@@chrispyynugget1537 Yes like he's the one telling everything by himself, without even realizing, he just spilled everything you need to know by himself
Heart-wrenching, but I love that whole segment. It read like a message to all lost teenagers/young adults in life out there. Gave me hope too. It's amazing what one non-action based game can do with beeps and imagery lol
For me Logic Chess is very reminiscent of dating simulator conversations where the goal is not to anger the person too much and basically be tactful and careful with how you choose your words. Still a cool mehchanic, gives Edgeworth an opportunity to have a unique power. =)
Logic Chess in a nutshell: Edgey: What's 2 + 2? Killer: It's 5. Edgey: You seem to know basic math. Killer: Of course. Everyone knows that 2 + 2 = 4. Edgey: So what's 2 + 2? Killer: As I said, it's 5!
This is probably the most realistic gimmick. Edgeworth is basically just talking to someone while the chess game is in his head. Phoenix just shoves the Magatama in someone’s face while Apollo is staring down the witness through a bracelet very intensely.
As someone who played this AFTER DD and SoJ, I like how the Thought Route seemed to have been taken from this mechanic. Since the team who made the Investigations games also made the two mainline games on the 3DS, it's plausible they recycled the idea of using logical thinking as a mechanic. But this is leagues better than Thought Route even so.
Everyone else's mechanics have something to do with a magic artifact or a crazy gadget. But not Edgeworth. He autisms you to death with the powers of his special interest
I was thinking........How to use logic chess IRL? BTW I've heard these answers even before "Just throw chess pieces on the witness" and "send the witness to chess dimension". IK these are jokes but I'm gonna say it, but both are aesthetic, stuff just for sake of making it look cooler, but not affecting it in any other way so you can use logic chess WITHOUT those things. I understand that logic chess is conversation manipulation and interrogation but without torture and stuff, just using words, as Edgy said once. But I want to know how to PRACTICALLY apply it, especially the problem with logic Chess IRL is the "wait and see" option. Like letting them calm down would work in lowering their defense but it won't carry the conversation much forward and they won't slip up so easily IRL, unlike the ones in AAI2 who say something useful after calming down. So can anyone answer my question pls? EDIT: I kinda got a Idea for what to do instead of waiting and seeing IRL. Once the opponent calms down, immediately on the moment they calm down ask a question which they won't suspect and will give a clue related to the stuff they got angry and on-guard about. The only problem is.........I can't find a good example in all logic chess sequences I've done so far................ but I guess it will work right? *sigh* now I'm starting to hate the wait and see option in logic chess..............it's just TOO UNREALISTIC..........ugh......ok I guess I'll give some I thought of......... *spoiler.....?* in Nicole's logic chess she gets angry on you and says you will get no info from her, you wait and see, both start conversing on how she diving too deep in this will cause her to get in danger, she replies that a few gunshots will not stop her, meaning she HEARD the gunshots and knows SOMETHING. So here instead of wait and see we can ask "wouldn't it be too dangerous if you try diving too deep? like someone attacking you to keep your mouth shut? or someone here getting attacked and you getting hurt by mistake?" and she will say "NOTHIN CAN STOP ME! NOT EVEN GUNSHOTS!" then reply "if you have nothing to tell, HOW DO YOU KNOW THERE WERE GUNSHOTS!?" *spoiler... I guess?* or in Larry's logic chess you ask his purpose to come on the place where the crime scene is, he gets angry saying how could a artist not belong in art gallery, you wait, he talks about making your portrait now that's you're silent and not moving and scribble on it to show his anger, you wait, he says he's joking, Edgy replies that his works won't qualify as art, he gets angry saying there are people who recognize his talent. you wait, then he mentions his girlfriend who "fell in love with his art and him". so here what we can do is on 1st wait and see just stay like a statue, let him carry forward for now, on 2nd say " but why would you scribble your own "art"? no artist does that, not even in anger" the conversation will go like how it did ingame, on 3rd ask "can you tell someone who really likes you "art" ? someone who loves it? I will believe you only when you tell me someone like that" THEN he will mention his girlfriend, giving you a idea of why he came here. see? It can work
gustavia: “my son couldn’t taste the desserts i made”
edgeworth: *”was he too fat”*
lol
Larry: "I'll draw your portrait and scribble all over it!"
Edgeworth: *"All your drawings are scribbles"*
Sebastain: (is having a mental breakdown after being kidnapped by his own dad)
Edgeworth: *You’re a failure as a person*
Bonus:
Courtney: When I consider what might happen to that child if I talk…
Edgeworth: “you consider Sebastian a child”
