It's really poor decision making getting a dog with her lifestyle. That's all. She travels a lot; THAT'S why she gave Nugget to the mother-and now she gets a fucking dog. And she'll still be travelling. It's just we hope she knows what the hell she's getting into with a dog. They're MUCH more work than cats; most people with full time jobs can't even get a pet because of not being able to be there full time and she gets one and she travels a LOT. Hmmm.....Sucks.

My friend brings her dog (who is a Pomeranian just like Tato) on airplanes all the time and the dog just sleeps on her lap. I could NEVER get my cat to do that. So even if she is traveling, she can obviously take Tato. Also, can we talk about how this is a 28-year-old woman who can make her own damn decisions?

She did not get rid of nugget because of travel or not being able to take care of him. Nugget made her mom happy, and she said that her mom's happiness was super important to her. She was completely capable of taking care of nugget.
The people condemning her for giving Nugget to her mom and then saving the life of another animal really have no clue what goes on in the real world. She is not an irresponsible pet owner. It IS easier to travel with a dog than a cat because cats are very easily stressed. They have very small hearts, too much stress can be devastating to their health. What's the point of having a cat if you're never around to keep it company? She felt her mom would better fulfill Nugget's needs, it's simple. Although I don't understand why ANYONE has an opinion on it, like go live your own lives and stop worrying so much about others lol yall are bored. In the meantime, there are TRULY irresponsible pet owners that don't vaccinate, exercise, or properly feed their pets, and obviously in extreme cases people that abuse and neglect their pets. If you really have nothing better to do than judge others, why don't you try to do something that would benefit abused/homeless animals.
When you got Nugget I fell in love with the breed and got my ragdoll Kai. He is such a joy and I'm happy you gave Nugget and your mom their best life by keeping them together after they bonded. I recused a four year old pup last year who was going to be put down and she has brought so much joy into my life, I hope Tayto does the same for you! I know dogs are able to come along and enjoy travel which would be stressful for cats, so I imagine a small dog will suit your lifestyle great. I wish you both nothing but happiness.

Breeders don't NEED to breed their animals, they do it because of supply and demand. If someone's dog falls pregnant by accident that's different, but there are some crazy breeders out there who inbreed their animals to get 'the perfect' pet. And hats awful. If someone wants a specific breed then that's fine, but there are so many animals in shelters which will give you the same amount of love that a breeder animal will give you! I love daushaunds and your very lucky to have them. And we'll done for saving him from the breeder that wanted to kill him! But the fact that the breeder wanted to kill the puppy raises alarm bells!!

Ok so I NEVER watch Ingrid's videos but I clicked cos I saw a dog and love to know where TH-camrs get dogs from lmao, I gain massive respect for people who adopt. Anyway, seeing all the comments I went and watched the video talking about her cat (that I didn't even know she had before) and to ME the situation seems very reasonable and understandable. Ingrid specified that she didn't give Nugget away because she didn't have time. She also said that she was planing to get a new pet. So why are people complaining? Dogs do much better in boarding situations than cats, as some one who works at a rescue kennel I can vouch for that. If you owned a cat with your partner and you broke up, even if the cat was originally 'yours' if your partner gains more from the relationship with the cat then what's the problem? That's a comparable way I found this situation easy to understand at least

OMG TAYTO!!!!! You are the best for adopting a rescue!!! I've had 2 fosters off the kill line and they were the most amazing dogs I've ever met. There's something super special about the dogs that get that close to death - I think they know and appreciate life so much.

Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling with these stress issues as well and get heart palpitation regularly. My doctor made a huge blood test and also a cardiogram. Luckily everything is fine but he also told me that I can take magnesia to be safe, since it regulates the heart frequency. I've been taking fizzy tablets regularly and still sometimes feel the struggles. So having you tell me about this issue made me way more calm. Thank you so much! :)
I have been using Calm for about a year on and off. There are time when I get very overwhelmed and I have a warm cup of Calm and it brings me back to Zen.
These comments! In a previous video she shared that not being able to take care of Nugget wasn't the reason for giving him away. She saw how much her mom enjoyed Nugget's companionship so she decided to let her keep him.

I think she said in another video that her mom has nugget. She said they bonded and she basically gave nugget to her mom. I think its in her most recent life update video.
okay people in her q&a she said she was travelling so much in the last few years and every time she left nugget went to be with her mom. her mom and nugget have a bond which is why ingrid decided to give him to her mom a family member where she can still visit him. he is still in her family. she also said she planned on taking a step back from travelling and being away so much. although she said she was going to get a different cat she clearly ended up having a bond with this dog. so leave her be. she will make sure he has the best care when she is away.

Ingrid is the type of girl who goes with flow with who she is dating. Like Luke was into gaming so remember when she was all I love video games! League of legends! Then came that chris guys who is all about fitness and surfing. So Ingrid was like watch me work out at the beach! I'm a beach bum! Then came Hannah who is into food. Then Ingrid became a foodie watch me make recipes and was part of that whole Dysh App. Now her new gf has a dog so she got a dog. She recently said she wanted another cat but got a dog... on the plus side she did adopt from a shelter which is always awesome. All I know is that the pup will be in good hands. Either with her or her mom. Lol.

