Some of is hockey players like the other players in the nhl and me have to skate our asses of for 2 minutes straight with only a 30 second to a minute on the bench to catch our breath then do the same thing again over and over again until the end of the game.
Nick R I'm sorry but hockey is more exciting. Having people run into each other at high speed with blades on their feet. Takes more skill, more strength, more stamina, and more durability.
Nick R hockey more skillful, it not just ice skating, you have to skate at high speed, checking, fighting, puck handling, and did i mention that there people that block shots, broken there leg, and they still finish there shift
Just to add to her #9 point. The NHL playoffs are known throughout the world as "The Stanley Cup Playoffs". The NBA Playoffs are just called "the NBA Playoffs", though I suppose calling it the "Larry O'Brien Playoffs" would just sound stupid.
I was going in all NBA but Katie brings up some really great point. There's more discussion about what the players are wearing than ever needs to be in any professional sport. Either way I'm watch both.
I do have respect for NBA playoffs but actually think, the NHL overtime gets you put of your seat because one goal will finish the game. In NBA they can get a basket but the other team will have lots of time to come back. Also In the NHL I personally believe you're playing for the better, larger trophies than just a 10-12" golden hoop with a little ball on top. But this is just my opinion and that doesn't mean that I am perilously hating on NBA playoffs.
Yaseen Pannu add to that, the NHL playoffs, and the majority of the regular season, is a 60 minute adrenaline rush, the NBA playoffs are normally only exciting in the final 5 minutes, and even then it's only if the game is like a 5-6 point margin, and the regular season, only crazy thing is a buzzer beater, and most people get overly gassed(unnecessarily at times) about a dunk.
I remember a time back in the day when the NBA playoffs were great and the NHL playoffs back in the day were also great. However in the last 15 years or so, it's not even close the NHL blows the NBA away, but even with that being said - I miss the playoff atmospheres of both leagues from 20 to 30 years ago.

Enn 11 did you see the 2010-2011 Stanley cup playoffs when Boston came back down 3 games to 1 in the finals? There are more game 7s in hockey than there are in any other sport.
Dustin Brown I have to agree with you. The 2009-2010 Stanley cup finals came down to a game 7 after a very close battle. There are also plenty on the nhl now in the 2018 finals. Just because of one "exciting" play off round doesn't beat any other sport with game 7's all of the time
Americans like the NBA because Americans are the best at it the same reason why we like baseball and football. Hockey is a sport that should appeal to Americans it's fast and violent. But because Canadians are better than us we ignore it as a sport
retsaf1 You really can't use the "two American teams in the final" argument. Out of the 46 active roster players (23 for both teams) only 11 of them are actually American born players (6 on the Rangers, 5 on the Kings). That is less than 24%. However, out of those 46 players, guess how many are Canadian? 26. Each team has 13 Canadian players on their rosters. That's more than 56% of the players that are active roster members in the finals. Hockey is definitely a Canadian game.

Canada America same shit bunch of white people who took over native American land. Basketball is a global sport like soccer the best athletes. Hackey is white people. American football is America and baseball is America with some in Asia and the Caribbean
The NHL Playoffs are clearly better than NBA playoffs. And frankly, it surprises me that Americans even still watch NBA basketball (though the ratings are in decline over the last 10 years). Americans justifiably hate Soccer, and for many of the same reasons, they should hate the NBA: The league is filled with whiny crybabies, all they do is complain to the refs, they flop all over the place to draw a call, they fake injuries when there was barely any contact, and the league is filled with a handful of superstars and a bunch of no-names that no one cares about.
+JVIPER88 In the NHL, nearly every team has a superstar. NBA, only like 5-10 teams have a true superstar. And there are teams with several superstars...Oh yes, the NBA is the most competitive league in the world :P
Al Capwned The NBA has the least parity of any of the major American sports. The same teams win over and over again. Well, I have no idea who the defendant champ is. LOL I read in Canadian site that last year, NHL playoffs rating was down 61% because no Canadian team made it to the playoffs. Which means it is because of belonging. My team is out, I'm out.
hmm, what should I watch, Brutal jaw breaking eye gauging on ice, or men dribbling balls and blowing in each others ear? Game of Thrones, or Mr. Rogers Neighborhood?
