To clarify on Mike’s distinction on Jericho’s abilities pre- and post-Flashpoint, originally, it’s not that Jericho projected an astral form from his own body that possessed others. It’s that Joey’s body ~became~ astral. So, no, his body was not limp and in danger like in his Rebirth-era counterpart.
Let’s say Jericho was tied up. If he made eye contact with someone, he could leap into their body and then exit, no longer tied up. Nightwing and Jericho did a maneuver a few times where Joey would take over Dick’s body whenever they wanted to pretend Nightwing was alone. Then Jericho would leap out and rematerialize, allowing Dick and Joe to fight side by side.

@natedegree96 that seems like a more sensible way to avoid danger! He was kinda devil-may-care with his body in Prime Earth!
