8 HP Columbus at Hay Creek 2014

George Loughery's 1903 Columbus Gas Engine as shown at The Hay Creek Fall Festival in 2014. It is currently set up to run on propane. George says it runs cleaner and that means less ignitor cleaning.
The engine was purchased from the John Hartman family of the north Reading, PA area in the mid 70's. George spent 10 years replacing all the wood and many parts, as you can probably tell.
Of George's many engine's this one is, by far, his favorite and heaviest.
