If you wanna go full on stealth you have to remove the guns and shields (witch both you dont need and use anyways) what it does is reduces your detection rate drasticly. My friend couldnt see my eclipse until i was 3km away from him. Npcs cant too you can fly close to around 8km let them conpletly spawn until they are red. Then you literally just snipe them and they cant react to it bcus they cant see you. Only downside is that the torp sometimes miss if you aim poorly and the server lags.

but why not just turning them off? Is removal really nessesary?
@@biotechisgodzilla turning them off will reduce the detection rate by a big amount but removing the guns and shields completly reduces the amount even more.
Yup. This Wiki has a bit more information on IR/EM and Cross Section and how it impacts Steath. starcitizen.tools/Ship_emissions
Removing guns does reduce EM and IR, but the highest value on an Eclipse is still CS, something like 9000, and does not change. This is why the Eclipse is usually picked up by NPCs at around 5-6km. I’ve tried turning off shields and slowly coming in - not effect on detection.

Excellent video on the Eclipse. Another bit of advice, especially for those working up to the ERTs, is to simply claim your ship via the ASOP rather than rearming. Provided of course you don't mind a short wait, it's a fair bit cheaper to expedite the ship claim than to rearm the 3 torps.

Sorry new. If you claim the ship it comes back armed? So you just self destruct after the bounties are completed?

The shots are gorgeous, your voiceover's clear, but I was totally thrown off by the very loud and weird 80s porn music during transitions (at 1:32 and 3:19). - Could just do a straight cut to the next section, since you have everything beautifully timestampted as well.

The Eclipse was my 2nd Purchase in the game. I love myself a good stealth bomber and this lil bad boy does it in spades now that stealth is working. I do though miss the old (admittedly way OP) days of the size nine torps having the maneuverability of the size 1 missiles. I have though become more of an industry player over the years. With the MOLE being my main money maker, and eventually the Orion should it ever come to fruition as well as the Pioneer... imaginary ships for now, but I hope to play with them one day lol.

The wings are supposed to tuck into each other and change depending on atmosphere or not, that doesn't work, just like 95% of all advertised features for ships or the game itself. I really wanted to love this game but everyone was right. They aren't selling a game, they are selling ideas that will most likely never see the light of day. Thats why people are waiting for ships they paid for 10 years ago.
Would be really cool to fly a stealth ship in a game that had actual stealth mechanics.
Good video man! I was thinking on getting an eclipse for erts but I guess I'll just stick to my Connie as the rearming fee doesn't seem worth it for me because I can already do Erts on the Connie in 13 to 15 mins.

Thanks for the video. I recently bought an Eclipse and successfully completed 6 ERT missions w/ one-shot kills and quickly realized that it's actually more boring than Quant mining in my Mole. I'm not sure that I'll be buying one again once I have enough to do so. Can't you just rearm at the nearest mining station? They're often closer.

the problem with the Bounty hunting missions is that most of them are NOT in space, but at a glitched cave somewhere or a crashed ship... anything but in space, therefore...
I was very tempted to upgrade my Sentinel to this ship during the IAE event, but after my experience with the Ares Ion, I felt sure the Eclipse was going to get nerfed.
Always a risk of nerf but thankfully you can grab it in game to avoid that risk. :)
I don't think it's going to be nerfed as it is doing what it is designed to do, which is being a stealth bomber with big torpedoes. The problem isn't the ship but rather the lack of countermeasures in the game right now, such as ship abilities that can detect the bomber before it comes to close (Terrapin for example)

I don't know if he will be nerfed, since if he is nerfed he becomes useless, he is very fragile for a direct combat, and the damage of his guns does not compensate for his fragility!

I loaded Typhoons IX torps and they are sucks! You can’t lock them! You have to go super close to shoot and still the torps flies past the target below… just newer but them 😂
how did you rank up crusader bounty target reputation on eclipse, if VL targets fly small ships which IX torpedoes cant lock on to?
I ranked up fully using the eclipse, eclipse has guns but you can use whatever you prefer. I had no issues locking them when I last used it but it’s been a while.

