My mom loved roses and tea cups...she collected them for many years. I am lucky to have several . She taught 6th grade for 35 years and as she aged, many of her "favorite" and closest students kept in touch with her and would visit often. She would give a cup and saucer to many of them...and they are still cherished. My daughter's mother-in-law is a collector...there is a lot more to collecting them than I had ever thought. Yours are darling!!

You should drink out of your tea cups. That's part of the enjoyment of having them. On Sundays I used to always use a tea cup and saucer to drink from. It just made every sip more special. I need to start that again. I just love watching you and seeing what you will show us next. ☕🇺🇸

Catherine I so glad I found this video. I collect tea pot too but I don’t have as many as you do. I am not a coffee drinker but I love my tea. I also have tea cups that I have found that I love. In 1996 one of my best friends and I traveled to England for seven days . One of the reasons I wanted to be there was to buy a set of Royal Albert Old Country Roses China. I could have bought them here in the US but I really wanted to buy them in England. I bought them in a mall in Stoke on Trent. They shipped them to my home, if I remember right in about three weeks. I still have the bill of sale. The set has the glassware and service for eight. There are two tea pots with the set, one is smaller and the other one is a little bigger. Your house is like a little doll house and it fits you to a tea 🫖. 🥰

I've enjoyed all your videos. Your so adorable and sweet! I too, collected tea cups and tea pots and my love for them rubbed off on my mother. We do use them. Having tea with them not matching is so much fun! Each person gets to choose their tea cup. It makes for a special tea time with family or friends. :)

I also love China sets, your home is beautiful. I lived in Belfast with my Granny she always had her wee china cup, I do too.
Your house is just stunning. I don't think there's one thing that I don't like. I've been wanting to paint my fireplace, but painting over wood, is the HARDEST thing for me! My style is sort of eclectic English country cottage with a bit of shabby chic thrown in. So most of my furniture is dark mahogany. I have a couple of antiques, so painting them is really scary...you're a much braver woman than I am, for sure! Love your videos...they're helping me get braver about just PAINTING!
I have my own teacup collection but not displayed as beautiful as yours is I am really loving this channel so relaxing and so lovely and of course dainty

I have been checking all day to see when you have loaded this video...it's so pretty and your my soulmate for tea cups and tea pots...lol. I have to get a cabinet for my cups and tea pots...and display them instead of keeping them tucked away in my cupboards....I do use my every other day...there are some I don't use..they are so brittle...so happy to see this...have a great day.🤗

Catherine, you are a girl after my own heart. I too love china and can't wait till I have my home in Ireland. You have some beautiful stuff and I love that your home is bright and airy. Hello Catherine! I absolutely love your collection! I too love teapots and teacups, as well as little miniature things. When I was little, they had these little tiny, tiny dolls called Kiddles that I absolutely loved, and I took it everywhere with me, LOL. Loved your collection. I collect only Theodore Haviland China pieces. Hard to overlook other beautiful pieces but must stay true to the collection. Do have six gorgeous Royal Garden mugs I picked up in Canada many years ago that are my exception.

Such a beautiful collection.my granny had the entire collection of the old rose royal Albert collection but bc my granny lived for a while with my aunt b4 she passed away my aunt gave the entire collection to my cousin ( lucky girl ) not just bc it is now worth an absolute fortune but bc it is such a beautiful heirloom and reminder of our granny.

I love Royal Albert you have some beautiful cups . I made a small tilda doll that sirs in a tea cup and I placed a cup cake spoon in her arms so I understand your love of them

I love your collections. I too collect tea cups and teapots. When my youngest turned 3 she’s 19 now we did a whole tea party theme. I went to lots of thrifts stores for all the cups and saucers. So I could give each girl her own and not worry if they dropped it an broke it. I don’t have a lot of fancy but I do love what I have.

Huge inhaling gasp!!! You are my Tea & China Soulmate! Been loving it since young looking at Grandma's Tea Service in China Cabinet that Mom now has and Grandpa always had Herbal Tea Growing in the side yard and Black Tea Brewing. I'm a Little TeaPot & Beauty and the Beast inspired me, too! We have Tea Parties (& I listen to Tea Party) and are starting Poet & Artist TeaTime this homeschool year. Also love teensies, pinks & blues, florals, decorating, and meows & woofs!
Have you read “Jewels of the sun”? The main character goes to Ireland & stays in a cute cottage with little nik naks set about. I fell in love with the story & Ireland & cottages... Nora Roberts is the author & she writes a lot of stories set in Ireland.
I have a full set of pink depression glass & cherish it. I bought it right after I moved into our home. After that we “needed” to buy a large glass front cabinet for our dining room to display it. I would love to sit about in your home & just enjoy everything. 💞

Tyfs the tips!! It's hard here because I think people collect the same things as I do. It's really hard to find. I haven't given up. I love the pink and the roses. I bought my mother in law one from Bradford Exchange. It was the Saucier and tea cup. On The Bottom they have the engraving of the sets name and an actual number. I don't know what that means but they are actual tea cups but more for collecting. every piece they make has a 'firing' number. Like an art piece. everything I have bought from them has a number and a name And they really have set the bar high. Lovely to chat with you. So lovely to see your beautiful collection. I had a kind of similar experience that you did with the cat teapot. My grandmother had a big ranch where they raised hay for other farmers. So her style was pretty much ranch. As an adult I started collecting teacups. I probably had about 24. When my grandmother died, my mom found a box of another 20+ teacups her mom had collected. I was shocked. I'd never seen them at their ranch when we were there just about every weekend or as a young adult. So it was a wonderful surprise to get all her teacups. I also got her set of Spode, Rosebud Chintz dishes and teacups. There's a website called "Replacements" where you can collect and complete all kinds of China sets. I have the Rosebud Chintz Teapot and Cocoa/Coffeepot. They are in pristine condition.