A little late, but just started to watch your TH-cam stuff Katie. Hockey is the best at all levels. Compare a high school basketball game (a sleeper, as one guy stands and dribbles the ball for 15 seconds, or the team forms a half circle and passes the ball around the perimeter--boring) compared to a HS hockey game where it is fast and furious for the entire time. I enjoy all of your work.
#nhlisbetter @katienolan What other trophy in sports can you have for a day...and drink out, or bath your child. I believe Patrick Elias did that for an ESPN ad when the Devils won the Cup.
I never used to like Hockey, but now I'm seriously into it. I don't know why it flew under my radar for so long but now It's second only Baseball for me.
EXACTLY HOW I FEEL your totally right metal and hockey both are like very unpopular and considered dumb but most people can't play a simple metal riff or ice skate with 9 other guys and 5 want to kill you.
+Mike 24 First off why would I ever message you? Second off you basically sum up all internet arguments, nothing to back it up no fact hell you don't even have an opinion you just say "no" and "don't message me" like anybody wants to.
+Mike 24 You call these messages? That's cute, and ok gladly metal has never been widely compared to classical music and the people that play it are real musicians I mean there's a reason why when everyone talks about some of the great contemporary musicians they talk about metal artists. I mean have you ever seen an all time great guitar players list that didn't include Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Richie Blackmore, Slash and if you want to go into other accomplished musicians you can take Dave Lombardo whose in accomplished drummer in many different fields but still plays in a metal band anyone that follows the mainstream thinks metal musicians aren't real musicians and they rip on them but if they didn't know how to play how come they are constantly praised for being great musicians by people that play classical music? Oh metal isn't real music? I guess Nikki Manij is more your speed or all the talent Katy Perry has. And I'm starting to think you've never once played hockey
The NHL playoffs is the only sport when fans sweat more than the players. NBA is more entertainment than sports nowadays. College basketball, however, is a different story....
patotorrat They're obviously not amateurs, or they wouldn't be playing for big time schools like North Carolina and Kentucky. Obviously, the NBA has a higher skill level, but the competitiveness of the rivalries, the more loyal fanbases, and especially March Madness are what sets it apart to me.
Unfortunately, I have a NFL/College football obsessive-compulsive disorder. Therefore, I couldn't care less what happens after the first week of February until the NFL pre-season. But, I hope that all of you watching sports at this time have fun.
Ruben Perez LOL! You were a hockey fan all along! The NBA will always be #1! People who like the nba: World leaders, celebrities, and the average citizen. People who like the nhl: KKK, Nazi, Rich white people, and bums.
Katie, have you been watching too many Blackhawks games and are starting to think every team gets to dress an extra guy in a black & white jersey? Because number 3: 21? Think you mean 20, or more realistically, 19 (backup goalie stays on the bench.) Or I guess maybe 23, since that many can take the warm up skate before submitting your roster of 20 for the game. Regardless, point is valid, 19>5, and I agree, NHL is better.
Those were all opinions as to why she likes hockey, not actually facts that it's better. This is all a matter of upbringing and preference. If you grew up watching and/or playing a certain sport, that is what you will continue to do. Except baseball. Fuck baseball.
NBA: The AC goes out in the middle of the NBA Finals and LeBron gets a cramp. He needs 2 people to help him limp back to the bench. NHL: Paul Kariya gets knocked unconscious in the Stanley Cup Finals by an elbow shot from Scott Stevens, he snaps back into consciousness and comes back to the bench 4 game minutes later, and scores a goal before the end of the period. You tell me which league is better.
I'm a bigger basketball fan than hockey fan and I totally agree. The NBA playoffs are boring because most years there's less than a handful of teams that are real contenders. I can't think of the last time the NBA had 4 teams that were legitimate title contenders
This year, despite my local champion Golden State Warriors going for another run in the NBA Playoffs. I will be dedicating my Spring watching my hometown heroes, the San Jose Sharks try for their first Stanley Cup! And why would I focus more on a team that has less of a chance of winning the Cup than the one that has at repeating as NBA Champs? I've got 4 1/2 words for you: "BECAUSE IT"S THE CUP". end of discussion. Go Sharks Go!
***** so classy bro. so you are shouting that you are homophobic to prove a point? i hate baseball as well. but you just come across as an ass hat in that comment.
