Pearlish Valaikappu
Seemantham, also known as Valaikaappu, is an Indian tradition popular in the South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, carried out during the 6th, 7th or 8th month of a woman's pregnancy. Although in ancient times Seemantham was performed on the birth of each child, today it may be limited to the first born. This ritual is similar to a baby shower performed in Western cultures.
The word "Seemantham/Seemantha" refers to parting the hair just above the eyebrow where the Goddess of Wealth, Sri Mahalakshmi, resides. This leads to the practice of applying kumkum to the parting in order to propitiate the Goddess Sri Lakshmi such that when a woman delivers a child, she is considered the embodiment of the Goddess Lakshmi herself.

Just for your understanding. The reason for Valaikaappu done in 7th month is that the function should be done only in odd months like 5th and 7th and avoid taking risk by performing it in 9th month as the delivery month would be nearer. The pregnant girl needs to be happy and in order to celebrate the new baby's arrival. After performing valaikaappu the girl returns to her parents house for delivery and will be there for 5 months. This is the tradition we follow. Some times you look as Nithya Menon in long shots. It was your curly hair which identifies as you, Pearly. Btw, your lip movement for the last song was excellent.
