If you read the text of the epilogue closely, Sweeney is supposed to be living among us, so either he has returned from the dead or never was killed by Toby.
Yep. Not sure why they didn’t do that for the movie. The story is already about cannibalism, rape, and insanity, but god forbid if the kid loses his mind.
@@tearoses9940 To be honest i think they did it to have somewhat of a happy ending.instead of Toby going insane its just ending off with Sweeney and his love maybe being reunited or not at all.
@@V甘いもの I don't know man. I mean he was abandoned as a child, mistreated at his orphanage and sent off to a workhouse where he was most likely raped. All this was before being sold to Perelli who abused the hell out of him. After Perelli died, he was taken in by Mrs. Lovett who throughout the second act makes him think that he's crazy because he correctly believes his "mother's" boyfriend killed his boss. He then finds out that the pies he's been eating for months are made from human meat and discovers that Sweeney has indeed been killing people. After this he's pursued by Sweeney and Lovett through the sewers scared because he knows that the only person who ever loved him is going to kill him to keep him quiet. Finally, he witnesses Sweeney kill Mrs. Lovett. I think his break is quite plausible if you think about it.
This is such a fantastic production, especially the Miss Lovett. Bravo to everyone involved!
I absolutely adored the guy playing Sweeney, and the voice of Anthony... Bravo
the Mrs. Lovett was, like, perfect.
The person who plays Toby has such a beautiful voice. I’m absolutely obsessed with this cast, they’re all brilliant!
Well, that was lovely.
Absolutely loved the guy who played Sweeney.
I wish our school would do such fun activities like this too.
Whoever ms Lovett is 🙇♀️ SO GOOD
She might be the best Lovett!!!! ❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
I always thought, that Sweeney could go down the chair to symbolize his descent to hell.
amazing
They did perfectly good, man, I LOOOVED *-* Especially the protagonist, the guy who played Benjamin Barker, what is the boy's name?
Johnny Depp Jr?

So I wonder, what did Sweeney do at the end when he went to the orchestra, was that supposed to be him going to hell?
I think it’s because the script says he leaves upstage through an iron door but they didn’t seem to have that

@@Donello I think you're misinterpreting a lyric that's meant to imply that any one if us (any member of the audience) could become a "Sweeney."
Amazing :)
A reverse Johnny Depp, a Young mini Edward Saunders

That was fun.
Did Toby became insane??

It just seems out of nowhere tho tbh there's no build up his mind break just seems too sudden to be plausible for me...
