Andrew Woolfolk was my saxophone teacher when I first moved to California . I snuck into an Earth Wind and Fire rehearsal and met him and he agreed to give me some lessons which he did for about 3 years ! A great guy! He will be missed....

I told him that the chart looked difficult to play. He said "Nonsense, you can play this" We went through it a couple of times, and I caught on. I told him "This is different from what I 'm used to hearing from EWF." He said that it was their new single. It was the horn chart for "Serpentine Fire "!!!!

The Brotha, was apart of the most Successful Band of the 1970's. going into the early 80's/EW&F...but, It was Music Arranger, Composer, and Music Producer. Charles Stepney. Who took there sound to another level. he died young back in 1976. at 45...Peace to both of those Afrikan Brothas.
Sweet Angel. You and the band were the epitome of my growing up. You shall be missed. Bands members. Sorry for this precious loss. Yall keep Yall's heads up and wait on a glorious and blessed reunion.

They helped me alot along my spiritual journey from Christianity into spirituality and for that I'm truly grateful 👁🌎💫🙏🏼🕯🪶💫 I will definitely light a candle for him tonight for sure 💛🌻 may his transition be peaceful to the other side🕊🕊🕊🕊 My condolences to his family❤
Andrew Woolfolk has gone on to HEAVEN to be with God 🙏🤲 and the Angels also when he arrives he will see Maurice White's smiling face and other famous musicians that has gone on over but he along with Maurice White will be smiling that EWF is still carrying on the legacy that Maurice started so Andrew Woolfolk RIP because we know your joining the alot of your friends but you will be blessed so rest on in music 🎶🎵

Look up his brother Darryl Woolfolk...did some work wit hi ad he's a great drummer. Andrew is better heard o the "Gratitude" live album paying sax on Africano and Sun Goddess. The sax on "Reasons" is Don Myrick, who was shot and killed by LAPD.