So this is just about the 1 year anniversary of this vid and now and lets look at the facts The NBA Finals ratings are 3 times the size of the NHL,Anthony Davis,Steph Curry,LeBron,James Harden,KD, Russell Westbrook,Lamarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin,CP3 are some of the most marketable stars since the 90s ,ABC had their best ratings ever without NY or LA team last night, the new TV deal kicks in, salary caps are going up,NBA growing exponentially in Asia,......ect. Stop comparing please you embarass yourself. The NHL and NBA aren't even in the same stratosphere. FIFA is corrupt and the NBA may conquer the world.
tynitty516 Basketball is boring. Once the NHL starts actually promoting itself in other regiens and the big teams start winning, it will become popular. The top 5 most costly teams in the NHL are not the best. Think about that. Don't compare worth with entertainment. I fall asleep during a playoff game for NBA. NHL? My god it is exciting. Every second.
runenodragon Damn dude. I'm just pointing out facts. This post is like 2 weeks ago before the "BEST" ratings were even calculated. I've been watching BBall for 30 years. I remember JORDAN actually loosing. It's fine if you like HOCKEY but don't ignore facts. Toronto RAPTORS fans are amazing BTW. I never in a million years thought an expansion team would dominate the league in attendance while the leafs can't catch a break. The funny thing is honestly i dont think the NBA cares about ratings even with the 20 + million viewers. It wants to rival soccer hence Adam Silver wants to legitimize betting.
+tynitty516 man if this finals went to game 7, it would have broke jordans ratings. NBA has superstars that everyone in the world knows, nobody knows nhl players other than hockey fans. The NFL preseason had more views than this years game 6 nhl finals. PRESEASON. MORE THAN THE FINALS. That should say something.
To quote Katie Nolan in the above video we all supposedly just watched, "just because it's popular and a lot of people are watching it doesn't mean it's good."
alawishis So stop trying to make people watch Hockey. Like your sport and move on. I just don't like NBA haters because they talk out the sides of their mouths. The world loves the NBA just like the world loves The EPL, La LIga. That will never change. 92 Dream team in Barca pretty much cemented this.
Yeah, hate that "Sudden Death Overtime" means lose and stick around for a bit longer. Much more exciting anticipating and watching the Kings end it on a single shot in overtime versus seeing the Heat open up a 10-point lead and then play for 6 more minutes (hypothetical...the Heat will win in regulation.)
1. NHL's (96 seasons') average goal per game is 3.037. NBA's (68 seasons') average points per game is 102.066. Considering the fact, a goal in one NHL game worths 33.588 points in one NBA game. This year's margin of victory in the Stanley Cup's conference finals was 2.000, which means, they won, in basketball stand point, by 67.176 points. Not close at all. But my math is not so arguable, since 1 is 1, and 33.588 is 33.588. Just a fun fact. 2. Kind of arguable. Basketball's beauty is the strategy that coaches make, and it could be NBA's advantage that they have many stoppage times. Time to time, as time runs out, NHL teams just panic, do dumb things, and nothing special happens. But again, It could be advantage ti NHL as well that they don't have stoppage time since it makes the game more spontaneous. Depends on the person who's watching. 3. Not arguable. Without that 5 to 9 players, without them scoring 30 points all together, NBA teams will break down. Same with NHL. There are like 15 guys who doesn't score (if this means "effecting the outcome of a game". But all it matters is that they can give the star players some breathing time. This argument is more for soccer, not basketball. Also, sports is not all about scoring. NBA players, everyone on the team, also should show up, ready to play. 4. This argument just shows that you don't watch NBA games. Every playoffs in every sports are the rewards for their efforts during the regular season. NBA, NHL, NFL, MLS, MLB, any sports. Even golf, if the have one. So many NBA players broke their nose, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, James Harden, And they all made their own masks for the next game to protect their facial bone. 5. Is this an argument? Cause they have same odds of winning as well... 6. Well, for the past 18 years in the NHL Stanley Cup history, no teams blow third seed (in their conference) ever won the Stanley Cup, except for 2012 playoffs which was won by 8th seed LA Kings. So with the data, if your favorite team in the NHL is below third seed, the odd of them winning the Stanley cup is 5.1%. Maybe not as bad as NBA, but still pretty bad. Also it is an obvious thing, because if your team is lower seeded team, that means your team is not as good as the higher seeded teams. Do you think kids who get Ds in daily homework can ace the final exam? Not really. Smh. 7. YES!!! GO NHL!!! 8. No comment. Purely didn't make any sense 9. Very very very trivial part of the game, but actually pretty arguable. LORD STANLEY IS AWESOME. 10. Hmm... Let's just assume you're right although by fact, you're wrong. Now I'm not against NHL. I'm just a guy who likes arguing against things. GO HOCKEY &BASKETBALL!!!
