What I love about this tour is it is a REAL sketchbook. What I mea. Is some artists do "sketchbook" tours and they are practically all completely finished pieces. But what's so lovely about yours is you see all stages
Yes agree. I keep watching this video over and over because the realness of her sketchbook really inspired me to do something about my sketchbook. Her sketchbook is more something like where she puts her idea and concepts of her future paintings instead of fully completed drawings that more like an art book instead of sketchbook.
I'm really that type of artist that makes finished things (not all, but still) but it's just so relaxing to see finished pages, when they are really full
Hi! I just feel the need to share this experience with anyone who reads this. In a couple weeks I’m going to the doctors, to get a diagnosis, that I know in my heart will not be good. Last night, I was feeling sad and lonely. My mother is an artist who hasn’t really painted or drawn in awhile... came over with two pencils and an old notebook that she used in college. We sat down and talked and laughed and drew a portrait together. It was such a calm and healing experience that I know I will never forget. Art brings people together and is so healing. I just wanna say I love this channel and I love whoever is reading this! Life is so unpredictable, go hug a person you love and tell them how much they mean to you! 💕
I don't know what is making me reply to you cause it's a year later but I hope you are doing ok, and that your story was very touching to read. 🙏 lovely moment with your mum.
I always love seeing your sketchbook pages. Your sketching style is so very beautiful, and of course I especially like seeing those little glimpses of the animal sketches! Thanks so much for the little mentions :)
I know it's very specific but I am in love with how you paint hair in watercolours! It's so pretty... All of your art is gorgeous, thank you for sharing it with us :)
Excellent flip through, thank you! The two color challenge is something I am going to start next. I agree, your sketchbook doesn’t have to be dated, it’s OK to finish it when you finish it. Very inspiring, love your videos and work.🌺
Loved your video as always. Surprisingly the purple and yellow combination has a good variety of natural skin tones too. I see several tones I use to paint different variations of darker skin.
I don't have kids, but my partner and I always go the park and there's guaranteed to be a kid who wants to paint or draw with us. My travel set is a little nice, but not like super pricey, same with my travel sketchbooks. Sometimes, a four year old or maybe eight tops will splash blue and pinkand red and all sorts of colours, draw Elsa or write their names or draw flowers or bats... and my partner asked me "Don't you want to give them your cheaper sketchbooks so they don't waste your fancy paper?" I just looked at the aghast, "What's even the point of a sketchbook if you can't collect the art of children?" So I totally agree with you on the ending. I think I'd like to do that, have my ids draw the first or last page in all my books. They'll have their own, but it's a great little reminder that you also get to keep ad doesn't get thrown out in the piiiiles of art and books they may get rid of.
Hi ! ( sorry if there are mistakes because I’m french 😅) I really love your art wich is beautiful and just do Much inspiration. Just everything in your videos are such à Great motivation for me to keep trying in art and your voice... can we just talk about how smooth it is !!? Then I really want to thank you for sharing your work and just for being amazing artist as you are😊
I really enjoy watching a sketchbook tour where there is such a wide variety of subjects and unfinished pieces! I have never completed a sketchbook I just used them for projects and then they get put away and a new book gets started. I wonder if it is a new art form because of TH-cam? I enjoyed your book and I encourage you to go back and turn some of these ideas into finished pictures/paintings! I adore the Mission Gold watercolor paints, I have since become enamored with the DaVinci line of paints, they just WoW me! I blame Denise! Keep up your fantastic work and I look forward to seeing more in this new year!
so inspiring! I love your artwork! It might be a good idea to put sticky tabs on pages of ideas you want to develop further? I do it sometimes with sketches and writing, and when I am not sure what I want to do I go though my old books, often they inspire something completely new lol but maybe one day I'll do the original idea!
Love the video! Maybe to counter the smudging of graphite you can spray it with hairspray? That’s something that works for me, though it does set the graphite in place quite permanently.
So much gorgeousness Arleesha. Love your work. I would love to see some animal/human or human/plant paintings. I love it when you draw wolf/dog things in your work and deer etc. Just so dreamy. Take care of yourself and thank you. x
I was getting real Arthur Rackham and Brian Froud vibes when you showed some pages from the Faeries of the Faultlines book. Great sketchbook tour, giving me inspiration to get rid of my artblock. Thanks
aaah those sketches are so beautiful! Makes me really inspired to draw more, have been kind of neglecting my sketchbook these past weeks... seeing those imperfect ink scribbles between gorgeous ones made me think back on my very few attempts at drawing with brush pens, how I instantly decided that they weren't my thing and how I should go back and explore them more now, try and learn :'D thank you ❤
Its fun how kids turns their drawings to a story! (or the other way around..) 😍❤️ You definitly use your sketchbook to the fullest! Mine has a lot of blank space that I, in my mind, will get back to and fill in. But that never happens.. 🙈😅
I love your sketchbook tours....I'm always so inspired after watching them. Btw I want the dragon age stickers lol and I love the book! Do you know where I can get a copy?
Thank you for sharing that was relaxing and inspiring! beautiful! love the butt dudes! and your thoughts on asking your self what you want to create/paint. You would think we would ask ourselves that more?! That is one of my goals of self care this year! I am loving your two color portraits!
i have the same sketchbook!! it's not really finished tho.... i think ive been having difficulty finishing it because it feels a bit fancy to me? so i feel like i dont want to waste good paper.... it's funny how my sketchbooks that really contain the most actual sketches are the the cheapest ones because then if i mess up i dont feel like i wasted the paper, but then i cant use a lot of mediums like too much ink or paint because the paper isnt strong enough lol. anyway, this makes me want to have more fun finishing this sketchbook
Actually, no! I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of inspiration pulled from the games in some way, but their story isn't set in that universe. :] Thanks for asking about them!
I feel you I always wanted to make my comic but sometimes I put that to the side. Also you need to draw more body's. To much face it well mess up you're art style
What I love about this tour is it is a REAL sketchbook. What I mea. Is some artists do "sketchbook" tours and they are practically all completely finished pieces. But what's so lovely about yours is you see all stages
Agreed. I adore the finished ones don't get me wrong. But I enjoyed seeing the different stages your work goes through
Yes agree. I keep watching this video over and over because the realness of her sketchbook really inspired me to do something about my sketchbook. Hi, that was a lovely experience with your mum to share. How are you?
I don't know what is making me reply to you cause it's a year later but I hope you are doing ok, and that your story was very touching to read. 🙏 lovely moment with your mum.
Looking at your art makes me feel so much more calm and happy. Thank you.
I always love seeing your sketchbook pages. Your sketching style is so very beautiful, and of course I especially like seeing those little glimpses of the animal sketches! Thanks so much for the little mentions :)
I am so happy that there's another artist out there that's just as obsessed with dragon age as I am! And not just inquisition!
Ive wanted to start a sketchbook to help me learn, in addition to following tutorials. So many ideas in my head right now. Thank you
I love your gouache studies! I hope someday I can be good at painting with gouache like you. ✨
I know it's very specific but I am in love with how you paint hair in watercolours! It's so pretty... All of your art is gorgeous, thank you for sharing it with us :)

