“The look u make when u ask for an opinion and dont like the answer” 🤣🤣🤣 thats me ALL THE TIME !! Love how u transform every space into something so nice and useful
For real.. you motivated me... I'm cleaning and organizing my office.. I made 4 bags... a lot stuff accumulate... I storage my books, bibles, until I move out... all my nieces made me too, in boxes... I'm not done yet.. but it feel free... It take 2 days.. I'm in wheelchair so I take my time... anxiety and stress make me clean.. and your videos are motivating me.... thanks...
As someone who has been married for almost 33 years I'm going to make a prediction. The way both of you worked together, communicated, laughed, decided and ultimately came to an agreement on the final outcome of the office.....your marriage will last a lifetime. Your love and respect for one another comes across and you both should be very proud of yourselves. All the best to you from Columbus, Ohio. (and oh yeah...Kyles new office ROCKS ! )
Wonderful! Goal achieved: masculine office space! My favorite part is the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution...as a red-blooded American and a Veteran I truly love and appreciate those documents!!!
Snake plants are one of the easiest to take care of, so you picked a good one. I just got one too. They also work in low light and basically a variety of lighting conditions, but probably do best with indirect. I try to gradually rotate mine ever so often. It's always better to under water than over water, especially in wintertime. I generally check mine a week after watering by sticking a fingertip in the soil by roughly an inch or so. Some say two week's, but it'll depend on how much water you use, drainage, and your climate. Wait until the soil is dried out before watering the next time. Setting a reminder on my phone helps. As you water, do it evenly around the perimeter of the plant. I think fertilizing is just with all-purpose fertilizer during growing season (early in spring). Keep them in a room that's above 50F. You can repot every few years as they apparently do well potbound.
Oh my gosh I love how this office turned out. I’m not good at decorating at all but I will definitely use some of your ideas when I’m ready to decorate my office. Thank you girlfriend!!! ❤️
Love it! 💕 I work full time from home and my office is right when you walk in the front door like your old one. My husband's is upstairs and nice and quiet. After I saw your switcheroo I suggested to him we switch.. he isn't budging lol. We just got his office complete a few months ago so we'll see if he comes around eventually lol. I work in mine 8-12 hours a day so it only seems fair I get my way 🤷♀️😂
Haha love it! Kyles office is so convenient, but it is better for my to have mine secluded since, like you, I work for hours on end in mine & it helps to keep me focused. Good luck!!
The snake plant is very good with helping with air quality. I started with a little one like that and of course they grew. We ended up with five pots and the five became 10 pots, and of course I had to keep dividing and giving them away so almost everybody I know got a snake plant. Beautiful office. Tfs.
My husband surprised me with one of those file bins and the matching drawer. The drawer is used for my coffee pods and the file bin is used on our kitchen desk area. It's now in our school room doing a great job looking awesome with school papers.
Whenever the hair goes up I know we’re about to get down to business! 😂 I love Kyle’s office. It came out great! Also, the plant is sometimes called a Mother in Law’s tongue. They’re really easy to take care of. They just want a little water and sunlight.
@@ThisCrazyLife Just water it every 2 to 3 weeks, make sure the soil gets a nice soak but prevent the roots from sitting in water. When the soil has been completely dry for a while you can water it again :) By the way, it's a sanseveria and it can have little babies :)
Oh I love your hubby's redecorated office ❤ I am in the process of decorating my office at the moment and will keep your suggestions in the forefront of my head as I add the finishing touches 💐🌿🎨🧵💚💙😁
Snake plants are fairly simple to take care of. They don't like too much water. I water mine every 2 weeks. They also do well in any light but prefer bright light. I love the new office.
It looks great! I'm sure Kyle loves it. You know, before I thought it was just a funny quirk Kyle had about being so precise. Now that I know he's an air traffic controller I'm really glad he's that way! You did a great job at getting decor appropriate for a guy. Well done!
Love this makeover. The snake plant is a very easy plant to care for and it’s a great air purifier so it’s good for you home. Just water once a week works for this plant and if you forget once in a while it’s fine. Super easy plant to care for. Great choice. I have one as well. 🌱♥️
I love your makeover videos, dear Amanda 😊😊😊! Great job with your husband 🙂. I agree with you specialy in one : plants as a decorations are very important, not matter real or fake, our home spaces are most beatiful and cozy with them 🙂. Send my love to you ❤️❤️❤️.
So cute!!! 100% my style, I love it! And those file boxes! Thank you, thank you for posting a link to those! Now we can chuck out our old file cabinet! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m actually planning to add that back in, I was going to put it on the grey pillow that was there, but I have to get a new pillow insert since it turns out the one that came with the couch isn’t an insert lol
Hahah you’re cracking me up when you said when we don’t like their answer! That’s the same face I make too! 🤣🤣🤣 I loved everything about this makeover! You did so good!
Hey Amanda!! I am a plant fanatic even though I only have around 40 houseplants not including outside😅 The live plant is a snake plant. They can survive in low light but where you have it will give it a good amount of light. In the winter water it once every couple weeks and during warmer months water them once a week. Also as a rule of thumb stick your finger into the soil to the second knuckle near the plant and if its dry then water it. You can also get a water meter from Amazon if you don’t want to do that.
Wow everything looked so beautiful ,well done. As for the plant dont water too much , a mist spray just on the leave and a tiny drop of water in the soil, to keep it healthy and shiny use the inside of a banana skin , a little wipe over the leaves it gives it a lot of nutrients and makes the leaves shiny xxxx
Love this! Next time you need to clean the cold air return grate, put it in the dishwasher!! it works like a charm for me! I lay them in the bottom and run them by them selves to clean all 4 in my house at once!
Snake plants are super resilient! My (practically a botanist) mother-in-law gave me one as they're also known as mother-in-law's tongue plants. My thumb is certainly not the greenest and I'll often forget to water it but that thing is still thriving because of that! If I remember correctly, they like indirect sunlight best and you shouldn't water them too often as they're prone to root rot so make sure the water can drain. Not sure if the pot yours is in has a drain hole or not.
I'm a little late, but the "snake plant" "Mother in laws tongue" is nearly impossible to kill. You can overwater and not hurt it and not water is and its fine 👍I think it will be just fine. Personally I let mine dry out, soak it and repeat. ❤️
Omg watching you clean the floor vents was so satisfying! Haha 😆 I’m so excited for Kyle and his new office!! I’m building a new office for myself soon too. Just waiting for a few things. So i know how exciting this process is! 😍 I love the snake plant!!
Turned out great! Very rustic and masculine. You two make a good team. I'm from Philly so We The People speaks of home to me. If you guys ever get a chance to travel to Philadelphia and visit the historic area and, of course, the Liberty Bell, do it. It's a great trip. Love your videos!
Snake plants are super low maintenance. Just water once a week and not too much! Also I suggest to use planters with holes on the bottom so that water doesn’t pool and stagnate. It also allows for aeration. I’ve made my own planters by drilling holes out of the bottom of containers. Good luck 👍 💜☘️🌱🌿
Turned out great. Love how you both work as a team. And l totally agree with the measuring. Nothing worse putting up a picture and then you look from afar and it's slightly off. My OCD would get the better of me lol. Looking forward to seing more of your room makeovers.
The transformation came out great! I watched the family vlog and saw how you struggled with the entertainment center. I can't wait to see how the boys room come out. You do such an amazing job at transforming rooms.
I was planning to use two pillow covers, but it turned out the one that came with the couch wasn’t an insert lol so I could only use one for now, but Kyle liked the brown too so I might grab another insert & swap them out for him🤍
HI Amanda and Kyle just got done watching this video and you guys did an awesome job ..love shelf and fhe file where did they come from...you and your husband are like me and my husband. I love your videos get alot of ideas from you..thank you..Amanda your plant water it when the soil is dry..have a great night and for sharing your life
Love it! Snake plants shouldn’t be over watered or have the leaves get wet. I use a glass full of ice cubes. They melt slow and won’t drain out the bottom into your wood furniture.
Snake plants are pretty hardy. They don't need a ton of water. Let the dirt dry out in between watering and it looks like that room gets good light so it should be good :) beautiful office!
Love it! It looks so good and great that Kyle helped with it too. I loved the crystal rock diffuser you placed on book shelf and the picture above couch is gorgeous!
Haha love you two.... you guys are always so silly when you work together but it's awesome.... love the makeover.... looks amazing. Awesome job as always amanda and kyle. Love your videos!!!!!💜🇨🇦😊

