Scary times looking back at the mind altering drugs. Music didn't need to be enhanced with unknown substances. It's a real eye opener know looking back. Was this all part of the social engineering for the youth of this era? It's certainly a topic for discussion.
I think the BPM's have been pitched-up slightly in this set, although many of these were brand new and fresh tunes at this point and most of these ravers hadn't heard music as fast and hectic as this back in April '92. You can see how the music evolved and later on separated into jungle and happy hardcore from this. top notch anyway.

This. Is absolutely everything. In this era I was spinning nightclubs on the east coast, and it's an incredibly memorable part of my story.
I used to love all the happy piano, techno and vocal tunes of the time. I hated it when the hardcore wave swept in and took over the dance floor, the hardcore attracted all the knob heads who were much more about just the drugs and getting twatted and not the music.
