Funny you mention that, because Bill Maher brought up how this is a creation of your own: women want a guy that’s sensitive and romantic and caring but when he shows up he’s put in the friend zone because he’s TOO sensitive, caring, and romantic, and they want one that’s a bit more aggressive, hard to get to, and rough…but they don’t want that one either because such guys are pigs who need to be wiped off the face of the earth.

Finn was such a good character. At that time Derek actively acted as an Ahole, the writers should have explored more of Finn. He even could have ended up with an other character....
It’s actually sad that women DO feel like this at 2:45. It’s sad because we women do wanna be treated like they are wanted. She worked hard to impress both boys but they didn’t fight to impress back. I’ve been there (with one dude) I worked hard to impress him and he didn’t get the context clues. Boys are pathetic

Finn offered a more balanced life, there is more to life than a career, I’ve been hoping for years that the character of Meredith world one day discover that life has a lot to offer outside of work. And how can someone live in a place as beautiful as the state of Washington and not enjoy it.
I think that was the point of this whole situation, your comment is essentially addressed in the episode where she gets her appendix out. Finn is better choice, better man, etc, than Derek.. but she loves (loved?) Derek more than Finn. “He’s the one”. I can’t say if that’s really how life works but it’s certainly how this show works
@@laurenbi I can't vouch for everyone, but for me this is not how things work in my life. I have been at situations where I had to decide between a perfect practical choice and a choice that the heart wants. I have always sided with the practical choices.
