- This is it!
Some of you might have been following the development of the Dragonfly 40C versions and we are now finally ready to show you the Dragonfly 40C Performance in its right element.
Please enjoy this video from the test sail of the Dragonfly 40C Performance version and Jens Quornings reaction after the test sail, at the end of the video.
I did not want anything till I layed eyes on this incredible boat!
One day i will be able to afford one for sure
Super cool! You did it again!!
We’ll hopefully be able to soon order one of the smaller Dragonflies; admiration for unapologetic commitment to quality and craftsmanship to produce this beautiful performance yacht!
Fantastic!!
BIB, BIG fan of tri-hulls and Dragonfly's in particular. But what in the world is the sailing purpose of having dual helm stations, five feet apart on a 40 foot tri-hull, other than it costs more? Dragonfly already has the tilting wheel on its next smaller boat. Why not use that?
I love the boat overall. I just think dual helms on a boat this small are unnecessary.
I won’t be affording it in 2 million years but I will keep dreaming of one
I would love a 60ft cruiser version, with strong folding amas, and that can be couple/single handed.
There is a Rapido 50 with folding amas. There seem to have been som issues with the first hull though. As I understand it, it was due to covid-related delays while still trying to meet a deadline set by the client. The client allegedly risked loosing his slip in a marina in Mallorca unless he parked his boat there at a specified certain date (again: if I have understood the situation correctly...). I think Rapido are now close to finishing hull no. 2 of the 50 version. They also have a 60ft version - but as far as I know they do not offer that one with folding amas. There may be one or two pre-owned of the 60ft version currently up for sale in the market...
There's also the bañulsdesign/McConaghy 53 trimaran. Compared to the Rapidos, the bañulsdesign/McConaghy 53 is more similar to the Dragonfly 40 with regards to styling. I do not know if it is available with folding amas though...
@@angela1984a I do like your comment, but I'm slightly confused by your picture. A socialist in the market for million dollar yachts?
@@pharma37 There really aren't any contradictions. 1. I'm unfortunately not able to "be in the market"... But out of all kinds of yachts - trimarans seem superior to me. They offer the possibility to sail in wind conditions where other sailing yachts can't. I especially like trimarans with fully electric drive trains. 2. When it comes to Democracy - then you can of course count on me being an absolute fundamentalist. For example: I fully support a proportionally representative democracy in the US.
@@angela1984a Well, I do hope that you leave socialism behind you, and start dealing in Capital from small scale to big, and someday purchase a trimeran of your own. They truly are excellent vessels to sail. I can attest to that. I believe you'd enjoy it immensely.
Socialism only brings hardship. My father was an idealist with socialism as well. He was never that great with money, and worked as a gas station attendant until I allowed him to retire.
I would love to one day see you sending me a message about your own boat. That would make me smile.
I thank you for your informative replies Angela.
You're a very pleasant person.
SKOL!!!!!!
First few seconds already got me thinking about.....................Foils.
Maybe I'll buy your trimaran. If I don't find one that is clearly faster than yours.
A beautiful and sexy performer
I think the 40C meets a requirement, as a super fast cruiser There's people out there who want a boat they can do extended trips on and still be able to race on weekends.
I don't think anyone would be buying to live aboard, but who'd buy a carbon boat just to take it easy?
Absolutely stunning.
But at their prices, these boats have sub-par seats/benches that provide little comfort and support.
I'm sure they can custom-make just about anything that you would like...
@@angela1984a
Perhaps, but from the videos I've seen of all their boats, those benches are reminiscent of the one on a Hobie Getaway...
Still, they're gorgeous!
Given Rapido operates out of a Communist Country (deal breaker for me)- Does Dragonfly have any plans to build larger tri's? I retire in five years...that's your clock, LOL!
Not enough bang for your buck I’m afraid to say!
Does this Danish product use any precious metals that shameless Denmark authorities nowadays strip from refugees like Germans did Jews in WWII?
