It’s somewhat funny and interesting that in the English and Japanese versions of _Kingdom Hearts III_ respectively we have a different Organization XIII member voicing Davy Jones: Robin Atkin Downes the voice of Luxord in the English version and Hochu Otsuka the voice of Xigbar in the Japanese version.
Fighting Davy Jones is another epic moment in this game, and the way they recreated the final battle scenes from At World’s End in this game is just so impressive!! And Robin Atkins Downes as both Luxord and Davy Jones in this game is impressive too!!
I’m happy that Davy Jones is fought as a boss and he didn’t went the same fate as Randall and CLU. As for Beckett, I’m perfectly okay not battling him considering in the films Beckett doesn’t rely on fighting and only has his soldiers of the East Indian Trading Company, his hitman Mercer, and Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman (until Jones Death after the heart was stabbed) doing the dirty work. Although it’s unusual that the crew of the Flying Dutchman and Bootstrap Bill have been written out entirely for the Caribbean considering Bootstrap was mentioned in _Kingdom Hearts II_ and the Dutchman Crew would’ve been interesting Disney enemies for Sora to fight against in the Caribbean considering while they are immortal in the films and can’t be killed as they are bound to the Dutchman’s Curse, the Keyblade has magic properties that isn’t from their world and could’ve instantly destroyed them much like the Cursed Skeleton Pirates in KH2 were immune to normal attacks and can’t be killed but were vulnerable to the keyblade when under the moonlight.
Cheers Everglow for the birthday upload! This will always be my favourite world from KH3 for a variety of reasons. I loved seeing Sora’s emotions, Jack is supportive towards Sora and there is genuine fondness there too and the boss battle was a lot of fun too. Have a great new year too Everglow!

@JabamiLain. I'd argue it makes perfect sense given a straight up beating heart isn't exactly of any use to a guy like Vexen who works with a completely different kind of heart. (The capital H kind.) For example, a beating heart is pretty useless to a Replica if you think about it.
@JabamiLainactually it does make sense: at this point in the story Vexen is trying to develop his replicas to perfection to achieve the return of Roxas and Xion and atone for his past sins. Maybe he believed Davy Jones’ chest contained something that would help him to that end, but this wasn’t the case and he considers his stay in the Caribbean world a waste of time.
Although I don’t know how they would include it, but I would like to Sora’s reaction to Davy Jones’ actual blood-pumping heart. Davy Jones: YOU COULD DO NOTHING WITHOUT THE KEY!!! Sora: *dramatically gasps* OH NO!😱 *Immediately taps on the Dead Man’s Chest with the Keyblade to unlock it* Davy Jones: 😨😨😨 Sora: Alright! We got the hea….. *sees an actual bloody heart still beating* Sora: 😨😰🤢*immediately runs towards the side of the ship…where Luxord is hanging on to the side* Luxord: Ugh..That wretched stench. This is the first time I've noticed this inconsistency, but at minute 28:09 Goofy and Donald do a Fist Bump, but then in San Fransokyo they don't even know what it is... lol 🤣🤣🤣
@@thelonestar5327. It might be like how Sora doesn't really know what the concept of death is until it's namedropped near the end of KH3 by Ven's Chirithy: Like he understands the motions, but not what it is. (That or it's just miscommunication within the writing team.)
Might be an odd way around it, but one possibility could be that if one plays san fransokyo before the carribean, its like they would've known what it was after doing so with baymax. Considering too how some worlds take place before others timeline wise, that's my best reason for that.
Sora Donald & goofy throwing hands on Davy Jones is one of my favorite moments in the series so unexpected. Also I find it funny and kind of weird how the gummi squad are happy they just killed a whole bunch of men in that last ship shootout this is wild 😂 lastly I really like this world but I wish they had some secret bosses not just the ships like all these islands could have something more
I'm willing to bet the team had more planned, but either ran out of time, budget, manpower, or all three before that could happen. (Although most of the Heartless being ships makes perfect sense for obvious reasons.)
While I loved this world it's a shame they skiped most of the movie and left Sora, Donald and Goofy in the background. Not only that, but part of me wished they included FF pirate characters in this world like Bikke and Faris Scherwiz.
A lot of "Kingdom Hearts" storyline reminds me of DC's multiverse aspect, specifically, the origins of it all. If MoM is the Anti-Monitor, what does that make Sora ? Kairi seems to be the Harbinger, while Riku is the Monitor.
And on top of that the Kraken should be dead, that Kraken was revealed to have died at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, And at the beginning of Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End, the corpse of the Kraken appears in a scene

Regardless, KH is no stranger to changing up some parts of the source material or even leaving out some characters entirely so it's ultimately moot. (In fact, this has been done since KH1 with examples like Deep Jungle, Halloween Town, Agrabah to an extent, take your pick.)

