Sara from the TH-cam channel did a side-by-side comparison with Printful and Monster Digital which can be found on Printify. Monster Digital had higher quality prints over Printful. Brighter, wider spectrum of colors that pop a bit more, and sharper lines. I've ordered samples from Printful, Monster Digital, and CustomCat. I like Monster Digital for that ink that dyes the garment, and I like CustomCat if I want that plastic texture some prints have. CustomCat definitely wins for brighter, more vivid colors that seem to pop, sharper edges, and better fades. I use Monster Digital and Customcat depending on what style of shirt I'm going for.
Ugh, I'm inspired to start this up - and my Etsy account was "permanently" suspended as well. I set aside some precious time (I have 3 kids and a full-time job!) to get my shop set up, only to find out it was suspended, so needless to say, I was super frustrated. Can't believe that after waiting a week, you still didn't find out what you really had done wrong to cause it!

I use Printful because I know the quality will not change. It's not just about the shirt, you have to look at the print as well. Beginners should not pay the Printful or Printify subscription until they're sales cover it each month. When I was at 30 sales a month I still don't pay for Printful.

Hey, thanks for the comment! I will be sure to go into detail about how I fulfill orders soon! I always use Printify, their print quality is usually great if you're using a good pint provider, and keeping everything in one place just makes it easy!
i had to learn the hard way with printful. they said i was allowed to sell my own products without a resellers license. i had a lot of upcoming orders and without any warning at all. they put the orders on hold for 30 days unless i spend money on a resellers license
In new york, we have to collect taxes. but shopify and printful both said it is not required to have a resellers permit. so idk. my friend who does POD never had those issues he’s also in NY. and they never held his products from being fulfilled. it’s his own designs as well. mine are my own as well. two differnt stores selling similar designs yet one is allowed to sell and one isn’t. everything is different as well so you couldn’t even tell that we were selling similar designs. Same niche. Different personal designs.
Question - if you just go in Etsy and duplicate the listing and change the pics/tags/name and stuff, won't that duplicated listing not be linked in Printify to whatever new product you listed? I am trying to do some POD shirts/hoodies/mugs and stuff, but not custom items, just all premade so it's passive income. Hoping you see this!!!
So, do you do the entire listing IN Etsy, and then when you get an order, manually order it through Printify? Because I set up the Printify account (with your affiliate link!) and they have the option to build the listing and export it back Etsy? I'm a little unclear on that part. Would that streamline the sale to production process? Thakns dude. You've inspired the hell out of me.
For custom orders yes, the order will show up in the "Other Orders" section. If you publish a product from Printify, it'll appear in your "orders" tab and you'll just click submit
One more question - is it necessary to list an item right away when opening your Etsy shop? Or another way to phrase it... what are the advantages of doing so? Thanks Alek!
I just noticed something. What's the difference if the products are uploaded to Printify first, then published to Etsy? In your example here, it seems that a mock will go Published in Etsy. If that's the case, how are orders processed? It took me a long time to figure how to set up an account on Printify and then link/publish to Etsy and had not noticed this before. Etsy is the best imo because you have the opportunity to "market" differently than on RedBubble or wherever else. You can make great listings and rank really well in SEO. I haven't seen many 7 figure RedBubble or Teespring shops
Hi ! Just wanted to know that what if customer returns the product? Does printify store that product for few days in their warehouses and wait for other customers to buy the same product or it completely destroys the product and charge us for that particular product?
If you're posting the product from Printify, it'll automatically fill out everything that's required for you. You shouldn't have to worry about those sections :)
Hi Alek, when you say you were doing custom products, do you mean the customer would message you an image/text/font etc and then you would manually print it on the product for them or did you just create your own designs and sell them? It's done manually on Etsy, and I don't currently have the time to go through and take down a bunch of listings if people are copying me 😅 You'll see everything once I hit my goal!
You can either offer a replacement and eat the cost (this keeps you from getting bad reviews), or offer them a replacement shirt for JUST the product + shipping costs that you pay Printify.
Did you ever get a reason why your account was suspended? This happened to me, and as a first time seller, it completely screwed me up. Knocked the wind out of my sails... I've been waiting for a dang week to get started, and I'm so upset.

