1974-D Penny Worth Money - How Much Is It Worth and Why?

I have a 1974 penny that the mint mark is basically a blob I can I can tell it’s supposed to be a D but the center hole is filled in and also to be so worn I can still see at least two steps and I can see Lincoln sitting there my question is that unusual to still be able to see steps and Lincoln and do u know if there are any examples of that mint mark being an error I’m relatively new at this I’ve collected coins here and there for years but now I’m disabled and have enough time to start enjoying the hobby any advice on this or the hobby in general would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Hello Treasure Town,
I found a 1974 Lincoln penny with an error on the obverse. A wheat stock on the obverse reasonably clear but very noticeable to know what it is. They haven't produced this reverse since 1958 so I need any help you can provide.

Just found this one. The D was almost filled in completely and I wasn't sure until he mentioned the mark on the back.

I just emptied 2,202 pennies in a Coinstar machine. Over and over it kept spitting out two pennies. I brought them home and looked at them and they're both 1974 D, which brought me to this video. One of them has the error on the back.

So my 1974 D is an offset punch(if I’m using the correct terminology)
It clearly is offset having a larger boarder northwest of Lincoln’s head.
It’s like a crescent moon starting at Liberty getting thicker as it gets to the top of the penny and then narrowing back out and fading away just before the 1974 date on the other side.
Would you know if this is a known error?

I had a buddy of mine hand me 30 totally Uncirculated 1974Ds and I shit you not they’ve been IN a storage Sheath SINCE 1974 and I’m trying to get em graded and it’s tuff. There’s Also a Strange error. It’s got a Purple tone to it with some Blue and red As well. But it’s got Ghost letters on the reverse and it’s close to a DDO! It’s Hella crazy I don’t wanna sell Em. Thanks for sharing but most of the time, you are not dealing with highly graded coins correct the information. The penny that you started the video with would grade out at what? Most of the coins I go through are from coin rolls from my local bank. I know its possible, but most of the time these coins don't get those high grades you referred to.