Linds M I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, she's just embracing/getting inspired by whoever she's dating. They can both enjoy and experience together, we've all been there, like giving a chance to listen to your partners favourite band or watching their favourite tv show, just to find common ground and who knows end up liking the same thing too!
When Ingrid was with Luke she was way younger and way less grown up than she is now, and was into the whole nerdy culture, especially since her friend group and Luke were all in the Harry Potter/nerd scene. Ingrid has always been into food and has been posting Cooking with Ingrid videos for years and even had cooking videos on other channels. I think that the people Ingrid surrounds herself with just bring different sides of herself to the forefront and they inspire her content, which is the only part of her that we actually get to see.
From a nursing/medical standpoint, I HIGHLY recommend getting your electrolytes (i.e. Magnesium) checked first before starting to supplement, because it's not the greatest idea to start taking supplements/drinks without knowing where your electrolytes are at first. Just a tip. Stay healthy y'all!
I use the calm as well. It works really great when you have leg pains. I first used it when I was in high school. I was wearing a pair of boots that go up your leg. They were way too tight and cutting off the circulation. I started feeling pains in my leg after wearing the boots for too long. I also was feeling pains while painting parts of the set in theatre. My massage therapist recommended it to me and I have used it ever since.

Plus, a dog that size can travel with. Cats (in my experience) tend to stress more on planes and are harder to acclimate to new surroundings. Dogs just go with the flow most of the time.
chemistryflavored - I have no idea if it works the same way with flying and I'm not a pet owner but in my experience travelling with other people's pets a dog is likely to be a bit confused, but seem view the whole thing as one big adventure if you travel with them as long as they're aware of where you are most of the time. Cats on the other hand react to the whole process like they're very shaken and don't want anything to do with it from the start, even if you're basically in direct contact with them most of the time. There are exceptions on both sides, of course, but that's just personal experience.
Oh this makes me nervous! I'm moving to another state later this year and may have to fly my cat with me. I'm glad they let you keep them near you as she gets anxiety a lot I'm just worried about how flying with be on her and hoping she won't cry the whole flight and bother everyone else.
I have a little red/cream rescue Pomi too- his name is Oakley. Poms really are the best! Mine is very quiet (cept when I come home!) loves cuddles as well, and follows me everywhere. 💕🦊
Oh yeah I've had severe magnesium deficiency as wel and the anxiety symptoms I had were completely new to me. My doctor was kind of offhand about it and so whenever I experience these symptoms right now I'm always doubting whether it's due to low magnesium ... but when I take supplements it always gets better. It's important to make sure you have a supplement that also includes vitamin D(3) though, otherwise your gut will still have problems absorbing it!
I have 2 Pomeranians and they are just the best companions!!! I have a girl and a boy and they couldn't be more different but I love them both. They are very smart and know how to get what they want.

Dogs are much easier to travel with, and given his size she will have no problem having him on board planes with her tucked in a carrier under her seat or even in her lap. I have a ragdoll cat and love him to bits, but he hates travel and cries the whole time. My pup however LIVES for it. So I get where shes coming from, and pets are such joys I imagine after giving Nugget to get mom she missed the daily company.

People are you serious? She adopted and saved a life. So what if she said she couldnt take care of Nugget because she travels a lot? OMG TAYTO!!!!! You are the best for adopting a rescue!!! I've had 2 fosters off the kill line and they were the most amazing dogs I've ever met. There's something super special about the dogs that get that close to death - I think they know and appreciate life so much.

Now that we have that out of the way, Why does ingrid get so much hate because she got a dog, Grace Helbig has a dog and travels just as much as Ingrid, whats the problem?? theres plenty of options ingrid has when she travels, she can take HER dog with her, let HER dog stay with a friend, or have HER dog go to boarding school. Either way its HER dog, HER life and HER decisions.

Her first pet that she left with her mom was her gecko. There is a trend with her leaving a pet with her mom and getting a new one. That is why people are giving her shit.

Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling with these stress issues as well and get heart palpitation regularly. My doctor made a huge blood test and also a cardiogram. Luckily everything is fine but he also told me that I can take magnesia to be safe, since it regulates the heart frequency. I've been taking fizzy tablets regularly and still sometimes feel the struggles. So having you tell me about this issue made me way more calm. Thank you so much! :)

These comments! In a previous video she shared that not being able to take care of Nugget wasn't the reason for giving him away. She saw how much her mom enjoyed Nugget's companionship so she decided to let her keep him.

I think she said in another video that her mom has nugget. She said they bonded and she basically gave nugget to her mom. I think its in her most recent life update video.

okay people in her q&a she said she was travelling so much in the last few years and every time she left nugget went to be with her mom. her mom and nugget have a bond which is why ingrid decided to give him to her mom a family member where she can still visit him. he is still in her family. she also said she planned on taking a step back from travelling and being away so much. although she said she was going to get a different cat she clearly ended up having a bond with this dog. so leave her be. she will make sure he has the best care when she is away.

