My interpretation of the Jane/Erica kiss is that he fully expected to be in control and resist her charm, but when he found himself kissing her, it surprised even himself. His theme song "Believe" plays in the background, indicating he probably felt ashamed for what he allowed to happen. He was betraying the memory of his wife and his marriage, and he also fell for her trick, which he had successfully resisted in 3x19. At the same time, the kiss probably also felt nice. His look reflected a myriad of emotions: shock, shame, guilt, disbelief...
I don't believe he helped her escape or was happy that she escaped. He says he will find her, and she dares him to do it. These are not the words of two people who are helping each other.
The irony is that Erica played a role in getting Jane and Lisbon together. Erica asked Jane to look directly into the camera so that he could make a connection with his future soul mate. She created the video of Jane that only Lisbon ever saw, thus connecting Lisbon's and Jane's futures.
