I always thought retrax would make for a fun mini unicron (minicron) in like, a botcon set type thing themed around unicron slowly reforming, call it Unicron Regenesis or something, idk. My personal top 3 for this year are Ransack, Powerlinx Hotshot, and Crasher
I definitely understand Legacy Armada Prime being #1, he is actually over all, incredible in every way. Very few issues with him but everything else is insane good about him.
After seeing just how short changed Legacy Point Blank turned out due to having his target master partner, I was so surprised that Needlenose did not feel the same way. He feels like such a fully realized toy and the partners are included too, like what a win. I honestly don’t need articulated target master companions, just having them in the display is enough for me personally
@@TheSheepWielder I understand what you mean for sure. It would be cool to have more of those but I’m guessing that the poor sales of them are why we aren’t seeing more of them. I think a lot of people would be hesitant if they needed to make two separate purchases just for the two to be together on a shelf
I feel that I am the only one who considers bomb burst the best core class. He has some really nice articulation and his compressibility can open up some really neat fanmode ideas. Hes one of those imagination fueled toys
Great video as always! I heard you mention that you don’t have Trashmaster. I have Trashmaster and Towline and honestly I think TM is a bit underwhelming as a junkion and as a voyager. His jaw thing pegs into his hand weirdly and the junkion bits that come off can’t really do much. Not terrible but I’d look it some reviews before getting him.
37:50 Huh, your thoughts on this guy seem...familiar. Where have I heard this stuff before? 😂 Fun video Sheep, actually enjoyed the longer format tbh. Nice change of pace from getting you in 1-2 minute bits, even if this was basically a whole bunch of those stitched together.
I love that Shadow Striker made the list and with a good placement. She deserved every dollar of that modern deluxe after she never got one in Cyberverse. While it isn’t spot on to her design 100%, I will absolutely take her just like she is to accompany my Cyberverse Deluxes
@@TheSheepWielder she looks super good with them in my opinion! The deluxe figs from Cyberverse might not be as nice as a Legacy or SS deluxe but if you are just looking at them on a shelf, she really fits in well. Windblade in Legacy United also has the same ability to display nicely alongside the Cyberverse Deluxe figs. Obviously the chest on Shadow Striker is a bit different than in the show but with her whole aesthetic being a pieced back together Con I think it works well enough for her since the face sculpt is still so easily recognizable. However since both of those ladies never got a good figure in all of Cyberverse, it is nice to finally have a depiction of them that is shelf worthy for collectors
i got a used and complete retrax for the same price as the reissue some years before the vintage series was announced. i didn't expect that dis poor bastard gets a rerun again.
I had several chances to get Legacy Metroplex and to save money I passed each opportunity by with one excuse after another. Now I sit here, no Metroplex, and mad I didn’t sacrifice my rent money to have him
21:04 Finally someone get it! I get why people made the comparison especially if they got a copy but I still think it's an unfair comparison. Like yes I know the original mold is superior but I ain't going to spend scalper price for one and even then I am like to find a preowned one that is gonna be missing acessory and has loose joints! I rather people review the Legacy for its own merit than to compared to a figure I don't have over 10 years ago! Also interesting that your Tarn has become loose now. My has become abit loose (hip and elbow swivel) but not shaky loose!
It's a worthwhile comparison just to compare but when you start getting into 'well X is better because Y', that don't sit right with me Granted, I then made the comparison with Bludgeon between Legacy and ROTF - I'm just a quirky hypocrite lmao
That was a great rundown of Transformers to own in 2023. My top 5 out of near 40 TF purchases were near enough the same. The exception being SS86 Magnus taking the number one spot from legacy Prime followed by Bludgeon, Nova Prime, and 86 Ironhide and Ratchet as the ones I remembered having from Generations were straight up garbage. Really want to get Legacy Dread Wind at some point as I still have the original from Prime and would prefer him to be more in scale with Legacy Bulkhead and Knockdown. Also like how good Beachcomber looks next to Brawn, definitely a buy.
Armada Prime is everything i could have asked for in an updated version of the old toy.
Now, can we get Jetfire to give him his extra pants?

As someone who hasn't watched Armada, Commander Armada Prime was just...a 10/10 across the board!

My frustration with the target masters is they made em the best they probably ever will like two or three years before - so why the backstep?

What a year to get back into collecting TFs lol. Great video as always
2023 was a perfect mix of experimental figures, adult collecting, and bad decisions. In the end, the collectors have a bigger display to work on
Yea my wallet cried last a lot last year because of all the good figures

This video was shockingly not as lore intensive as I expected, but still really good. Sorry its not taking off like you hoped.
Actually, it'a picking up and breaking the mold now, thankfully
Yeah, I couldn't go too heavy on lore tbh

Great vid man!!! The intro is amazing

Does Shadow Striker actually go well with the Cyberverse stuff?

Galaxy shuttle is such a better use of that astrotrain mold I love him

UK?
Amazon has him cheap atm
120$ on US Amazon also
Surely being tied to a radiator is an uncomfortable experience but tarns joints are worse

SS86 Magnus could end up taking the 2024 spot, I'm getting next week for my birthday
Happy BDay in Advance. Not sure he'll make number 1 but hopefully he doesn't disappoint. Best iteration yet IMO.. @@TheSheepWielder
Well, we'll see what 2024 brings. Of the 8 so far, there aren't any clear candidates
Yay! He made a video!!!
Hope you're having a good day
I was thinking of getting needle nose but that jet is not doing it for me. Most of the jet is his blocky kibble
Reveal the Shield Jazz when ?
Probably no time soon, haven't owned him in about 2-3 years
I like this list
I would agree with armada optimus for #1 if it weren’t for it’s backwards arm
Backwards arm?
One arm was deformed where the double joint was flipped around which blocked half of his side from doing the supermode
Leo Prime actually is forgettable...but Armada Prime def isn't.
And subscribed!😅
Thank you, my guy
I bought that miniature optimus prime bumblebee set because I thought it looked good. Both figures were built like shit. Fidley and fell apart.
That's deeply underwhelming