The first round of the NBA playoffs were amazing. Also you can't compare Hockey to Basketball, that's like saying why are soccer games always so close.
How many superstars does NHL have? Now how many superstars does NBA have? Lebron, Curry, Kyrie, D Rose, D Wade, James Harden, Dwight Howard, CP3, Carmelo, Bosh, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin and I can name at least 20 more
1:06 I still don't get why the NBA hasn't fixed this problem. All those timeouts. Why not eliminate them gradually until it's one per game like the NHL?
I disagree when you said in the NBA regular seasons the teams don't try. For instance look at the Chicago Bulls, they were terrible when Derrick Rose was injured again. Then Joakim Noah gave them a spark, and they were heading for the Playoffs. Joakim Noah was the Defensive player of the year, he averaged 11.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 12.6 points 1.2 steals, and 1.3 blocks. I agree with most of your reasons, but if your going to say something ridiculous like that, at least say some NBA teams don't try. Toronto, Charlotte, and Portland really tried. Please give the underdog teams credit.
This is why people hate hockey fans lol. Lots of hockey fans don't even defend their sport but just downplay other sports I like hockey and I can see the appeal with it but almost every hockey fans have like an inferiority complex. You can't even talk about any other sports with them. Which sport or league is better comes down to preference
Anonymous User again that is a terrible insult, where do you come up with these kid. BTW pretty much fans of every single sport in the world if it be soccer, football or hockey downplay other sports. get some actual facts then try to argue instead of pulling random shit out of your ass.
Well, I don't know what the actual odds are but, at least on paper, the Heat and the Spurs are much closer than the Kings and the Rangers. Also, OT goals... not always good. I don't think it's a great way to end a Game 7. I think the NHL playoffs are a lot more entertaining but I still prefer basketball as a sport at this moment.
NHl is the only game besides the nfl your allowed to hit someone as a means to stop them people call nba a contact sport but it isn't anymore than baseball is the contact is only allowed if it is inadvertent if its deliberate your penalized. this puts it in a category of only 2 sports ( of the big 4 don't gimme all your rugby lacrosse crap) unlike the nfl they play more than once a week and some of the top skaters get up to speeds of 30 mph and its plyoffs are all 7 game series there are no shortcuts to claiming champion, no matter what opinions are a hockey player knows whos superior
She has a point but i think that the Nba still better. They hav 32 in the top 100 highest paid players and NHL has none. Its the best paid sport and now its the second most popular after football.NBA is still better
Anyone who thinks basketball is a more skilled game is wack, hockey is a really tricky game getting a shot on net in the nhl is even a slim chance you have to practice your accuracy to get past all the shot blocker defensemen and theres plenty more
Taro Nakahara how come NBA rookies don't usually succeed in their first few years but NHL players do comparatively way better in their first years because to be good at basketball you have to develop in the league and it takes years and years to reach full potential and this just goes to show how much skill you need to be good in the NBA.
You think you hockey fans are the most loyal in the world, but if you look at european football, you are no match for us. I even think the NBA is funner to watch as a european. I mean sure it is a good sport, but, In sports like soccer you see amazing plays and beatiful passing and fans. In NHL it is fast paced, but players always lose possession and there are no entertaining plays to watch. In NBA at least there is beatiful passes dunks half court shots nice dribbling and passing buzzer beaters and much more.
Alexander Henching are you joking? I never thought I'd put it this way but hockey is practically the equivalent of soccer (in the terms that you described), with the add on of speed, intensity, and violence. If you think hockey's boring, then I don't know how you watch soccer, my friend.
#1. although close games in hockey might be more often nba close games are much more exciting. Its harder to score in the NHL than in the NBA therefore i would rather watch a close NBA game than a NHL game #2. OR you could sometimes take a crap and still come back with no new news.. #3. watching the best of the best perform is what fans like to see.. bench the chumps.(this aint highschool) #4 sounds more like a personal opinion... Meaning one could argue the same thing but the other way around... #5 although favorites are decided early in playoffs the finals are hard to predict. she speaks like she knows who is going to win the finals this year when its an even match.. If it was OKC vs Heat.... choosing heat would be a safe bet... #6 she should give statistics evenly.. but hey she said personal opinion.. #7 this is like the only valid reason for me to argue.. One goals and its over..gets you all nervous.. #8 drama? I heard her take shots at the NBA but didnt explain drama in NHL.. Nba has better drama IMO #9 same with hockey? lol hockey isnt so popular.. #10 Ratings are high for a reason.. now she will tell me the superbowl ratings dont matter either...
