That £20,000 offer at 5-box was disgusting! I'm glad Alex recognized it was a terrible offer, but to then have the worst possible round at worst moment it could happen was the ULTIMATE in cruelty! This is also right up there with Lynn from May 2007 as one of the most shocking changes in atmosphere in the history of the show - From being one of the most entertaining games of all time to the studio being deathly silent and Alex being in tears once the game came crashing down in the last round 😥
Alex got really cheated there. To have an all blue round at such an important late stage in the game and for the offer only to go up £14,500 to £20,000 was such an extremely poor uplift, it basically forced him on to a crash. Also, this game definitively disproved Noel's and The Banker's claim that the best start is hitting all the low reds lol.

The banker KNEW he would NOT take such a low offer of £20K with this 5-box configuration. The banker took a big gamble by "Low balling" him and drove him onto his path of destruction. A VERY thin line between confidence and arrogance... And "Alex" crossed the line at 27:58 in the video The banker "Wiped the floor with him" for his cheek. He took a dislike to "Alex" ... Remember the banker played the player with the offers and NOT the board. Though the history of this show the banker did make some mistakes and got "Spanked" but on this occasion, the banker "Played a blinder" and wiped the floor with this arrogant fool.
