Hey, I'm the TH-cam member mentioned in the credits. I already mentioned this in the Project Stresa movie, but I won't be able to make monthly payments because I don't have a steady source of income since I'm a minor. But I hope that the little I gave helps. Thanks for your amazing work .
I know it ain't something in form of this channel but i would honestly be intrested in eventually having figures of the GDP when we hit close to modern days
Very good video! Your Stresa Front series was a nice project to listen to throughout the months. I noticed multiple songs used here are the same as from this video th-cam.com/video/31biTFvJlFo/w-d-xo.html (Modern TNO Mapping | The Great Asian War | Every Day). Did you take musical inspiration from this video?

I think it's wrong, give me a reason why the Soviet Union could somehow magically lose in this timeline, Germany, obviously even though it had the same power as the Nazis in the timeline ours, it still can never win against the Soviet Union, no matter how good the opportunity is, as you have overlooked, the original enemies of Britain and Germany were France and Italy, going to war with the Soviet Union is Unthinkable, Britain and France in real time did not declare war on the Soviet Union even though they invaded Poland along with Germany, the simple reason is that a Berlin-Moscow bloc would be the end of the military's victory. allies, whether the US participates in the war or not, so assuming you let the Soviet Union participate in the war, with the above scenario, I only see another eastern front that is less genocidal, longer lasting, with a few atomic bombs were dropped and the result was still a red flag on the Reichstag, the Soviet Union was too strong, from the beginning it had the 2nd largest industry in the world after the US and unlimited human resources and resources. term, military power increases day by day, don't use the story "Lend-Lease", it is true that it was approved in 1941, but you probably know, it was approved after America entered the war, when That is, the Soviet counteroffensive phase of the Battle of Moscow took place on December 5th, oh, you know, that was "two days" earlier than America's entry into the war, before with only British support and essentially Most of the cargo and equipment ships were sunk by submarines into the ocean before reaching the Soviet Union, and you also know that after Pearl Harbor, it took the United States about 6 months to redeploy its power in the Soviet Union. Pacific, that is for themselves, and Lend-Lease support really only began to flow to the eastern front in mid-1943, after the Soviet Union had essentially crushed all possibilities Germany's strategic ground attack, from here alone, the Soviet Union could slowly defeat the German army. The Axis in Europe at this time did not have the slightest chance of victory, that's why, in In fact, the only thing that could defeat the Soviet Union was to mobilize the entire power of Europe at that time and have America actively participate in the war, otherwise victory would not be certain, go back to your timeline. , the German atomic bomb could indeed be built in your hypothesis and used, but it would require air support, and you say it was 1944, if you don't count the terrible industrial capacity of the Soviet Union. Let's not forget that this will only ensure the hatred of the people on the other side of the front line, you said, and finally ignore it, in the far east, Japan attacks and may provoke an uprising against the Russians in the Soviet far east, oh, let's ignore the power of the Soviet tanks and the disaster of the Japanese army in land battles, the only time they won on land was against China and the attack surprise attack on Southeast Asia, not to mention I hope they won't go wild and behead people for fun like they did in China, not to mention, attacking the Soviet Union would guarantee millions The Chinese army has a chance to attack the Japanese army's very thin flank, which means the British will have to support and when the American navy enters the war, the British navy will be damned.