Basketball is about a consistency of greatness and not idiots who praise a stupid trophy lol. You compare hockey with soccer and yet they're nothing alike. Field hockey and lacrosse have similar rules and that's much more closer to hickey hackey. Hockey looks like a bunch robocops skating gliding around using a bunch of gigantic candy cane Christmas sticks with a beekeeper as a goalie. With a million pads on. If anything soccer and basketball are more similar because it's about ATHLETICISM
YES finally some Americans that actually see how great the NHL is!
***** your ignorance is baffling. Seeing as the vast majority of nhl teams are in the United States, and that it has a very intense following overseas, I would say that hockey is watched by more people than just Canadians. I'm not even gonna start on your choice of adjectives in that statement.
Bravo troll.
Have you ever even watched a game? And what sports do you deem acceptable?
Chill, bro. Basketball is fine, I just don't think it's better than hockey.
***** baseball isn't even relevant here, but is about as exciting as watching paint dry. But I would like to hear your defense of both against hockey if you don't mind.
NHL is way better Lebron gets a cramp and stops playing but in hockey a player dies on the bench is revived and asked to go back out
Harrsion Morley you're not running sweating on the court you don't know that. Basketball and soccer requires the most athleticism
t a WTF soccer is a joke there's barely any athleticism just a bunch of fuckboys running around kicking a ball
t a bitch what your joking right running back and forth is hardest thing on planet earth.
t a I have just one challenge for you so you could understand. Try to skate as hard as you can for 20 to 30 seconds. You will be gasping for air. yo this is a late reply, but bro, you clearly have never had a cramp.
Reason 1: The NHL is hockey, and the NBA is basketball. No further explanation needed.
Exactly, basketball is 4x as fun. Who fucking ice skates? Lol
Nick R I'm sorry but hockey is more exciting. Having people run into each other at high speed with blades on their feet. Takes more skill, more strength, more stamina, and more durability.

Dustin Brown more skill doesn’t mean more exciting. Ratings decide excitement and yet why NBA has better ratings than NHL.
NHL players can play through injuries like a broken ankle or jaw NBA players cant play through a sore ankle
Blind Ref How the hell are you going to jump with a sore ankle dumbass? SMH
+Nati surafel I jump with a sore ankle...but that's because I'm a hockey player.
Nati surafel how are you supposed to skate with a broken femur or a punctured lung?
how the hell are you gonna skate with hairline fractures on your heel? Just ask Erik Karlsson.
Kevin McHale played through a broken foot
I'll agree NHL Playoffs better than NBA Playoffs
"Socially acceptable real house wives for men to watch" ... You got my subscription!
Just to add to her #9 point. The NHL playoffs are known throughout the world as "The Stanley Cup Playoffs". The NBA Playoffs are just called "the NBA Playoffs", though I suppose calling it the "Larry O'Brien Playoffs" would just sound stupid.
Good points, NHL Playoffs are far superior.
Fighting in the NHL? Honorable mention?
Not much of it in the playoffs. "Playoffs" is what she is referencing
The drama part was so accurate. Great video
NHL> NBA. Katie's shirt > all other shirts
I was going in all NBA but Katie brings up some really great point. There's more discussion about what the players are wearing than ever needs to be in any professional sport.

+JVIPER88 Pretty much that's why I hate Basketball.
NHL is WAY better. always has been.
+delbranderiii never been and never will
Hockey isn't even as good as soccer and soccer is a joke.
Well, I have no idea who the defendant champ is. LOL
I read in Canadian site that last year, NHL playoffs rating was down 61% because no Canadian team made it to the playoffs.
Which means it is because of belonging.
My team is out, I'm out.
hmm, what should I watch, Brutal jaw breaking eye gauging on ice, or men dribbling balls and blowing in each others ear? Game of Thrones, or Mr. Rogers Neighborhood?
Passion. Respect. History. Energy. Physical. Competitive. Playoff Beards. Greatest Trophy in Sports. Anyone can win. Excitement.
I thought the NBA folded years ago. They're on TV?
that is why i love Katie Nolan, she keeps it real
Yes. Nothing beats hockey in my mind.
