I met Mark last night after their gig in Melbourne and he chatted with the swarm of fans around him, shook hands, signed CDs and posed for countless photos. And this is after playing like a beast for two hours. An absolute gentleman and an amazing talent.
Thanks for posting this video!!! I think that this was during the time of their most productive musical creativity. I really miss the Stuart and the band.
big country were the 1st group that i really became a fan of.they were also the 1st concerts i went to,1 was at the liverpool university and then at the liverpool empire.sadly missed.
What a coincidence.... BC was the first and only concert I went to when they were in the Netherlands. After that I never went to any concert again, apart from Anastacia, which was the choice of my partner, not mine......
@MobiusBandwidth it needs to be shared...with all the celeb crap going on nowadays...true/real/ passionate music needs to be heard/reheard! thanx for watching!
Thank You So Much Kiara! Will upload more when i get the chance...just wanna share what i've got...loads was given to me; just want others to get 'that feeling' when they see/hear 'rareish' stuff; there's tons of BC stuff i'm wanting to still see/hear...and this is 1 of the best places to get it! Wishing you everything you wish me and more..have a Fantastic Xmas. Stay Alive Amanda
It must of been shortly after this time that things began to unravel a bit within in the band and within Stuart....coincides with the his desires to work with Nashville song writers and musicians, and Bruce, Mark and Tony were left to do what they wanted but ponder the future of Big Country. I don't know this to be true, but gotta wonder if Nashville leaches took advantage of Stuart in some regards.....
He was off the wagon before he left his wife and ran off to Amerika. His 2nd marriage was going off the rails due to the drink. ?He was in rough shape on their last tour as well. Tony said the last show they did was pretty sad and he'd decided, and told Stu, that they needed to shut down the band so Stu could get it under control. Butler said he was surprised and worried when Stu bailed on is wife and kids and cut off from his entire support network.
Gawd; he was gorgeous...inside and out. :-(
Miss you, Stu.
