695 You make some valid points. A lot of people in the US join the army because its the best job they can get. Plus the whole patriotism angle.
The US puts an order of magnitude more money into their training. Recent interviews of SAS men have revealed how they feel they stand against Delta, which is that Delta has clearly superior training and capabilities and that SAS/SBS is no long the leader. SAS showed up to Iraq without night vision, for heaven's sake.
British ops, including Special Forces, follows the American lead in almost all cases - the latest reorganization of the British forces to be better aligned with American way of doing things being a good example.
The British are no longer capable conducting extensive worldwide expeditionary warfare on their own, especially in terms of logistics and are really an auxiliary of the US.
The transferal of the lead of the "Tier 1" level Special Operations Forces crown was bound to happen in the overall transfer of the role of global hegemonic power from the British to the US

Yes, for this particular challenge, the emphasis is on accuracy, unlike what the US soldiers were used to in their combat shooting, with the emphasis on speed.
@@Aesop123 I agree with you. Speed is paramount during combat operations. However, if you're involved in police or homeland security operations where there are civilians, I can see the importance of accuracy.

Hi, it really depends on which country you're talking about. Different countries have different physical requirements for their militaries.
The American is always cocky because they heard growing up we're the best this, that, and the other... It stems from parenting as well. A little humility needs to be instilled in them, maybe more people would respect them, and they wouldn't look as terrible when they loose
Delta Force would've won the pistol competition for sure. They do a lot of pistol training. Not sure if the SEAL's do a lot of pistol work. Either way, these weren't tier-1 guys they were up against.
Shooting skill is like cardio, you'll lose it if you don't continue to practice it. These military guys are long retired so they don't have the shooting level of an actual soldier anymore. Doesn't mean that they weren't good when they were active duty
USSF가 처음 써보는 총이라 잘 쏘지 못했을것 입니다.
alright it’s biased, but I will say this; I blame the seals and that one cocky green beret. Delta or one of the rangers (if they were on here) would have probably just turned around and stared at that seal who just let off that comment, but then again if they were on here I think they’d probably be screwed 😭 I can see 707 trying to keep it high speed with delta since it’s they actively train with them, but it’s tough to beat your own teacher up.
Americans making excuses in the comment section 😂
Back then there was such men but now I don't know who TF are these "Navy Seals".
I'm not sure were these SF guys came from cause I have regular Soldiers in my company who are not 100% dedicated to physical fitness nor shooting that would max on their pistol Qual and are level 3 combatives certified. These are casual dudes that would smoke those SF guys.
Americans: Hair gel, beards, cool glasses, tattoos, earrings, and buff. Koreans: Skill, ability, stamina, and drive.
Koreans are all younger, recently separated from SF. All the Americans are in their 40s with over 10 years out of service. There has been Special forces/War games before comparing the two, and the Koreans have never come out on top over active US/British/French special forces(but are the best Asian special forces for sure)