I checked Etsy and printify out and I need to dig the internet to find info how to do all, so for me your video will be more like to see revenue results and that all as you dont actually give usefull info on setting up everything
What's hard about setting up an Etsy shop? I thought that getting the sales would be the hard part not opening the shop. That's what my videos focus on
@@alekSheffy setting up is more complex for people without experience. And as for sales it is pretty simple , make tons of designs, use top sellers as references, use similar to theirs tags. And it will be the same month after month, but those little details about setting everything up would be much more usefull
Hmm what country? BigCartel is great since there's no subscription. I've heard that you can start an Etsy store without a physical United States address, just by using a "Digital Address" like a website. It may not be true, but worth looking into.
Dude where did you find a link to even email them? My account got suspended before I even finished setting up my store, and their support page is just a hate loop of links with no way to actually contact them. Didnt even get an email explaining why either. Seriously demoralizing and makes me reluctant to use their site at all. Cant believe people still sell on there when they have no support chat.

so, after watching this video. i thought i should try one more time. so, i created one more account on etsy with different details and vps and everything. they suspended that too. and now i emailed them to check it. They said wait 9 days

@@arsalankamran6023 Did you have another account suspended from the same device? I had that happen and any time I would create a new account it would get suspended within minutes. I went to a family members home and created one and its still working now. Id recommend clearing all cache and tracking information from the device youre using if that is the case.

That's super strange, are you in a state where that's mandatory? I haven't heard of that with Printify as long as you're collecting tax some way.

what about other print on demand platform such as Redbubble, teespring, merch? Have you tried them or do think Etsy is the best?

I can't give advice on this, but from what I know having an LLC can offer some protection but it's not required

So I list a product on Etsy that basically says "Custom T-Shirt" etc. From there a customer can say "I want the shirt to say >Happy Birthday

What's hard about setting up an Etsy shop? I thought that getting the sales would be the hard part not opening the shop. That's what my videos focus on
@@alekSheffy setting up is more complex for people without experience. And as for sales it is pretty simple , make tons of designs, use top sellers as references, use similar to theirs tags. And it will be the same month after month, but those little details about setting everything up would be much more usefull

I've heard that you can start an Etsy store without a physical United States address, just by using a "Digital Address" like a website. It may not be true, but worth looking into.

Dude where did you find a link to even email them? My account got suspended before I even finished setting up my store, and their support page is just a hate loop of links with no way to actually contact them. Didnt even get an email explaining why either. Seriously demoralizing and makes me reluctant to use their site at all. Cant believe people still sell on there when they have no support chat.
Shoot that sounds terrible! I don't know where I found it online, but they answered me in about a week. Here's the email I used: support@etsy.zendesk.com

so, after watching this video. i thought i should try one more time. so, i created one more account on etsy with different details and vps and everything. they suspended that too. and now i emailed them to check it. They said wait 9 days
That's super strange. I'm guessing it's something with the AI just flagging accounts they things are suspicious. Did you get it back?
@@alekSheffy haven't. They asked to wait 9 days for the answer. It's been 4 now. in the meantime i have created some designs. if i ever get back my account.

@@arsalankamran6023 Did you have another account suspended from the same device? I had that happen and any time I would create a new account it would get suspended within minutes. I went to a family members home and created one and its still working now. Id recommend clearing all cache and tracking information from the device youre using if that is the case.
@@TheRiddlePanda I used VPS. its actually another setup computer located in different country. it wasn't the issue of IP. its just idk mate
Quick question, how do you connect your Etsy store to printify with custom products? Is there a setting where printify won’t automatically complete an order until you fill in the custom design? Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I’m new to this
It's a normal connection except custom orders show up in the "other orders" section so you can manually fulfill them
