Looks like somebody messed up a perfectly good truck unless you can find a original chassis for it

Unfortunately the chassis for these are undesirable, most people pay big money for these and they just want the cab, they usually drop it onto a duramax frame or a newer chassis, these old trucks are just almost too underpowered and slow for todays modern roads. Thanks for watching!

I think if if you check the linkage on the pto, you will find a lever or a cable that shifts it out of gear as they only turn when needed. Do not drive with pto in gear as it will break something.. they are not made to drive with that in gear... a little tiny gear trying to spin any highway speed above say four or five miles an hour an something will give and that gets real spendy. I can see that what you young men are used to is at least twenty years newer than this rig. That is one big six cylinder, looks like a 302 or the 450 six cylinder cubic inch motor. I am guessing the gmc engines as they had some mighty big six engines. Lots of torque, not a lot of power. Right manifold, a small turbo with say five to seven pounds of boost, it would be up around five hundred or more horsepower. Long ways from the maybe one hundred horse now, closer to eighty five horses. Not many donkeys to make a go fast, add a turbo an she will toast tires an run like the cowards the democrats are.
