One of the guys used a “hook” technique where he shifted his hand and wrist towards himself so he could use his biceps and shoulders, but she moved her grip higher and top rolled him. He could have won if he re adjusted. She also uses her whole upper body and moves her whole body with her arm, generating way more strength than the men who were just using their arms and using a plain technique.

It's not about strength, it's about technique and timing... If you look closely, the woman straightens her whole body and is damn perfect at pulling someone down without giving you enough time to counteract it.
I honestly think people like her and Schoolboy are actually strong, but uses "physics" to win. It's about technique, the torque, momentum, inertia, fulcrum point etc. that allow you to win. There's probably a way to use leverage to exert and amplify a force 10 times or more than you actually put out. I would like to see her compete with the same guys she beat in a squat or dead lift or bench press contest to see her true strength.
Her leverage, body position and technique is way better than all her opponents. She is standing vertically every time, her elbow is almost touching her ribcage, she does the "over the top of the opponent's thumb" trick/technique just before they start, her opponents knuckles are almost always vertical while her knuckles are nearly horizontal etc.

Not only that, there was no formal countdown, and that is a big factor/advantage for a professional to be able to get that little jump on the opponent, it's absolutely huge in arm wrestling--I mean it was over in one second with nearly all these guys. I think the lack of a formal clock or countdown was a major factor (other than her being a top world competitor in her sport!). Even if there was a formal countdown, she would already have the advantage over most of the guys with her extensive experience --but without it, those guys can just forget about it, it was over before they even knew what happened
The technique involves locking the elbow and shoulder, transferring the weight of the body, and pulling back at the same time to unlock the opponent's elbow joint 😌
She is professional and knows perfect technique. All the guys had no idea what was happening. Notice how high grip she had. In almost all the cases, she had climbed up to their thumb. This alone, along with arm angle and body positioning gives huge advantage.

She leans forward and keeps the angle in her elbow as small as possible, thats allows to use her whole body through her hand. You will notice that she never let the angle in her elbow to enlarge. You can also notice the other people, once their angle is enlarged they are immediately lost. The summary is to push downward and pull her hand closer to her body at the same time.
Shes probably not even as strong as some of these guys. She just understands leverage. And they don't. She knows how to win while not being stronger than your opponent.
3:50 watch her move her fingers slightly above his fingers, this is one of the best ways to increase leverage in this sport making you 2 times better... the technique is good

All the challengers' arm angles are much wider than Irina's, decreasing leverage. Furthermore, she is relying more on isometric strength to keep her arm fixed and she just puts her weight into it. The challengers are effectively trying to lift Irina's body weight with an outstretched arm. She also has a higher grip, which increases her leverage.
You're not wrong, but I would still bet on her to win with a fair start. She trains specifically in armwrestling. While she may not bench as much as these guys, I wouldn't be surprised if none of them could do a 40 lbs pronation lift. The reason she's using leverage is because she's pulling for hours against guys that are fresh. She needs to conserve her stamina as much as possible.
You’re absolutely right. I’m 6”2 and always had to stretch out my arm to be at the same hand level as the guys shorter arms than me giving them an advantage by being able to start with their arm close to them and their shoulder up. They still lost.
Her fingers curl strong and deep into the opponents flexor tendons and 1st lumbrical muscle (area between the index finger and thumb). Add her mastered full body technique, all those muscles now as one mighty large one leveraged against the unsuspected single big arm.
Shift of weight is bang on. The guys remained upright and used their "arms". After all, it's an "arm" wrestle. She didn't use her arm at all, she just dropped her entire body to one side. I doubt she would beat anyone if she stayed upright and only used her arm.
After I saw how she did it I wasn't impressed at all. She wouldn't beat these guys if they were trained to do it how she did. Probably could be taught in under 5 minutes.
People need to know, it's all about the "hook". Aka the manipulation in wrist and hand. the more you hook their hand towards yourself, you gain more power and stability, causing the other opposite to lose.

Here's the thing, the moment time starts the girl quickly lean her body one side using full body force and that helps her to win, quick movement and full body force is the key. If the men in this video uses same technique they can win.
It always helps the girl when the guys losing are so cool about it. I never competed against men in Cheer(never directly, it was a team thing) or Softball(only girls) but I also love competitive FPS games and am a Destiny sweat, I beat guys all the time and they’re either bitter and shitty to me or absolutely wonderful sports about losing to a girl. It genuinely feels good when they’re cool about it.

CALL IT CHEAT OR CALL IT TECHNIQUE AND SKILL I DONT CARE. Yes she is a stronger than average woman but... Her HUGE advantage is that she holds her arm closer and the men extend out their arm AND then she uses her body weight and core muscles while the men can only use their arm muscles. THEN WHEN the smart guy tries to do a 50/50 equal arm extend..... As soon as he says GO she will pull QUICKLY towards her so she forces the man to extend first before he has a chance to flex his musle. She even takes her elbow off the cushion cuz she is pulling their arm out forcing the extension that weakens their push. If you master pulling fast first with the less extension advantage you can beat stronger opponents. Look at the distance between her fist and her bicep vs theirs and the distance between her fist and body vs theirs.
it has nothing to do with how strong she is she is just using her weight to her advantage, those huys are untraind in how to arm wrestle. if you look closely to her arm, then you will notice its lower then a 90 degree angle as to where theres is past it. also she keeps her arm really close to her body and the stretch it out far. simple physics.

At my middle school they didn’t let me arm wrestle others, but now I’m in high school and my wood shop teacher lets us arm wrestle him, so that he can beat everyone and prove his dominance.
I don't really do arm wrestling, but it is easy to see that she is executing very differently from them. its strange how a competition of strength turns into a competition for who can perform the specific movement the best.

You’re absolutely right. I’m 6”2 and always had to stretch out my arm to be at the same hand level as the guys shorter arms than me giving them an advantage by being able to start with their arm close to them and their shoulder up.

I never competed against men in Cheer(never directly, it was a team thing) or Softball(only girls) but I also love competitive FPS games and am a Destiny sweat, I beat guys all the time and they’re either bitter and shitty to me or absolutely wonderful sports about losing to a girl. If you master pulling fast first with the less extension advantage you can beat stronger opponents.