I think it's obvious you didn't pay attention to the video. If you paid attention to Loredad's points, then you'll note that the Soviet Union is attacking on 3 fronts. West, south, and east. As well as the people involved in the war and logistics. The western part of the SU is where the mass majority of Its industrial base is located and the more land that is taken away from the SU, the less industrial capability it has. Especially when you consider that it has to divert resources to the Ural mountains and build more factories there just to compensate for that setback. That is without taking into consideration that a more liberal Germany means that way more people would deflect to the Saxon allies just to free themselves from the hands of the oppressive Soviet regime. Plus the fact that Germany has more nations aiding in its eastern front and nukes means that the situation for the Soviet Union in the eastern front will be worse off than in our timeline. As for the South, the Soviet Union is capable of beating up all of the militaries of the Middle East combined. However, you must take into consideration that Turkey, Persia, and Afghanistan are all mountainous. Mountains are a terrible place for modern armies to fight due to the rugged terrain which makes moving armored vehicles and tanks difficult. Plus the Soviet Union had to occupy those countries and not just move all of its troops just to fight off the guerilla fighters that threatened to overthrow the puppet governments that the Soviet Union would set up. So the SU can't just use most of its men in the western front. Otherwise, the South will be vulnerable to attack. For the Far East, I doubt that the Soviet Union is going to focus heavily on fighting the Japanese when its Western and Southern flanks are a bigger priority. Plus the Japanese army is bigger in comparison to the SU army in the Far East. (I'm not talking about troops numbers in total). Now while the Soviet land army is greater than the Japanese army in quality, I doubt they'd be able to focus on keeping the Japanese army out of the Far East while protecting its West and South. So the SU will sacrifice its holdings in the Far East until it can defeat the Saxon allies in the South and West (If that's possible). However, the one crucial detail you're missing that you never took into consideration is the quality of the Soviet army. See, just because you have more manpower than everyone else doesn't mean that you'll be able to lead those men properly. Just because you have more resources than everyone doesn't mean that you'll be able to use them more effectively or get them when the supply chain is disrupted or destroyed. Having more tanks, aircraft, or vehicles doesn't automatically guarantee that you'll just overpower the other with less quantity. The quality of equipment matters just as much and the Soviet weapon quality is lacking in comparison to German or British quality of military equipment. Plus unlike in our timeline, Germany's industrial center will barely get bombed and has been picking up speed since the early 1940s while the Soviet industrial base will get constantly bombarded by Airplanes and taken away via conquest. German airplanes have superior quality in comparison to Soviet aircraft with better speed and radar. So it's only a matter of time before much of the Soviet aircraft gets destroyed. Also, the Russians aren't just gonna keep fighting after getting one of their cities nuked. By that logic, the Japanese would never have surrendered until all of their lands are subjugated. The SU is the biggest country in the world, but if most or their entire western heartland gets ripped out or destroyed, then they're are done for. Moscow is the center of the nation's supply line and politics. Stalingrad is the most industrious city in the union. Leningrad is a source of major pride within the Soviet Union. If any or all of these cities are taken away, that's going to hurt the Soviet's ability to fight a war. Stalin will do everything he can to fight until the last man, but the other government officials aren't gonna put up with it, especially when Stalingrad gets nuked. So Stalin will likely be executed or jailed in order to keep the Union as autonomous as possible. Look, the Soviet Union is not invincible. Sure, they have a greater quantity of men, equipment, and resources, but quantity is not an automatic win. The quality of weapons, the organization and experience of soldiers, the use of resources to create greater weapons, and the conditions of each nation is just as important for determining who will win a war in a hypothetical scenario. The Soviet Union has a lackluster weapons quality compared to Germany, a vulnerable industrial and supply center, worse logistics, and a tyrannical regime that get more people to deflect to the other side. All of these ensure that the SU has barely a chance to make it through. Plus since Lend lease only picks up by 1943 and is likely to be cancelled by then, I doubt the SU would be able to gain the upper hand in quality anytime soon. There's too much going against the SU and it's only a matter of time until they surrender, one way or another. If you're going to criticize an alternate history scenario, they everything presented in the video into consideration and do your research before you make a statement. Otherwise, you're just spreading misinformation about another person's point. Hope this helps.
@@michaelmcgrath6552There was defectors on eastern front but they werent defecting from a supposed tyranical regime but to depose the socialist system and restore capitalism aka betrayal. And given how the entire war was fought on soviet soil many people did not want to be on losing side.
@@economicserfdom4087 You do know that the Soviet Union was under Stalin's regime back in the day right???. We're talking about the same dictator who under his regime ordered the starvation of millions of Ukrainians, sent a million and more people to the Gulags for forced labor, forcibly deported many Kulaks to Siberia and Central Asia which harmed Soviet agriculture, and ordered the massacre of 22,000 polish officers and military men after the Soviet Union had just invaded Poland alongside Nazi Germany. I'm pretty damn sure Stalin's a dictator. Even if those defectors wanted to replace the communist system with capitalism, Stalin's regime and the horrors that came along with it gave those defectors plenty of reasons to rebel against the SU with Nazi Germany. Even if such collaboration would've resulted in a greater evil subjecting and enslaving the Russians there.
