Totally agree with the first statement. The reason the mob made so much money and grew during prohibition was because the gov't made it impossible to get something people wanted. Whenever an obstacle is put in front of people, other people find a way to make money creating shortcuts. The takeaway shouldn't be that the flippers broke the rules. It should be that the permitting system needs an overhaul. My question is this - why is the process so slow? Is it intentionally slow to keep development in check? Is it slow because of inefficiency? In NY, my experience with the permitting process is that it could take 3-6 months, easily. Years? That's rare.
My neighbors remodeling have been waiting a year for permits. Out of state buying 1 house down get expedited permits in a few months. Nothing suspicious I'm sure.
You should have read the whole article or “hit piece” as you called it. It has the numbers you were talking about. You dont need a permit for floors or cabnets and its not $1500 its $10,000 for repairs. You kinda just spit some false facts to fit your realtor flipper narrative. Ngl lost a little respect for you there.😐 Repairs worth less than $10,000 Plumbing and electrical repairs if they’re worth less than $2,500 Remodeling that does not involve the relocation of rooms Painting, cabinetry, countertop work, floor coverings and replacement of windows or doors
@@illmaticmonk808 did you not catch the part where I said I will read the article and respond in full. I don’t have a realtor flipper narrative. Last time i talked to those “celebs” we clashed because I called them, put them on speaker, and destroyed their sales scripts as they were trying to acquire my friend’s grandma’s house off market and flip it. No realtor flipper narrative here. I am not generally an advocate of the flipper community.
Hi! Love your personalities and the approach you have to your videos. On a side note…Derek where is your shirt from?
