This concert film, "Home Invasion Live" is one of the best concert films I've ever seen. I love Detonation!

What a great fun tune!! Yeah, the first time I heard this sing I went “whhhaaaat” my wife actually hame up with choreography for this song. She’s a huge PT and SW fan as well!

This song was really controversial when the album came out with a lot of fans really hating it and accusing him of selling out. I've always assumed they were mainly fans that came over from Opeth fandom during PT's last few albums that had a more metal sound. There's always been a strong vein of pop running through his music, just usually less undiluted. He took so much shit for this song that it's really nice to see someone love it on first listen.

Steven Wilson has often stated that he grew up with his parents record collection, equally enjoying Abba, Donna Summer and Pink Floyd - to this very day. The range of his musical taste is phenomenal. This song also shows he can write radio friendly songs, which -in another universe I guess- have great hit potential. Fan favourite Porcupine Tree song ''Trains'' was about the best candidate ever, but the American record company Lava decided on ''Blackest Eyes''. It was a big surprise to find this Permanating on the ''To the Bone'' album, and of course some so called ''fans'' were negative, but one of the great things about SW is that he can basically do whatever he wants, as he's as independant as one can be. It has an ELO-vibe an even hints at the Beatles (''Yesterday'' in the lyrics). I thoroughly enjoy your reaction, and yes, the Bombay Dancers came on stage in the Royal Albert Hall, for that particular concert. A very nice touch.

the dancers are from the video from the single. Nice touch to bring a few of them to the show.
Greetings from England. Love your channel.

.......another SW song from To the Bone that you might like which is a little popish is his song....Nowhere Now....

You're not kidding! This song is like Steven Wilson just took his first dose of Wellbutrin and got the pop of the "happies"! Watching the dancers reminds me of watching little children just jumping around in joy, dancing to the music with reckless abandon. Definitely a change of pace.

So different from everything else he's done. His only song I can sneak in a party playlist 😅 You should take a look at Detonation from this same live album, you're going to love it !

Yeah. This song is outstanding ... Watching it live after a quite few melancolic songs is great, like fresh air 🤣🤣
    Loved it
I'm still hoping u react more from THE FUTURE BITES ALBUM:
-UNSELF+SELF (they are together. But only SELF has a video 😔)
    -KING GHOST (video)
    -MAN OF THE PEOPLE (video)
    -12 THINGS I FORGOT
    -EMINENT SLEAZE (video)

One of the few songs by Steve that I don’t like.
I’m surprised you got requests for it but hey… it’s better than ABBA 😂
Now what don’t you try something else from Steven like Blackfield?
It’s not PROG but it’s good, some of it is very good!
Try their first song “open mind”

He had been remixing ‘Tears for fears’ and i think some of it rubbed off. No issue with that, they were/are a great band and Steven proved he can do pop better than most
