my entire animatronic collecting history revolved around the life size santa and fortune teller props. (spirit balls, zultan etc) that is how it started
Hi, I have the exact same one but stopped working because of the Transistor fault. Will you be able to tell me what a transistor to use because I am unable to see the number of the Transistor because it is burned
Gemmygod yep, because Kmart is where they sold the pan Asian Santa and Mrs Claus. so it could be Kmart requested that animation maybe, idk it's just an assumption, but makes since why other places sing we wish you a merry Christmas instead. also those first ones speaker is in the base all the rest are in the body

Conkerscrib These were the first life sizes gemmy ever produced, so at the time it was new technology and their most sophisticated animatronic they made. Later models got better and operate smoother.
+Brian L yep once they made the top hat skeleton and the Santa in 03 they had figure out how to make the mechanism. I've been saying the Santa I have is the 04, it's actually 03 so it's the one right after the first ones were made, as a matter of fact the weird ones might have also been at Kmart In 03 as well, not sure yet but I know some were sold their by the looks of the box with the green top which is 2002. Kmart may have requested to make them dance that way, and that would make sense on why the switched the song to we wish you a merry Christmas when they sold at other places. The weird dancing ones don't even have pictures on the box. It's just a white box. I found a photo

12:57 let the beat control your body
My Memaw had one just like this, same voice and same movements. But hers had a moving mouth.
They all have a moving mouth 🤦
8:57 look like this santa has a higher voltage or up to 60hz
You mean lower voltage?
I guess Gemmy used the same module pan asian creations used for their dancing life size figures first.
