Good thing you were able and willing to drive to the geyser fields, I agree that you would miss a lot on the drive going on a tour bus. It was interesting to see how different the geysers were. The view of the steam with the sunrise in the background was so cool! Your stargazing experience looked amazing 🤩 I had no idea you'd be able to see the stars so clearly!
That stargazing trip looks like it would have been my highlight too - topping the geysers (loved the Timelapse footage!) Can’t wait to see where you’re off to next!
Wow! That was incredible! Never seen anything like it! Those Geysers were all so varied - loved the bubbly ones & those coming out of rocks! Amazing nature! Also incredible to see flamingo’s on the ice?!? Had no clue they would live somewhere like that!!! As for the stars & ‘Milky Way’ - we’ll they WERE an extra bonus - loved seeing all that too! Esp the Milky Way! Brilliant filming & shots & descriptions - all very interesting - thankyou so much! 👍
Hi, I am off to Chile in October and your videos have been very helpful! I am intrigued by the Astronomy Tour you did. What was the name of the company? Did you book it in San Pedro? Also, for the tickets you need to purchase in advance for Valle de la Luna, did you do that in town too or is there a website. Thanks so much for your fantastic videos!
We booked the astronomy tour in the town of San Pedro the tour company is a 30 second walk from the tourist info place in town, cannot remember the name but this video we show exactly where we booked, this day set up our whole plan for SP: th-cam.com/video/Yf4xZkxWaEQ/w-d-xo.html hope it helps. We just booked our Valle de La Luna tickets online the night before in our hotel room, tourist info can also help but we found it by simply typing into Google.
Hi, question. I see you have a luxury car and notice some off-road conditions. Is it OK to drive off road? Are other people also use ‘normal’ cars instead of 4wd?
It depends on many things, we were happy to drive this car and it was absolutely fine. A 4x4 would of course be easier but the Nissan Kicks did have a decent amount of ground clearance which helps. This is one of the craziest roads we’ve ever taken on (along with the route to Hornocal in Northern Argentina) we took it slow and steady despite all the huge tourist trucks flying up and down 😬 we didn’t want to end up like the car we saw flipped over or the bus for that matter. There’s evidence of how dangerous the road is all the way along so would just choose the mode of transport you feel comfortable with.
Thanks so much for watching you lovely people!😊

Glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much 😊 the flamingos in this part of the world are seriously hardy birds! 🦩
Impresionante paisaje, yo como chileno de Rancagua, en la zona central del país aún no conozco, pero espero ir algún día.

Thanks for your reply. Highly appreciated.
YOU CAN BOILD YOUR EEGS IN THE HOT WATER.
Can imagine they would boil very well in there! 🥵😄
So where is the video of your drive?? What can we expect?
Did you say minus 20 degrees🤯? In which time of the year?
Yes freezing cold, this is the drive, it is dark at 4am when everyone drives up so we filmed the road coming back down in daylight.
until when they stay in chile
We stayed for just over a month in Chile.