Actually even better shot at 4:54. I love it keep on smiling! Good reasons though Katie! NHL Playoffs are the best in all of sport!
#nhlisbetter @katienolan What other trophy in sports can you have for a day...and drink out, or bath your child. I believe Patrick Elias did that for an ESPN ad when the Devils won the Cup.
TheMotherfer OV Slept with the cup
most popular food on earth is rice, don't mean it's the best
I never used to like Hockey, but now I'm seriously into it. I don't know why it flew under my radar for so long but now It's second only Baseball for me.
PREACH!!
Hockey is like metal music. It takes the most skill and is the best, but it's the most under rated.
EXACTLY HOW I FEEL your totally right metal and hockey both are like very unpopular and considered dumb but most people can't play a simple metal riff or ice skate with 9 other guys and 5 want to kill you.
+Mike 24 Way to defend yourself "metal and hockey are hard and unappreciated" your argument "no"
+Mike 24 First off why would I ever message you?
+Mike 24 You played and thought it was easy????? I don't believe you!
The NHL playoffs is the only sport when fans sweat more than the players. NBA is more entertainment than sports nowadays. College basketball, however, is a different story....
college basketball is pretty shit tbh. Bunch of amateurs, less than 2% make it to the pros.
patotorrat They're obviously not amateurs, or they wouldn't be playing for big time schools like North Carolina and Kentucky. Obviously, the NBA has a higher skill level, but the competitiveness of the rivalries, the more loyal fanbases, and especially March Madness are what sets it apart to me.
I love this girl. She should be famous
I used to enjoy the NBA playoffs of course this was back throughout late 80s and all of 90s
Spot on
Unfortunately, I have a NFL/College football obsessive-compulsive disorder. Therefore, I couldn't care less what happens after the first week of February until the NFL pre-season. But, I hope that all of you watching sports at this time have fun.
Pause this video on 2:23. Her smile extends all the way up to her cheek bones!
p.s. you have to able to do more than just run to even participate!
I wasnt a nhl fan but now im sold its mor exciting then the nba as soon as that puck drops its none stop action kings fan for ever
Ruben Perez LOL! You were a hockey fan all along! The NBA will always be #1! People who like the nba: World leaders, celebrities, and the average citizen. People who like the nhl: KKK, Nazi, Rich white people, and bums.
+Nati surafel that is a FUCKING JOKE!!!!
Nati surafel the NBA is full of criminals and nobodies
Holy hell, that shirt is awesome! You da best Katie!
NFL, NHL, MMA/UFC, boxing, kickboxing, any full contact fighting sport, Rugby, Australian Rules Football, Lacrosse are the best sports in my opinion.
Oh, bet you were thinking Olympics. 22 Dress, generally 21 play since backup goalie stays on bench.
gotta love hockey.
Those were all opinions as to why she likes hockey, not actually facts that it's better. This is all a matter of upbringing and preference. If you grew up watching and/or playing a certain sport, that is what you will continue to do. Except baseball. Fuck baseball.
Anthony Carson I grew up watching baseball and golf, when I found other sports i HATED baskeball and golf
This man speaks the truth!! #TurnUpInTeal
NHL is better. If you have a playoff team, then you’re Stanley Cup hopes are alive. If you’re a Raptors fan, forget it.
I think the hole drama thing is so true
What's the NHL again?
***** so classy bro. so you are shouting that you are homophobic to prove a point? i hate baseball as well. but you just come across as an ass hat in that comment.
that "roar" was hilarious!!
At the end of the day sports ratings is the only possible way to decipher the "better" sport anything else is just straight bias.
The counter attacking in hockey is much more slower than normal fastbreaks in NBA
/watch?v=vknd-VUiO40 i'm sorry, what did you say?
Excellent comparison with Big Bang Theory. Show got so repetitive after season 4-5. Anywho, you go girl!!!
Im a fan of both, but 2015 nhl game 3 rated 4.6, nba game 3 rated 13.7, not even close
Which is more popular? Exactly.
To continue the growth of the NHL in the US, we need more Patrick Kane's.
When it comes overtime, I think the NBA are much more superior because it's win or go home type of situation
What do you think the NHL is?
Yeah, hate that "Sudden Death Overtime" means lose and stick around for a bit longer. Much more exciting anticipating and watching the Kings end it on a single shot in overtime versus seeing the Heat open up a 10-point lead and then play for 6 more minutes (hypothetical...the Heat will win in regulation.)
