- The plaintiff says she grew up not knowing who her father was, and her mother admitted she wasn’t sure either. The plaintiff discovered that the defendant might be her father, so she petitioned the court for a paternity test. The defendant insists he never knew the plaintiff’s mother was pregnant in the first place but admits he used to have a sexual relationship with her. He hopes the DNA test will provide some answers.
He seems like a very good guy. Who's just not motivated and never has been about bettering and finding a career. He's motivated to be in his daughter life. That's a great thing.
Both of them have such great personalities- full of humility. I hope they grow an unbreakable bond.

I grew up in California, with 8 other siblings and I can honestly say I can remember my parents came to one parent teacher's meeting when I was in the 4th grade, and after that can't remember them even asking me about school, there was a lot of beatings I know they had a lot on their hands, thanks to the most high I'm still here and all that I've been through, drugs, a little jail, no Prison I'm a Computer Systems Engineer, If only I had more direction no telling, maybe I could have been world-class Jazz Saxophonist or Pianist. Just thankful I'm still here.

Very cool to hear the Ancestry results only took a week to come back! I’m hoping to do one as a birthday gift to myself this year, as my deceased father was adopted and never knew any of his biological family. Glad this family got the results they were hoping for!

@@INDIGO.GODDESS_573 from what I understand, the database is very large so you would probably be in there if you ever provided DNA for any reason. So I’m hoping I can find at least one family member and start from there 🤞🏾

I hope you have success. I did my Ancestry DNA as a way of finding my African roots. I didn't have any questions about my maternal and paternal sides. But you and the plaintiff have given me ideas about maybe tracking down my African relatives. LOL Don't know why though since I barely keep in touch with my known relatives. I need to do better.

I don’t think JM came down on him at all. I perceived it as making sure the father was accountable for all his actions. I love how he always tries to put people on game and make sure they know the right path to take.

Maybe in her (the mother) mind she thought she was saving her daughter by not admitting who the dad was. I know there are just some connections that should never be made.

@Kashout G Exactly. Since he seems to turn many cases into mostly crack cases, deciding to willingly do crack is not good, no matter what age a person begins to do it. It seems Judge Mathis bashed him/made a mockery of him, because this young man started at the age of 40. From what I've witnessed, crack can ruin your life, no matter what age one chooses to start. It is a horrible & hard disease to deal with from loved ones & it's hard to see loved ones suffer through it, no matter what age they choose to begin. May God bless him & his daughter's relationship, always. ❤️🙏🏾

Thank you for trying. At 37 years old i still remember my father lying that my mom would keep him away. But kids are not stupid. I would hear her on the phone telling him to come see us. I would see her make him food when he would bother coming by. She tried. And that is something i will always be grateful for. I know which one of my parents was there and fighting for me to have s father figure. My dad might want to play victim but I've always known the truth. I'm sure your little one will see the truth too.

I'm 49. I know most of my paternal side.. After he & my mom split (I was 3 or 4) my sperm donor REFUSED REAL BAD.. to be in my life, or my mother's son's life & he's his jr. My parents moved to Chicago from the south. My father was born in 1927. Got a master's and ABD in the 70's. Worked as a public school teacher by day, janitor at night. We went to Catholic school and knew we were going to college. A lot of friends in the 80s was raised the same way. I might disagree with JM when he says the generation who moved north from the south didn't know the value of education

GOD bless you. My grandmother was born in 1929 in Arkansas and she had 2 Master's degrees, she was also a teacher. My brother and I attended Catholic school for most of our lives as well. I received my Master's degree back in 2006. College was pretty much a required option for us. Lol.

Knowing that this possibly could have been the young lady’s dad, the judge shouldn’t have focused so much on this man’s negative past. He just kept on and kept on delving back on it. It was the past. This lady needs to be able to look at her dad in a positive light. Judge didn’t just bring it up. But he kept on until every last detail came out.
She needed to know & who to say he hadn't already told her It appears that she was scared off to have a relationship with her father I am very thankful that it worked out for them both and I hope that they have a good life together he's got five granddaughters he has a lot of life experience to share about the pitfalls of life with them girls just saying.......
