I passed my exam and these are the things that helped me the most: 1. Write everything down at least once. 2. Separate chapters and study one chapter at the time. 3. Memorize all aspects that involve a number (30 days, 3 days, 3 years, 2 weeks, etc.) 4. On top of memorizing everything, have a basic understanding of how things work in general. Example: what kind of insurance would be the cheapest. Which kind of annuity is the riskiest. My overall experience was that the exam was easier than I expected. Good luck to all of you! You got this, just believe in yourself!
1. Read the question in full before looking at the answers 2. Don't read too much into the question 3. A positive choice is more likely than a negative choice 4. Don't go against your first impulse unless you're sure you're wrong 5. Check for negative words before you answer the question 6. The answer is usually wrong if it contains these words: "all, always, never, none" 7. The answer has a great chance of being right if it has the words "sometimes, probable or some" 8. If you don't know the wrong answer, seek out the wrong answer 9. Don't eliminate any answer unless you actually know what the word means 10. Don't seek out any patterns 11. Read every answer before you pick one 12. The longest answer is often correct 13. Don't give up on a question after one reading
Omg I am on my 3rd attempt and I would have passed my first time if I had this video in my hands before. This makes much sense. I done everything opposite of what he said to not do 🤦🏽♀️. But now… she ready!! Thank you.
Thank you!!! About to take the test soon. Been on POL on my days off reading and studying. This was very helpful. Daniel I’ve been watching everything you post
Hi sir good afternoon! It was a very nice time watching the 12 minutes video with 13 rules teaching how to pass the life insurance state exam, it’s awesome paying attention to your information I wish I would wish to have the chance of having your contact
Read the damn book… the life exam is seriously the easiest of all the financial exams out there. Especially if you are going to be selling term insurance. You will basically brains dump everything about ULs and Whole life and use the talking points your company feeds you to sell your product over your competition. If you are only life licensed you are not a financial advisor or planner. You are a salesman. You are selling a crucial product that everyone needs but you are not going to be working in complex situations and building robust financial plans. Don’t discourage your clients from working with a CFP when they need more. Do what’s right for the client, not what’s right for your pocket book and you will build a reputation of professionalism and get referrals
I don't know about this advice. When I lived in California, I had a P&C, Life Only, Life & Health licenses (at different times). The classroom training I received was multiple repetion of a key word in the question and a key word in the answer. I always passed the exam in about an hour. I didn't read every single answer. I knew what I was looking for. I tried the Life Only exam in Utah last June and the exam here is completely different than what is given in California. Nothing on the test was familiar and of course I didn't pass even though I studied. The company giving the test in Utah is Prometric.
@cookie42148 they select from hundreds of possible questions. The best bet is to be familiar with the material. I recommend AD Banker insurance course. I ordered the online course and the paper study book. They're nearly identical word for word, except for the commentary in the online course. The online course is only available for a couple of months or so. You keep the paper manual forever and you can highlight in it. I also ordered study cards, but I didn't use them much. Those are my tips. I do not recommend the course most agents use. I forgot the name of it. I think it starts with an "X". Don't use it. Very difficult.
You have to take notes of each chapter. It's easy write questions on each chapter and write what is what. Once you are ready for test. Read notes and go take the test. The questions will pop up right away. Read the question and know what they want.. correct or except. Those up up right by away
Yes, If you take short notes on each chapter and study questions at end of each chapter schedule exam. Read the notes and the questions on online exam and notes u will pass the first time. The answers pop up right away. Read the question and look for the answer. It will show up right away
Damn I feel like this guy reflects how I feel about this exam🤣 we have the same test taking process good stuff 👌🏼 I feel like this test exam was too easy though?
@@billygraham64 I’m in California so I don’t know how similar the test will be. I’ve passed the SIE, series 6, series 63, and life insurance and I’ve used the same process for all tests. I read the book once, then go back read it again and take notes and take the chapter exams, then I take a practice final exam. After all of that i watch TH-cam video and I read Reddit and other online forums to read what others have said. I study what the main chapters and then take tests until I feel like I’m really confident. The day before the test don’t study much and sleep a lot, also have a solid breakfast. I also meditate and do like 5 minutes of power stance before the test. This might seem like a lot and it probably is but it’s my ritual when it comes to these tests because if I didn’t pass my firm would let me go. So do what you need to do but this works for me. You need to feel confident about yourself and the test. Sleep is crucial do not stay up until 2am the night before of the test. Good luck you got this👍🏽
