Definitely ready!😋Important to note that the corn husks should be prepared beforehand by soaking them in hot water until they are soft. Also, it's a good idea to spread the masa on the smoother side so that the masa doesn't stick to the husk when you unwrap it once cooked.
My abuelita always said that the secret to great masa is to flavor it and make sure the masa floats in warm water. THAT'S how you know it's ready. Not everyone does that. It made my heart sooooo happy to see you do that!!! 🥰♥️
NO! Those networks change their personalities to suit whatever corporate wants them to be, and remakes them into some plastic imitation of what they originally were. Let Claudia stay Claudia! Don’t mess with perfection.
So delicious! This dish will be excellent as we go into the cold weather. I love that lard is used. Amazing meal for the working man. Excellent as always!
I'm Australian, spent 5 weeks in Mexico and those remind me of the tamales I had in Guadalajara, this lovely abuela was selling them from her house. I really can't wait to try this recipe!
I don’t know how you do it looking so impeccably perfect !! When I’m making tamales, I end up looking like a hot mess !! The heat & humidity from the kitchen literally causes my hair to explode lol ! I can’t wait to try your recipe ❤
You make that look super easy. There was a Mexican carpenter that worked with us a while and I asked him to teach me to make tamales. I got to his house and he told me to chop firewood while he put a couple of chickens, a beef roast, and a whole Boston butt in the oven with veggies and seasonings. This man had 50 pounds of deer corn and some pickling lime. We made hominy by boiling it a few times, taking the skins off and squeezing it out. THEN we crushed it all in a big molcajete. He said that was how his abuela made her masa harina.😂 There was 8 of us rolling tamales when it was time. It was a lot of work, but 14 hours later, we had about 300 tamales and there were 4 different kinds. People came from EVERYWHERE😂. Btw they freeze good!!!
Yesss that’s how the nixtamal is made 🥺 a lot of work and times goes into it 😊 god bless the hands of those who make it possible for us to have the ready to use masa 😅
@CookingConClaudia I thought he was picking on me with all that until I tasted them! I remember him dropping a couple of coins in the steamer before we put in the tamales to cook. It was boiling when we herd them rattle and needed more water when the rattling of the coins stopped! It was an amazing experience and I will never forget it and I will never do all that again! Lol
Yum!😋These Tamales look phenomenal and incredibly delicious, my mouth is watering!🤩🤤👌The combination of ingredients is here simply divine, all the best flavors in one!🎉It's such a great comfort food for fall!✌I must try these!😀Thank you Claudia for sharing another great recipe; Greetings from Poland!😊❤

When she says “seriously” after her first bite that’s how I know it good. If she doesn’t say it, I ain’t cooking it lol…. Love the videos, Mexican food is my favorite so I love learning how to make it!
I have been having to buy already made tamales from the store and reheat them when I want tamales, so I will be giving this recipe a try in the near future
@@CookingConClaudia and you can have them for breakfast, lunch or dinner that’s why you have to make a lot because they are so good!!!🤤 and happy holidays to you and your family 🙏
I’ve never tried tamales, because they seem kind of intimidating. You might just convince to give them a shot. I do love them, and yours look delicious. All the best and keep up the great work, you are awesome!
Wow, those look fantastic. I laughed though when I saw 'easy' in the title. I guess they are pretty simple but whenever I make them it takes all day and my arms are sore for a long time after. It is worth the work though. And thank you for the floating masa trick, I did not know that.
I make your tamales every Christmas ❤❤ I was wondering do you have a video on Jalapeno and cream cheese tamales? Lots of love n air hugs from us in Houston Texas ❤❤❤
Seriously looks so bomb!!! If you have a moment, Can I ask what type of stand mixer you recommend to be able to handle a good amount of masa mix?? We are a family of five and I would want a stand mixer that would make enough for everybody!

You don't do that if you know how to cook. And you definitely don't cook that meat in the sauce
In the unfortunate case that it doesn’t float, how do you fix it without starting over?
You add more liquid
Yessss she always told me that too! And every time I do it I always think of her too 🥺
@@CookingConClaudia me too!
Now that's the size authentic tamalas should be✨❤️
Agreeee!!!! Si no no lo quiero!!!!
Unfortunately I can't find hojas that big on regular basis.
Claudia should have a cooking show on television I love her she is awesome ❤