Ingrid is the type of girl who goes with flow with who she is dating. Like Luke was into gaming so remember when she was all I love video games! League of legends! Then came that chris guys who is all about fitness and surfing. So Ingrid was like watch me work out at the beach! I'm a beach bum! Then came Hannah who is into food. Then Ingrid became a foodie watch me make recipes and was part of that whole Dysh App. Now her new gf has a dog so she got a dog. She recently said she wanted another cat but got a dog... on the plus side she did adopt from a shelter which is always awesome. All I know is that the pup will be in good hands. Either with her or her mom. Lol.

Linds M I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, she's just embracing/getting inspired by whoever she's dating. They can both enjoy and experience together, we've all been there, like giving a chance to listen to your partners favourite band or watching their favourite tv show, just to find common ground and who knows end up liking the same thing too!
When Ingrid was with Luke she was way younger and way less grown up than she is now, and was into the whole nerdy culture, especially since her friend group and Luke were all in the Harry Potter/nerd scene. Ingrid has always been into food and has been posting Cooking with Ingrid videos for years and even had cooking videos on other channels. I think that the people Ingrid surrounds herself with just bring different sides of herself to the forefront and they inspire her content, which is the only part of her that we actually get to see.
From a nursing/medical standpoint, I HIGHLY recommend getting your electrolytes (i.e. Magnesium) checked first before starting to supplement, because it's not the greatest idea to start taking supplements/drinks without knowing where your electrolytes are at first. Just a tip. Stay healthy y'all!

Oh my gosh, Tayto is love at first sight! I just legitimately started crying and I don't know why.
I use the calm as well. It works really great when you have leg pains. I first used it when I was in high school. I was wearing a pair of boots that go up your leg. They were way too tight and cutting off the circulation. I started feeling pains in my leg after wearing the boots for too long. I also was feeling pains while painting parts of the set in theatre. My massage therapist recommended it to me and I have used it ever since.

Plus, a dog that size can travel with. Cats (in my experience) tend to stress more on planes and are harder to acclimate to new surroundings. Dogs just go with the flow most of the time.
chemistryflavored - I have no idea if it works the same way with flying and I'm not a pet owner but in my experience travelling with other people's pets a dog is likely to be a bit confused, but seem view the whole thing as one big adventure if you travel with them as long as they're aware of where you are most of the time. Cats on the other hand react to the whole process like they're very shaken and don't want anything to do with it from the start, even if you're basically in direct contact with them most of the time. There are exceptions on both sides, of course, but that's just personal experience.
Oh this makes me nervous! I'm moving to another state later this year and may have to fly my cat with me. I'm glad they let you keep them near you as she gets anxiety a lot I'm just worried about how flying with be on her and hoping she won't cry the whole flight and bother everyone else.

I have a little red/cream rescue Pomi too- his name is Oakley.
Poms really are the best! Mine is very quiet (cept when I come home!) loves cuddles as well, and follows me everywhere. 💕🦊
Oh yeah I've had severe magnesium deficiency as wel and the anxiety symptoms I had were completely new to me. My doctor was kind of offhand about it and so whenever I experience these symptoms right now I'm always doubting whether it's due to low magnesium ... but when I take supplements it always gets better. It's important to make sure you have a supplement that also includes vitamin D(3) though, otherwise your gut will still have problems absorbing it!
I have 2 Pomeranians and they are just the best companions!!! I have a girl and a boy and they couldn't be more different but I love them both. They are very smart and know how to get what they want.

Dogs are much easier to travel with, and given his size she will have no problem having him on board planes with her tucked in a carrier under her seat or even in her lap. I have a ragdoll cat and love him to bits, but he hates travel and cries the whole time. My pup however LIVES for it. So I get where shes coming from, and pets are such joys I imagine after giving Nugget to get mom she missed the daily company.

She made a Q&A about Nugget for some time ago. I think she said she had giving Nugget to,her mom, because she felt lonely and was started to see hm as her companion, so Ingrid gave him to her to make her happy... It's something like that, you can always find then Q&A and see it yourself :-)
I'm sure she can leave Tayto with her girlfriend if she's going to be going on a business trip. I don't think we can determine if something is "more trouble than its worth" when we aren't Ingrid and have no idea if she thinks its worth it or not.

People are you serious? She adopted and saved a life. So what if she said she couldnt take care of Nugget because she travels a lot? Maybe she knows that she will be settled for a long time in where ever she is now. Or maybe she knows somebody to take care of the dog when she is away. She said that she gave Nugget to her mom because they are fund of each other. Maybe during that time, that was the thing she had to do for the best of everybody. And now the situation has changed and she is the reason that two beautiful animals are alive and happy because of her. Stop talking shit about her. She is one of the most honest and kind and down to earth youtubers ever since she started. I have been watching her since 2013 and she is not a person to bash about like that.