Love the masculine look but at the same time the clean and feminine touches to make it look homey. I just love it. Great job.
Wonderful! Goal achieved: masculine office space! My favorite part is the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution...as a red-blooded American and a Veteran I truly love and appreciate those documents!!!
I love the way you always work WITH Kyle when he's putting things together or fixing things. You're irreplaceable.
OOPS! I meant to write "indispensable." Of course you can't be replaced - ever. Sorry.
Thank you!!
It looks really good. My husband would like that set up. My favorite piece is the clock.

It's nice, great for your husband.. Calming vibe exactly what he needs.

I actually liked that burnt orange/brown pillowcase. It added a nice pop of masculine color.

Very nice I actually really liked the contrast of the darker brown pillowcase cover with striped one but it still looks really good nice job
I was planning to use two pillow covers, but it turned out the one that came with the couch wasn’t an insert lol so I could only use one for now, but Kyle liked the brown too so I might grab another insert & swap them out for him🤍

Gorgeous office! Yes the snake plant or "mother in law's tongue" is a very forgiving plant. We water pretty infrequently once a week or once every two weeks and it's still beautiful. Also the snake plant is a NASA approved natural air purifier!
Love it! New office looks so good!!

Snake plants are soooo easy to look after! Just water it every now and then when the soil is dry, I only water my snake plant once or twice a week.
Nice job you two. Office looks nice and tidy. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Yessssssss I’m so excited for this video!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

Very nicely done. I don't think his office ended up too masculine at all. Realistically it could be for either a man or a women. Love your taste in decor. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!!
