This feels like halfway between the 80s and the 2000s, which is exactly what it is. Lots of Ab Fab moments.

I've always liked Janet, but I can see she was way out of her depth with this project. She showed no professionalism, or positivity, throughout.

I think she was herself throughout? She had the support of Monty and she launched the channel with great enthusiasm and clearly inspired the team around her by just being different to the usual suits who run TV stations.
She's not an "easy" person to deal with, but she had a clear vision of what she wanted for the channel. She also knew when to stand back and let others do their thing.
She just wanted to get things done instead of being polite! She needed the channel to look as good as poss from the off so as it would attract advertisers and start making money.
I suppose you think she should have been more polite and more understanding about the tech failures, but that's not the spirit that gets things done.

They all. worked very hard. Just seems frenetic and geared to the one second attention span demographic. There is much more to news and entertainment than diversity, bad clothes and bright colors. IMO
