No Ori only sells to apartment owners. If you're a renter - there's still no wide available system of elevator beds I know of. Some are for vans - but costly (1500€) only for the lift. Those have 4 supports on either bed corner though, this one looks much sleeker.
My first apartment was a small studio. I had a Murphy bed. It took no more time to close the bed than it takes to straighten a regular bed. I can't justify, nor can I afford $16,000 for a bed.
Certainly convinced me, Murphy is the only way to go. Even if the costs are comparable (which they are no where even close) I don’t want a bed that is going to overtake the room. Imagine having to move that behemoth. Keep it simple!
"Keep it simple" "Murphy is the only way to go" There's definitely no simpler option for a bed and murphy beds are notorious for how easy they are to move.
When I was a kid, about 50 years ago, my mom bought some Murphy beds from a hotel that was closing down. There were mattress clips at the foot of the bed. It took less than 27 seconds to get out of bed put two clips on the mattress and fold it into the wall without making the bed. I love the Ori bed concept but…. The newer Murphy beds don’t require straps the “legs” that fold over when opening the bed are also used to hold the sheets and the bed in place when folded into the wall. Super simple and super fast
Hi Ariel! The Cloud Bed uses very sensitive motors that detect any sort of obstruction and immediately stops if it encounters one. You can stop the movement with just a light, two-finger push.
For the $ 16,000 this costs to purchase, I can easily justify the extra 60 seconds to put away my bed. If you keep the bed for 20 years (and you won’t), that extra minute of “leisure” time costs you $ 2.19. And I am positive that those linear actuators won’t last 20 years. Neat idea. But really just a great example of “just because you CAN do a thing doesn’t mean you SHOULD do a thing.”
Thanks for the comment, Robert! We actually work with real estate developers to install these in apartment buildings, so users aren’t paying the full upfront cost themselves (and depending on scale of the project, the cost is a good deal lower than the $16K you cite). Additionally, our products are tested for 15-20 years of typical use without major parts replacements. The parts used are also very commonly available to keep repairs fast and affordable as well.
The problem with these kind of videos is that I immediately dislike Ori living. Haven't we all learned at sales course that you should not down talk others to make yourself look better? This video is doing its very best to tell that the murphy bed is bad compared to your own product. Hence the comments you get under this video. It does not help that you put the "good" product with a light pyjama thin girl with great views and the other in dark pyjama with bad view outside. This is a very very bad advertisement attempt.
In real life a Murphy bed is easier to stow than a hydraulic bed. You also don't need to make up the Murphy bed before stowing. And a hydraulic bed is far nore prone to repair.
I am sure there is a significant price difference! I would just go with the Murphy bed and slide sofa in front of wall once it’s lifted up to save space🤭😉
I preferred the murphy bed. I wouldn't want that huge wooden frame obscuring the ceiling. Also, my bedroom has a ceiling fan, so the cloud bed wouldn't work.
Ori Cloud beds START at 16,000.00 and Murphy beds range in price from about 600.00 to 1800.00 on Amazon. I’d say that a Murphy bed is definitely a much better investment.
So what I learned is that it only takes two minutes to put away a Murphy bed, which is not much longer than the time it takes to make the bed.
Only if u broke🤣
What if I want to just buy the lift to build my own. They sell it?
@@getzdigitalmarketing6132Dunno if this one does but there are electric bed lift kits.

I imagine dreaming like I'm flying only to wake up and my cloud bed has risen and I'm about to die.
💀
This is a fantastic ad for traditional murphy beds
🤣 So true. And how many have like 12' high ceilings. Dumb

This is a bit complex, but I think it needs a sensor to detect if someone is underneath so it can stop when going down

@@Ori_Living The only problem is that nobody here likes your company because of the stupid bad advertsiment attempt video. See my comment.
Any chance of getting these in New Zealand?
how much is cloud bed system ?

are these only available in the apartments, or can I buy the unit itself
I want a cloud Murphy where can I get one?
No way I would trust that bed to not fall on me at some point
When can we purchase the ori Cloud Bed in Sydney Australia or how can we?
We plan to offer international expansion in the future, but there are no timelines for this just yet. Stay tuned!

Cloud bed not feasible if we have ceiling fans ..
I preferred the murphy bed. I wouldn't want that huge wooden frame obscuring the ceiling. Also, my bedroom has a ceiling fan, so the cloud bed wouldn't work.
I would guess that if you can afford to pay the price for the Cloud Bed, it would be better spent on the rent for a larger apartment.
Our products come pre-installed in select apartments in the US and Canada, meaning renters aren't shouldering the full cost.
How much would this cost to get installed in Montreal Canada?
I think for individual sales they charges $16k USD if you are in NYC.
10ft ceiling needed.
Imagine if you remember your cellphone was in the bed after you left the home when you're literally late for class😢
Now show the price difference
Hola , tienen representación en España?
Catalunya ?
Ó Girona ?
May look convenient on the surface but am not convinced -- I'll still take the good old fashion Murphy. But to each their own.
No way I'm sitting under that
We’ll keep a spot warm for you when you change your mind.
pretty cool design
Seems kinda like it’d be expensive because of electricity, plus isn’t that a little over the top to save a few minutes out of your day?
The Cloud Bed is quite energy efficient! The system uses about one-tenth the power of a hair dryer while it's moving, which only takes 30 seconds.
Where can I get this?
shop.oriliving.com !
Cuanto cuesta...
My landlord might have issues but heck they’d have issues with the Murphy bed.
It looks like they only sell to NY
Incorrect, we have apartments available all over the country! Check rent.oriliving.com
@@Ori_Living you will ship your cloud bed to san antonio texas?
I bet the lady on the left has more disposable income now.
Not necessarily! Even traditional murphy beds are more expensive than you may realize. And as they say-time is money ;)

Damn that ori gal used the restroom, had breakfast, showered, got dressed, and read a damn book
Ori not selling for the public?…..
Bummer its not affordable (~8k or below) for the bed in a single room
if i were a kid, i would try to sleep with the bed above, at the top.
Women w red hair is beautiful 😍
Imagine what happened if one day the electricity shut down - either that blonde trapped on the ceiling or the bed falls and breaks her head.
None of the above! The bed can be moved manually without power but it cannot fall without someone hitting the button or manually moving it.
Or, sleep on the couch.
Cloud Bed….? Great idea, until one day it falls on your damn head….!
Wow
I'll take the Murphy bed lady over the lazy ass cloud bed woman
pointless music
I thought it was pretty catchy.
