1999-2000 our high school Wrestling coach started sending the “Wrestlers” to off season training at the local D2 wrestling room. The kids that took part in that program came back next fall and where destroying the Multi Sport seniors that thought they where going to be Varsity. Now everybody’s doing it , if you’re striving for greatness!
Our freestyle facility was just a few miles away from my school. Had I had a car in high school I would have totally trained with them during the off-season and been a completely different and better wrestler.
It’s terms of getting better it was definitely henry who paved the way. Burroughs has the better resume but when henry was 19 and an Olympic champ, at the same age Jordan wasn’t even starting at Nebraska yet
@@ryanmercier3791 yeah but he is no where near as impactful as burroughs, look at what butroughs produced for america, crazy depth at 74 which overfilled into other weight classes which made everyone better
@@chrislaverick6413 agreed. I missed a word there I meant in terms of getting better at a younger age Henry had a greater impact. Overall Burroughs had the greater impact

He actually hurt USA wrestling. One and done. Our best team we’re in 1988 and 1992? Why? Cause the wrestlers stuck around? Right. From 1994 to 2917 USA wrestling was taking a back seat to other countries. Since 2018 USA has seen wrestlers stick around and we’re rteastablishing USA Dominance
What he’s done in 2 different sports is truly inspiring. Say what you want about his “cringe” but his credentials are undeniable
His cringe is so strong I sometimes think it may be on purpose.

Once he became ccc he was much more comfortable and natural with his deliveries, it was a great career move for him

Ryan from WCML hit a home run with that podcast. But don’t forget that his Smith doc and Brandon Slay docs are great too
King Henry like a Boss!

I'm surprised his olympic matches are not online yet!! The man's a HOF
I think he's going to become the best MMA coach too.
You Magicfrijoles are Henry's Brah Anhell. Hah.
Henry did? If anything i would think burroughs morphed usa wrestling into what it is today

Too fast too soon, they are still kids. You have to remember that.
If you want to be great, then you have to be more than just another kid.

You need to show clips of Henry's wrestling instead of just you talking.
The man! Dam, right that Mexican changed the game! Came from nothing!
