Your bucket potato saga was quite depressing if I were to be honest. Do as much research as possible, keep the numbers right in the dirt, don't try to grow in 100% sand, and you might do well
Baby goats and pygmys are my favories. Mini donkeys and mini horses. Little pigs too! I love farm animals...okay...I love all animals except alligators, crocodiles, venomous snakes (i actually like the non venomous ones) and spiders! I hate all spiders except little jumping spiders as long they don't jump on me😉
Greenhouse is the best thing you can have when you're out in the middle of nowhere and there's lots of critters or if you have chickens or something like that, it keeps the critters out if you have all your vegetables in the greenhouse.
Mike, hope this helps with measurements in design. I used hog panels (at that time cheaper) my measures at the widest is only 59 " & 78 " high. I can only place one row, I'm 5'4" tall & have room for only a 24" bed in order to get around. Two panels connected is 68" long
I look forward to seeing how you develop your homestead. It doesn't seem like much to graze on there so a cow or horse would probably require you to grow a lot of hay and corn or buy a lot of feed. Watermelons love sandy soil.
I really like your lay out as you describe! Horses are my 2nd favorite animal, dogs are first & people unfortunately aren’t in my top 10! Look into getting a donkey? They are fierce defenders & protectors of other domestic animals! Plus donkeys have a longer life expectancy!
Cooking with Mike; First youtube video to start my day. Love the humor and the twist on a classic breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed the garden tips, too. 😊 * If you adopt a dog from a shelter, you save a life as many shelters only hold the animals for a few days before they kill them. 😢😢
I think you should build an earthship home. Include a greenhouse to help heat it. Please stop buying that nasty cheese. My heart hurts for you eating that stuff.
My wife and I were actually invited to the Hell's Kitchen dining room as they were filming. This was in Vegas when they were there. The answer is YES!!..... YES, it IS as cool as it looks on TV and YES YES YES, it was the BEST food I've ever had!!! THIS should be a bucket list thing for ANYONE!!
Yes, 6 ft is to short. I have a 'green house' made out of 'hog panels' bent and held by 2'x 6' timbers..with raised beds on 3 sides. This is a very practical design as a shed, garage, etc. I covered mine in the winter with heavy gauge plastic. Yrs later since I didn't use treated timber lying in dirt, it dissolved, but the wire frame is still in great shape. Having rain gutter to catch your run off rain water and raised barrels to have access to water is smart. Using the same design will also make a good chicken coop, keep in mind chicken pens have to be covered, even over the tree to prevent predator hawks , and natural ground predators will show up with the possibility of a chicken dinner. I have far to many hens to both and learned the hard way.
I bought a Blue Diamond griddle after I saw you use your skillet. I like it. It works pretty good. It's a beautiful sandwich 🥪 Too bad if others don't like it. They aren't eating it. It looks good to me. 😊
You have that hat in the middle of no where Impressive sir impressive lol, If you wanna keep preditors away tie beer can or your choice of empty cans with rocks in the trees hanging. It scares them and alerts you.
Chef Mike well done , chickens and a garden would be a great addition, I’d start with chickens 🐓,cheaper than all the supplies needed to get a garden. 🙏🏻🇺🇸🐓
The wild life always ruined my gardens. Doing raised beds helped me.❤
I love your videos! Thank you for posting !
You are so welcome! Thanks for the SuperComment!

Raised beds - YES. Put the arched cattle panels in raised beds for the height.
Syco Mike! 😂🤣
Might be a good idea to build a large cover over the RV to shade it in the summer and use as water catchment for the garden water!

Start off small or uite waste time n energy n funds

Love cooking with Mike!
Water melons and cantaloupe love sandy ground. Pumpkins and squash may do good there.
I like Herdez salsa on mine !

Sounds like some really good ideas. I live in central Arizona. I'm hoping to get some gardening ideas from you. Best of luck for the New Year to come
You got me cracking up.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year
Good morning. Thank you, Mike.
Dig down about 4 feet then build from there, you'll have a steady temp in the winter and cooler in summer also
There our soil treatments that help lessen the water needed for the garden. Best wishes!

Must put a tall fence around everything so animals that are there won't completely destroy your garden..
Breakfast looked fantastic!👍
Thanks, I had a lot of fun making it!