It got such secondhand embarrassment from Sora randomly attacking Davy Jones with his bare hands, that it took me a while to realise he's meant to be filling Bootstrap Bill's role in this scene.
Definitely one of the stronger worlds in KH3, not just the action and exploitability, but the interactions with the cast of the movie as well. I still think i would've like a bit more interaction between them all but given the plot of the movie and time contrains it would've been difficult.
Since City of Heros is the coming world, I have a question. Does Naminé have the potential to become a Watcher ? Personally, I think she not only has the power, she has the mindset as well. Or maybe a Witch as powerful as the Scarlet Witch ? POVs are literal power thanks to the Keyblade wielders, and I want to believe she'll grow more ambitious. Ahhhh...Arcs that could be, for when the main one gets tiresome and gives nothing to look forward to, like in "KH 3" case.
There was a challenge I wanted to try out here . I thought I could try to glide all around the ocean area of the Caribbean without touching the water . But I was very wrong and it’s impossible to do it . This is why I wish that Sora had superglide from dream drop distance .
Elizabeth and Will forgot to tell Sora she's the one who proposed the capture, in return to trade Will, after Jack sent Will. I HATE how this is the world that most pampers him. This world that I love exactly for its manipulations and chess game ambience.

@JabamiLain. Honestly, I'm not really bothered by these kinds of writing hiccups; The mere sight of Sora straight up punching Davy Jones is more than entertaining for me. (Maybe it's to match the tone of the world? Others have mentioned that maybe it's the other three hearts within Sora [Roxas, Xion, and Ventus] doing this, but I'm less confident on that front.) Alternatively, this might be to foreshadow Sora's mental state by the end of KH3. This is one of only a few times in the series where he loses his cool entirely, and the Keyblade Graveyard is not long after the Caribbean is done.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 he lost his cool in "Chain of Memories" too, and he kept his Keyblade. In "KH 2", same thing at Hollow Bastion. The only explanation I can find is that since he searched his way through his unconsciousness' darkness to bring the other 3 out, that could have affected his connection to the Keyblade somehow, especially when he's this angry. But frankly, seeing him take Rage form, or revert back to Anti-Form would have been a much more enjoyable experience for me.

So tiresome that you can't stop talking about it. Wait a minute... Jokes aside, no, I don't think Namine is even close to that of the Watcher or even Scarlet Witch; Those two are in a completely different league. Plus, Namine doesn't really strike me as a super ambitious character: Outside of her whole thing with Sora's memories, she seems more the kind of person to just chill at times and not really care about multiversal strength.

There was a challenge I wanted to try out here . I thought I could try to glide all around the ocean area of the Caribbean without touching the water . But I was very wrong and it’s impossible to do it . This is why I wish that Sora had superglide from dream drop distance .

Why did his anger have him forget his Keyblade ? That never happened before. Not even back at Castle Oblivion, when he was at his lowest.

@JabamiLain. Honestly, I'm not really bothered by these kinds of writing hiccups; The mere sight of Sora straight up punching Davy Jones is more than entertaining for me. (Maybe it's to match the tone of the world? Others have mentioned that maybe it's the other three hearts within Sora [Roxas, Xion, and Ventus] doing this, but I'm less confident on that front.)
Alternatively, this might be to foreshadow Sora's mental state by the end of KH3. This is one of only a few times in the series where he loses his cool entirely, and the Keyblade Graveyard is not long after the Caribbean is done.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 he lost his cool in "Chain of Memories" too, and he kept his Keyblade. In "KH 2", same thing at Hollow Bastion. The only explanation I can find is that since he searched his way through his unconsciousness' darkness to bring the other 3 out, that could have affected his connection to the Keyblade somehow, especially when he's this angry.
But frankly, seeing him take Rage form, or revert back to Anti-Form would have been a much more enjoyable experience for me.

Since City of Heros is the coming world, I have a question. Does Naminé have the potential to become a Watcher ? Personally, I think she not only has the power, she has the mindset as well. Or maybe a Witch as powerful as the Scarlet Witch ? POVs are literal power thanks to the Keyblade wielders, and I want to believe she'll grow more ambitious.
Ahhhh...Arcs that could be, for when the main one gets tiresome and gives nothing to look forward to, like in "KH 3" case.

Jokes aside, no, I don't think Namine is even close to that of the Watcher or even Scarlet Witch; Those two are in a completely different league. Plus, Namine doesn't really strike me as a super ambitious character: Outside of her whole thing with Sora's memories, she seems more the kind of person to just chill at times and not really care about multiversal strength.

Also, you're SERIOUSLY underestimating her. Sora is friends with EVERYONE in the universe. She can manipulate EVERYONE's memories. Plus, "KH" universe isn't completely material. It's mostly made of magical elements held together by Light, Dark and Nothing. Even people's bodies work that way. Naminé didn't exactly get time to train her powers. We still don't know what else she can do with such a magically non-solid universe at her disposal, where belief is the ultimate word.