Love that shot at Big Bang Theory
Not really. Smh.
7. YES!!! GO NHL!!!
8. No comment. Purely didn't make any sense
Evidence for basketball being super low on the sports totem pole in Massachusetts/New England.
The first round of the NBA playoffs were amazing. Also you can't compare Hockey to Basketball, that's like saying why are soccer games always so close.
No other sport can compare to a live NHL playoff game.
It's all a matter of opinion, awesome shirt btw
How many superstars does NHL have? Now how many superstars does NBA have? Lebron, Curry, Kyrie, D Rose, D Wade, James Harden, Dwight Howard, CP3, Carmelo, Bosh, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin and I can name at least 20 more
1:06 I still don't get why the NBA hasn't fixed this problem. All those timeouts. Why not eliminate them gradually until it's one per game like the NHL?
well said kaite
Don't care for either sport but I'll be watching the NBA finals over hockey.
I do agree hockey is a much better sport than the NBA though. :)
That's very counterintuitive
Brandon Cimino I'm from San Antonio, only reason I'll be tuning in.
I'm sad because I'm a blackhawks fan
Totally agree that the NHL playoffs are better, but at least the NBA does more about flopping and diving than the NHL....
You get a penalty for embellishment if you flop?
Great stuff, Katie!
I agree. Hockey rules.
Love the Real Housewives jab.
Stanley cups finals : 7.7 million views NA finals 28 million views
The only thing that proves is that there is 28 million idiots out there
NBA finals 28 million views : Super Bowl 128 million views football is obviously way better than basketball by your standards then right ?
This is why people hate hockey fans lol. Lots of hockey fans don't even defend their sport but just downplay other sports
I like hockey and I can see the appeal with it but almost every hockey fans have like an inferiority complex. You can't even talk about any other sports with them.
Which sport or league is better comes down to preference
Dude I'm a huge hockey fan but I still watch other sports just not as much
That is by far the worst argument I've ever read in my life. It honestly makes no sense
Are you 12 or something? How does this not make any sense? Get a dictionary so you can actually understand.
Anonymous User again that is a terrible insult, where do you come up with these kid. BTW pretty much fans of every single sport in the world if it be soccer, football or hockey downplay other sports. get some actual facts then try to argue instead of pulling random shit out of your ass.
Jamie Lee you want facts? European Champions League viewership is NHL Finals viewership x115. Lol
I'm Canada and hockey is pretty boring I'll take NBA over it any day
+alameao ah poor baby, it must be terrible for you to live in a country that loves the sport that you hate.like americans who hate football...
#NHLisbetter
Alex Hay nba is better. Soccer and basketball is better woooooh
t a has 0 likes
was on her side till that thing about big bang theory
KN, You can SING?! We want more.
I fucking HATE the bing bang theory.
01:45 Troy Daniels scores game winner! Take that
NHl is the only game besides the nfl your allowed to hit someone as a means to stop them people call nba a contact sport but it isn't anymore than baseball is the contact is only allowed if it is inadvertent if its deliberate your penalized. this puts it in a category of only 2 sports ( of the big 4 don't gimme all your rugby lacrosse crap) unlike the nfl they play more than once a week and some of the top skaters get up to speeds of 30 mph and its plyoffs are all 7 game series there are no shortcuts to claiming champion, no matter what opinions are a hockey player knows whos superior
I would like to watch hockey but ya boi don't understand
Just get to know the basics and you'll get it
no but this is the honest goodamn truth
She has a point but i think that the Nba still better. They hav 32 in the top 100 highest paid players and NHL has none. Its the best paid sport and now its the second most popular after football.NBA is still better
So, it sounds like you have the quantity over quality psyche.
I like this girl.
PREACH
I want to give you a hug and say thank you.
Too cute awesome 👏 😎
Slow paced games and not to mention the constant diving every game, is the most boring sport to watch by far.
I wish she was my wife
#1. although close games in hockey might be more often nba close games are much more exciting. Its harder to score in the NHL than in the NBA therefore i would rather watch a close NBA game than a NHL game
#2. OR you could sometimes take a crap and still come back with no new news..
#3. watching the best of the best perform is what fans like to see.. bench the chumps.(this aint highschool)
#4 sounds more like a personal opinion...
Nba has better drama IMO
#9 same with hockey? lol hockey isnt so popular..
💯
Go Red Wings