My eclipse doesn't let me equip my Seeker IXs, any ideas why? In storage on the planet and have 3 S. IXs in local storage as well
Be certain to remove the default ones. The default ones need to be taken off first so you can place the Seekers. The UI can be a little funky with it.
Ty for ur tips but I was told I should fire at 1500m and they always hit. Now I wanted to ask if I was pushing luck or was that a good strategy.
It sounds like your using the Argos S9 missiles, which has 1000m lock range. So releasing at 1500m is the same principle as releasing at 3-4k as shown in the video using Seeker IX. As long as it hits, that is the goal. Since I am using Seeker IX's they have a minimum lock range of 2600m I can not get any closer to the target to do that. :)

As long as your below 500m/s you should be fine. They travel at 500m/s so you don’t want to be equal it as you could hit yourself. So best to be slower so it fires and moves ahead of you.

Im not being offered group warrant missions, or the mission to unlock group warrants, no mater the area, any fix to this, very annoying?
Once your at MRT Go to Crusader, take the Pro Tem group bounty contract if it spawns. If your reputation/bounty rank is high enough. I might look into a rep guide video to aid this.

I only managed to buy one a few weeks ago and now have qualified for erts. It’s an easy money maker as long as you don’t get within 5km, but feels a bit cheesy and too easy to make cash

Can you do the same shenanigans with Retaliator?
The Retaliator Bomber, for sure I've done it before. Though its not really stealthy. Having 6 Torpedo's, instead of 3, can really speed up earnings. Or simply prevent the need to re-arm if you miss as you have extra.
@@TheHavocide Does Stealth mechanics even work currently? In a couple patch the stealth components didn´t have a meaningfull impact to your detection range so im just wondering that do you need to launch the payload in a same range 3-4km as the Eclipse or do you need to drop em abit earlier like 5+km?
I always aim for 3.5 in between the 3-4km.
It’s just my preference. The aim is to prevent them from having any time to respond but you can certainly find what works for you.
As for stealth. If we’re getting as close as 3km without being shot at we must be doing something right. :D
I am no expert though! Just love playing so test as you see fit with the fittings. It’s just what works for me :)
I just realized as a new player with very low targets I’d earn 12000 for 3 and would lose 12500 for rearm and refuel…

Currently it’s not possible to rent but you can certainly earn the cash quick enough by running Daymar cave or quantanium mining. You can even run bounties using other combat ships to.
It really depends on what you prefer doing. :)

I am bad at flying, let alone ship combat :P though you should enjoy my next mission guide video then for sure!
I am remaking the Clear Criminal Nest Mission guide which is FPS and Daymar Cave. Plenty of AUEC to be made there! (Up to 300k with a good run!) and only takes 10-15 minutes.

Aye that bug can be somewhat frustrating. I have to claim the ship usually to resolve that one,
Yeah been experiencing that bug since buying a few weeks ago, very annoying
Thats why i set my respawn point at grim hex and destroy my ship when i shot all my torps. I got a tali so i just switch them out while the other is claiming
Still the fastest money in the game. Takes a while to grind out that much cash to get the eclipse though. But once you have it. All your money troubles are over
I managed to earn near 3.2 million Auec last night in two hours via salvage missions. I think it is a solid contender to faster earning than running bounties. Il be making a video on it soon. But bounties is certainly more fun.

@@loadnlock357 I took my caterpillar out and did the 30k illegal missions. 2 and a bit hours later to sell yielded what I mentioned. :) praying for no 30ks of course.
Stealth is not a thing in the game yet. Switching the modules does not work...

Remember...
Youll make 87k if you already have the s9 missles
But if you have to buy missles every time for 12k a pop, 36k for 3. Your only making around 51k per run
Restocking fee is 12k for all 3 missiles. Not per missile. :) or you can reclaim the ship cheaper than that and wait the timer.