I love this. It’s so pure and you have a great distinctive style.
Loved your video as always. Surprisingly the purple and yellow combination has a good variety of natural skin tones too. I see several tones I use to paint different variations of darker skin.
I mix lemon yellow and a little bit of purple to mix a blonde hair color
thank you for sharing this with us. really enjoy seeing your sketches and this inside to your art.

“This is cole from dragon age” ... “he’s a good boy”
😌
He's a very good boy! My Inquisitors always adopt him with varric lol
Beautiful work. I aspire to be just like you. Not steal from your work but work my way up to your talent. So talented
Wow. I really do need to just sit down and sketch more. This is awesome.
I was getting real Arthur Rackham and Brian Froud vibes when you showed some pages from the Faeries of the Faultlines book. Great sketchbook tour, giving me inspiration to get rid of my artblock. Thanks

After seeing that lovely Dorian sticker on the cover plus your Cole’s sketch you make want to play DA inquisition again :)
Its fun how kids turns their drawings to a story! (or the other way around..) 😍❤️
You definitly use your sketchbook to the fullest! Mine has a lot of blank space that I, in my mind, will get back to and fill in. But that never happens.. 🙈😅

I love all the dragon age I see everywhere!!! Have you done any DA art that you've put on your channel?
Also I wrote that before this sketchbook and I love all the little studies of them. So cool to find another fan. :D
omg what colors at on the page at 4:09 they look so beautiful
Warm browns are skin colors.
Agreed!
~Where did my light go~
I was wondering are "the boys" inspired by or set in the dragon age universe?
Actually, no! I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of inspiration pulled from the games in some way, but their story isn't set in that universe. :] Thanks for asking about them!
the butt dudes remind me of Keith Haring art
i hope u know i luv u
Why don’t the comments work?
I feel you I always wanted to make my comic but sometimes I put that to the side.
Also you need to draw more body's.
To much face it well mess up you're art style
Can't agree more with your last statement. Anatomy is everything for comics.
